So I heard about this spot from a couple people and got mixed reviews so had to try it out. I ordered a 2 protein plate, New York Steak and Spicy Teriyaki Chiken no veggies and fried rice. I was very disappointed on both proteins. New York Steak was tough, dry and flavorless without seasoning. Spice Teriyaki Chicken was also tough and dry, it had spice but no Teriyaki flavor at all. The Fried Rice was ok but had some hard pieces like it's been sitting in a warmer for to long and the bottom over cooked and they just mixed it around. I ordered a 1 protein plate New York Steak for my wife and the protein was just as bad as mine. I got 2 Garlic butter and 2 Chili Oil and the total was $60. I have been driving by this place for a while and today I finally made myself check it out. I mean it's hibachi that's not usually hard to mess up. I ordered a two protein plate and a kids bowl. Total I paid $75 I know hibachi is pricey but not an issue when it's good. I have to say I was disappointed the filet mignon was chewy and not cut all the way it had very little flavor I used most of the yummy sauce they give you and that was mediocre at best. The shrimp was tail on and it's so frustrating when you're trying to enjoy your meal and have to peel the shrimp! It took a while to get my food I would expect to be ready to eat. I was not impressed with their food. It's a food truck so can't say much about the location. It's next to a tire shop so it smells like rubber. Very bittersweet experience with My Boyz Hibachi and not sure if I'll return. I am a hibachi LOVER and LA resident so since I was in MoVal, I wanted to get some Hibachi food so I checked out My Boyz with my girlfriend. We arrived at 11PM and ordered two protein bowls with their fried rice. Upon receiving our food, we found that our order was wrong but keep in mind, this is right before they close and we are in the middle of MoVal; the DESERT practically + weirdos outside walking. We informed the cashier of this information and he instead insisted that WE told him the wrong thing. We simply denied this though and offered that he sees the receipt, which was handed to him. Luckily, he remade our food the PROPER way but it doesn't take away from the inconvenience of the long wait. I believe the area made the experience LESS enjoyable but then again, food was good as fuck. If I could give zero stars I would. I came here yesterday and I ordered 4 plates two with double protein and veggies and then 2 other single protein with double rice no veggies. Was told it was going to be a 15-20 minute wait so I decided to wait in my car after about 35 minutes I figured it had to of been done and the buzzer was not working however I go in and yet the group of people who ordered ahead of me still hadn't gotten their food. I was in no rush so I wasn't too upset I waited around for about another 30 minutes. While waiting there was a customer who complaining about his order being wrong and wanting a refund I should've taken that as a sign. About another 15 minutes and my buzzer finally went off the cashier apologized for the wait and I said no problem and left. When I got to my car I realized my food was pretty cold but I wasn't going to make a fuss about. it I live about 30 minutes away so it was a bit of a drive to get there and back once I arrived home I opened my food and saw that they had left out all the veggies and not only that but there was very few pieces of chicken this was extremely upsetting after the long wait and food being cold even after waiting. I called the store to ask about the veggies and the man on the phone said they had just ran out of veggies and so I asked why they did not let me know before leaving or give a discount of any sort I asked how we are going to resolve this issue and he put me on hold. He then came back and said I can drive back and get the veggies and I was like didn't you just say you ran out of veggies? Now all of a sudden you have them again. His excuse was they just started cutting some up when i had left and for some reason didn't let me know I wouldn't be getting any they also did not give me double rice same about as the plates that were supposed to get veggies. I asked for a refund and they said I would have to drive back to give them the plates to get a refund and I live 30 minutes away which is ridiculous for me to come back for a mistake that they made and knew about and denied to tell me. If a business knows that it was them who was in the wrong and made the mistake you would think they would fix it right away. As you can see in the pictures the amount of food is absolutely insane for the price of $30 a plate like what the actual F. this place is a joke and I will never return here again. I was not going to make that drive for their mistake I will be contacting my bank. read more
