I initially wanted to use SWEDE (I used them in 2017) but because of scheduling issues - I ended using another company (R & S Services - big mistake). The other company just vacuumed my fireplace and made recommendations to update the fireplace gas pipe - pointless. What's the used of hiring a fireplace company - that just makes recommendations - and worse the recommendations were wrong. Swede came by - Kyle was great. He inspected the fireplace gas pipe - said pipe was still in excellent condition. He went to the roof and inspected the chimney - nothing wrong. They need to update their media pages. The business is owned by Kyle now. The founders son. He was out today to do a cleaning and inspection of our woodstoves smoke stack. He did a great job. Took all the time he needed in spite of the fact that the baffles in the stove were difficult to take down. He cleaned up so well after himself that you couldn't even tell he was here. He found that there were areas of concern in the structure of the stove as far as operation goes so we will be replacing it fairly soon but at least we know that the pipe carrying the smoke and residual heat out of the house is in good shape and clean. read more
