Only three shrimp chips were provided for the salad. The tofu skin crispy shrimp cakes are really good. It's a light shrimp cake. I was surprised as I was expecting a dense shrimp cake. The spongy shrimp cake contrasted well with the crispy fried tofu skin that wraps the shrimp partty. Tofu skin on dishes like this ends up with two textures, crispy initially then a slight chew once the skin is moist from the juices of the shrimp patty. I enjoyed this very much. The Banh khot is the reason why we wanted to stop here. Banh khot lately has been making its viral fame circuit. But being a street comfort food it has a place in my heart. The shrimp banh hot here is a bit more in the plain side, being just the banh khot shell and a whole shrimp. I think some other places also has a bit of ground pork and onions mixture. The shell was flavorful with a coco nutty essence. If you dislike coconut then this might not be you're favorite but that's usual for this dish.
