Wow, not to shabby! Got in and out of there in a half hour! This MVD location is right by my work, so I decided to go during my lunch! Normally I'd go to the one in Green Valley closer to home. (Love that location too!) Anyway, I think everyone was pretty friendly from the gal at the information counter to the gal that actually helped me. Very knowledgeable & helpful. The whole place was very organized, and clean. Lots of space and seats. I liked that it was nice and cool in there too, not stuffy at all! Close and convenient! Good experience overall. read more

I LOVE this DMV!! The wait is never that long and the people I have seen have been helpful. My expected wait time is never met at this location. I have showed up before they open to be one of the first people in and it wasn't so bad. One time I went in at about 3 or 4pm and didn't wait more then maybe 15 to 20 minutes. Had to get an Arizona driver's license and renew a vehicle registration, so I gritted my teeth and headed in. I got my license within about 10 minutes, but had forgotten I needed an emissions inspection for my car before they could re-register my plates (I lived in a non-inspection state before this one). So I left, got that done, and came back around 11:30 am. By then, the place was PACKED and I had a longer wait. Still...I've waited longer in other states so it wasn't all that bad. I would say the second wait was maybe an hour, give or take. Both times, by some weird coincidence, I got the same woman helping me -- Francisca. This lady is the best! Really nice and made conversation while everything was completed. She really made the process painless. She gets 5 stars for being so kind and efficient! read more

They don't want to help you out any more because of Covid 19, even when you already did things online they still won't try and help you!!!

It was fine. Lines weren't terrible, but didn't move very quickly. Employees were helpful, but put multiple people in the wrong place. Certain things, like asking if you've filled out forms online, weren't asked, and duplicate paper forms were provided needlessly. The clerk that helped me was great, and we shared some lovely gallows humor about the whole situation. It's the DMV, and maybe I'm just numb to this stuff now. Terribly long wait times. Their A/C must be on the fritz, not only was the wait time close to 3 hours, with the temp in the building possibly over 80 degrees it felt like a sweat shop. I feel for the people working, under those conditions even if you have a good disposition, by the time you get help it's hard to not be grouchy. ...next time I'm paying a small fee to go down the road to AZ MV Express. read more

Absolute garbage. Every thing needs to be done online, but when you can't get online to do the process, they tell you to call and make an appointment. But when you call it says they can't take your call and to call later. The "supervisor" couldn't run a dog in a circle. She deff can't run a MVD. This place should just be closed down. I went to a place off prince and got all my stuff taken care of same day, with no appointment. The MVD is a joke, and I won't be going back to that pointless location. I really really hope that the supervisor gets let go. She isn't doing anything. Don't waste your time. Check out Arizona Auto License instead. read more

Went in to conduct business and was told to leave because I had a 2 month old tiny puppy with me. 93 degrees at 930am. 1 rude empolyee. Its a puppy and she was sleeping in my hand. I can see if it was an emotional suport goose. It's Arizona too hot to leave anything in a car. read more

Anticipating a long wait, I got there shortly after opening. Imagine how surprised I was when I was out of there in 5 minutes, having changed my vehicle registration from business to personal. The DMV on Shannon has a new, automated system that makes a visit there something to actually look forward to. Oh yes, and the employees are pleasant and welcoming. read more

Arizona DMV is the worst DMV I have ever been to lately. The wait for a new Drivers License wasn't long or frustrating but waiting for it to come in the mail was a fuckin bitch, they told me 10-15 business days. I finally called to see what happen, they told me it would be reordered and it will take another 10-15 business days...I've waited 19 business days now. The temporary ID they give you is literally a piece of shit, you can't use it to do anything or get anything. Ive had problems like no other and have been denied becuz its not a proper ID. I just came from Colorado and I have never had as much problems. I will say this is the WORST FUCKIN STATE EVER!!! read more

I made a call to the local number, not sure which office I contacted with; although now I wish I had. I had the rudest female on the line that I have ever had the unfortunate chance to speak with. After 8 minutes of holding, she answered the line. I attempted to tell her that I was trying to locate the tag sticker that had not been sent to my home. I never got it. She informed me that since the vehicle was in my husbands' name, he needed to talk to her. I informed her he was dead and I didn't need to have him when I paid for his renewal the previous year. She put me on hold without another word. After several minutes, I hung up. I would rather deal with someone else than to ever speak with her rudeness again. If this is the example of the personnel, it's no wonder there are so many complaints. read more

Bleeack! I used to go here due to the location-- EVERY time I went here the wait was always long and the service was the WORST! I couldn't even ask one question without getting attitude, and when I finally made it to the window the women working were the rudest people. Some of the worst experiences ever! I've been to the location on the east side 1-2 times and the customer service there is a bit better. I've stopped going to this location and try to do everything online now as much as possible so I never have to interact with anyone at this place! read more

I tried both places online to renew a registration only to receive a message stating that their wonderful new system wasn't working and would not accept my payment at the time. I then check my checking account and there are 5 charges from MVD pending. I called and was on hold for almost an hour on the last day of the month. Explained issue to person who never said they could help me with the payment process. She took my license number and said someone would call me the next day. Never happened so I called again and waited another hour on hold and was told that I would have to pay an $8 late fee. I explained what had happened and the supervisor actually told me that I could have gone to a 3rd party location and there would be no late charge. When I said that makes no sense because I would have been charged $10 for a processing fee and it was their system that was not working and that I called she basically called me a liar and would not remove the late fee. I have never had such bad customer service in my life!!!! And this is where my taxes are going???!!! If they were a company they would have gone bankrupt from the bad service. I hope that I never have to deal with them again! read more

