I prefer a local, neighborhood pharmacy like Broadway Pharmacy in Lemon Grove. Base upon the Yelp reviews, I telephoned Lawson's. Dr. Ram greeted me as if I were a long-time customer and asked me to have my pharmacist call him. At 12 noon EST, I called my pharmacist who is PST: I explained I inadvertently left a prescription at home. She then called Dr. Ram and I drove the couple of blocks to pick up my prescription. It was a pleasure doing business with Dr. Ram! I took a few of his business cards and gave them to my sister and her neighbors; as he had several existing clients on her street.

Thank goodness that idea has been abandoned that in favor of a new app. Or maybe they deliberately designed an inept cyber agent in order to drive users to the app? Hmmmm... In any case, the app is easy to use and I no longer dread refilling my prescriptions. The app also allows you to leave a message if necessary and the pharmacist will call you back pretty promptly. Oh and the pickup service has been streamlined too. There are multiple terminals to check-in, which bypasses the cumbersome exchange with the tech behind the glass and has eliminated those long lines. Well done and thank you, CVS!

I had no idea that they switched to this automated computer system to check in for a prescription. Instead, I stood in line to talk to the pharmacy tech to only be redirected to the kiosks. Once there, I found out that I had to wait. You know how awkward it is to wait in a pharmacy with virtually no seating. It was me browsing a bit before I decided to open the app and see if I could do anything to speed up the process. I was, by adding a payment option in the app and turning on a notification to let me know it was ready kind of sped this all along. I had to just wait a bit before I got that notification that my prescription was ready and I was set. Once that was done, I could finally go up and tap on the screen to get my prescription. The few things I did find while browsing they rung up as well which saved me time. But, it still felt like I was bothering them by just standing there.

I live on a busy street and can't risk packages being left on my front step. This pharmacy is my "backup location" if another locker is full. The pharmacy is small. The inventory is limited. There is an employee who sits behind a glass enclosure. She is good about retrieving packages. Langley Park has gone downhill for sometime. Hot Shops left. Taco Bell left. Now there is a bus terminal in the strip mall and stores that survived over the years or replaced the ones that didn't. I lock my car even if I am parked in front of the pharmacy for three minutes.

I drove one of the senior citizens to pick up something from there (10/12/2026) and could not believe what I experienced. -Only one elevator was working, -neither escalator was operational, -the self service line was closed to only online orders, and -every line in the store was backed up midway to the back of the store. But, more importantly there were so many senior citizens with different handicaps standing and waiting in these long lines. You would have thought that it was the end of the world. I inquired from a staff member what was going on. They explained that they have a new computer system and have been waiting for the IT department to come and get it fully operational since last Wednesday (10/7). Are you kidding me? So, you are telling me that this billion-dollar corporation can't get IT people out to fix a new system you choose to implement. Along with fixing the elevators and escalators for those who are handicapped? This is unacceptable. They won't take your insurance. Doesn't say that anywhere on the scheduling website either after googling "covid booster fall 2023". Also, ignore the check in text if you're getting a vaccine. Just go to the Pharmacy drop off section and talk to them there. They don't check that you did so on your phone. Poor signage, literally just 2 laminated pieces of paper by the pharmacy, about what to do for vaccines too.