Went on-line and did most of the paperwork and got a barcoded form and instructions 07:47 arrived at the site for a 08:00 opening. 35 people ahead of me in the queue 08:00 doors open promptly 08:02 at eye test station 08:04 eye test completed, have service slip with number and completed form 08:09 photo completed, move to waiting area 08:25 move to counter for finalization 08:32 complete, have temporary license print-out, moving to the door PRO: great people (friendly, professional, quick), speedy process, good location CON: is still The DMV (unsanitary eye test apparatus, too little seating for peak traffic, loud service/window announcements, Kafka would be at home) NET: great people, structural limitations, great experience for a DMV (in the olden days in Ohio you had to go to the and wait inn line two hours to renew a registration) Will go again (in 5 years) read more

I had to renew my driver's license at the Green Valley station. I was on a mobility scooter...even so it went quickly and smoothly. Hats off to some really good people. They are getting a new building and it shoud be even faster. I'll only be 81 then...maybe they can serve me at my bedside. That is the only way it could be better. read more

Every single time that I've come to this place something wrong happens. The supervisors, especially Crystal, don't even recognise their mistakes or try to even fix any issues. This location is closest to me and that's why i come here. But, on one occasion, the girl didn't know what she was doing, so she was getting help from her neighboring co-worker. I asked for a supervisor, denied a supervisor because they were "with other customers" so i waited to see if they would figure out the procedure. I again then asked nicely for a supervisor because i wanted to make sure that what i was getting done was getting done right. Her response was "but she's helping me, she's a supervisor", which she was not. The "supervisor" who was not didn't know what she was doing either. I said "does her name tag have the word supervisor on it"? She noticeably got upset and finally after asking 3 times for a supervisor got one... The supervisor was able to get my stuff done literately in like 2 minutes... During the time i was in front of the supervisor and this "customer service agent" i stated to both of them "I'm sorry if I seemed rude in anyway i just wanted to make sure this was getting done right because"... Then i finished giving them my reason... Their response? No acknowledgement of what i had just said. First of all i should have not apologized for them not knowing how to do their job, but being the super nice lady that i am, i did. Second of all, these "supervisors" need to retrain their employees and really look at what their website says. But that's another issue from a different occasion... Also as a heads up- some Wednesdays they open at noon, yup. Who's great idea was that? On a different occasion, i went to the kiosk to get my tags. I ended up having to get in line and speak to a representative because they had mistakenly entered a wrong digit on my VIN # the previous year-Just to mention a few of the things I've dealt with here. Open Wednesday and Thursday. Debra assisted us today with car registration and the new Arizona Travel Drivers License. She was pleasant, cordial, professional and efficient. In and out in 20 minutes or so. We visited the office mid-day on Wednesday...about 2:00 p.m. There were two employees working and two customers. This is my second visit to this office. Last time waited about 20 minutes and was out in 10 more. Agree totally with others that this is the place to go for your licensing needs. Exceptional people who seem to enjoy their job and have the time to be kind to the folks using their services. read more

I had to have my driver's license renewed because of an upcoming birthday. It was pretty painless, no lines per se, staff was friendly and helpful and I was in and out quickly. I was at the Scottsdale location on Paradise Lane on a Tuesday around 12:30 and expected a crowd, but was pleasantly surprised that the process flowed smoothly. My complaint is about trying to obtain the new Travel ID Driver's License. My husband and I both went online and filled out the paperwork and got a code to scan at the DMV location. He went last week on a Tuesday to process his and was denied a Travel ID because he did not have the 'hard' copy of his Social Security card. He had his driver's license, passport, birth certificate, a utility bill, a mortgage statement and a SS statement. Nope, not good enough. So he just got his regular license. When I went, I was going to be more clever and made sure that I had my SS card, passport, driver's license, a utility bill, mortgage statement, etc... EVERYTHING they asked for. Well, turns out that my mortgage statement was 'incomplete' because the bottom portion that I had torn off to mail in with my payment was missing. All the other information was there proving my identity, but they said it was not good enough. They said I could go home and return with a different statement that was whole. Well, that was the most recent one I have. I pay my bills when they come in and nowhere on the web site did it specify that stub had to still be attached. This is just insanity. Why didn't they tell my husband the week before when he showed the SAME "incomplete" statement that it was not going to be accepted without the stub? The DMV assistant told me they had had a meeting last Thursday to make sure everyone knew not to take incomplete paperwork and she was sticking to the rules. I had her ask a supervisor and she did take my paper and step to the back room for a moment, but who knows if she checked. It was still denied. Seriously, one step forward, two steps back. Why can't they give us specific information the first time???? Not wanting to waste more of my day, I just got the regular driver's license and will be good to go for a couple more years. Worst service ever. Walked in at 4:00 on a Wednesday afternoon to get a personalized plate. Was given a ticket and told to sit down in line "F". I was the only person in line. "Ashley" was the name listed on the cubicle. She was helping someone else. When she finished, she closed her cubicle and walked off. After a few minutes she came back and opened her cubicle. As I'm sitting there waiting for her to call me up a young lady walks up to the head of the next line over and "Ashley" completely ignores me still sitting there on her line and calls the young lady up. I stood up and raised my hands in a gesture of disbelief. "Ashley" made direct eye contact with me, but chose to continue ignoring me. I realized this was a waste of time, wadded up my number and tossed it in her trash can and walked out in disgust. read more

Couldn't have been easier or better (especially given that it's a dmv). Friendly staff, not too bad on wait times, and efficient service.

Waited 30s in the triage line to learn which real line I should go to. Waited 1 minute in the real line, behind nobody. Got a replacement boat trailer licence plate including payment in about 4 minutes. The licence plate was $5. The whole visit took under 6 minutes and I left with a piece of aluminum and a piece of paper for $5. And got a smile from the DMV lady. Such impressive contact with our government. read more
