Stopped in here the other night around 7pm. Place had good energy and a good crowd. Then the owner decided to kick everyone out at 8pm because he wanted to go do karaoke and have drinks down the street. It was a bizarre scene. Just had dinner here with family. Food was exceptional. The Irish nachos and Shepherd pie were outstanding. The service was concerning. The waitress requested that I leave my credit card with the bar, being that my tab was left open. I have experienced this in the past. With credit card fraud on the rise, most businesses no longer make these type of requests. At first I was not concerned. There was a mix up with our group's order going through. Our food came out at off intervals, where part of the group received their orders and the others did not. Another waitress ("problem solver") assessed that there was an issue and took care of us. Once all was enjoyed (again food was great), it was time to settle the bill. A part of our group paid for the entire group. (awesome friends). Still needed to get my card back though... Initial waitress was at the bar. When I requested to receive my card back, she pulled out a little wooden box from under the bar. She rifiled through the cards and was not able to provide me my card. She questioned the 2nd waitress ("problem solver") and this waitress provided my credit card from the front of her smock. Concerned that my card traveled around in this manner and that there are process issues within this operation, though still a great place for some great food and atmosphere. read more

Murphys has a lot of wine tasting but luckily if you are not into that you can get great beer at this pub. We went there several times over the weekend. The ambiance is laid back and cool, families are welcomed and it was cool to see the transition from day to night happened without getting too crazy or loud. On friday we went in the afternoon and enjoyed black and tans and a cheese plate and it was delicious. They had live music that Friday so we came back to enjoy the music. The crowd was chill, music was good and the staff was as attentive as they were in the afternoon. Great spot, very refreshing atmosphere definitely a must to visit when in Murphys. read more

I think I hit Murphy's Irish Pub on a very bad day. I bellied up to the bar on a Saturday afternoon. And sat. And sat. The bartender/waitress was running around serving food, and then there was a kitchen delay because someone didn't show up, and then the Guinness keg blew ... I finally got my beer and then didn't see the waitress again for a few minutes. The locals I met were grouchy but the tourists were having fun ... maybe we had different expectations? It's a cool old pub so I'll probably go back on another trip to Murphys. read more

We love this place and visit every time we come this way! Ambiance and music is great, it is very warm and welcoming! Dog friendly outside area is nice too. Irish nachos with home made chips is great and is great pub food with drinks. Drink options/beer selections is really good, however they are always out of our favorite blood orange option which kind of sucks but there is other options to choose from. Service is always friendly and they really work hard when they are busy. This was also a con because it always looks like they are a little short handed so it takes a while to get our food. We came in because a family member wanted to come in after seeing it the last time they were in Murphy's. We had 9 people but were sat down right away. They had an amazing selection of beers as well as some hard seltzers and hard kombucha. The menu wasn't huge but had a lot of great sounding things on it. We ended up getting a few orders of pretzels, mac and cheese, soup and stuffed avocado. Everything was delicious. They had live music and the performer was great. We ordered the Irish nachos with corned beef. They were amazing. It was a very heavy snack and I recommend sharing. But boy these are worth trying. The service here was great. We've been on the road riding, explored Columbia CA, and went to a spa. Starving. Dinner looks good. Dinner is good. Ate it all and went for a shared Nutella Panini on honey wheat bread. I like Nutella . The Nutella Panini was as fun and tasty to eat as I had hoped it would be and the rum whipped cream was heady Misty, our server, was on top of it. Female worker with a bunch of tattoos around neck and arms was extremely unprofessional. Employee rude and aggressive to elderly grandparent for simply asking why the food took two hours to come out. I have traditionally recommended this place to everyone I know. I have brought several groups of people here, and with every visit the service gets worse. The food has remained fantastic, but I don't think I will be back. Our trip tonight was by far the worst, and it was all because of the servers we had. Maybe the problem was that we had a large group. 7 adults and 2 kids. If it is that hard for them to figure out, they should turn away large tables. Priscilla H., and I came here for a quick lunch and a beer. The menu is small, but everything looked amazing. Unfortunately, some of the things we actually wanted to order they were out of. What I eventually went with was their Gourmet Grilled Cheese sandwich, with a side of Pesto Pasta salad. The sandwich was exactly what I hoped for. They use different types of cheeses in one sandwich, so it's like a cheese party in your mouth. It also has thinly sliced apples, and bacon jam, both of which really made the sandwich that much better. The pasta salad was simple enough, but the pesto they use was incredible. I found whole pine nuts in it, which is a huge A plus in my book. Dean served us on this afternoon, and he was great. He felt bad that he kept having to let us down, telling us that everything we wanted to order was not available. He was very apologetic about the situation. The things we did order came out quick. I know this is a pub, however, the amount of noise from one particular table make it exceptionally hard to think, and enjoy our lunch. I understand a certain level of noise is to be expected, but this was just overly obnoxious. It's nothing against the pub itself, because they're amazing. Just a forewarning. read more

I guess a sandwich is faster to serve than a cup of soup. The server hasn't looked my way once since I ordered, and just told another table that was seated after me that their order will be right out. Totally ignoring me. I guess I'll have to just leave. The owners, Brandy and Dan, have had this place for a year now and they're doing an awesome job. First of all, they support live local music, which brings in the crowds. No matter how busy they are, the staff are smiling and on top of everything! They have a great Irish pub menu. Corned beef tacos, believe it or not, topped with shredded cabbage and a great spicy sauce. I've also enjoyed a simple grilled cheese sandwich which was anything but simple. The flavors were divine--must be the bacon jam. Oh, and perfect coleslaw, too. It really has a pub atmosphere, plenty of beers on tap, and serving local wines as well. You can't go wrong at the! What should one expect as far as music goes in an Irish Pub? I don't know about you, but I want The Pogues. I want U2. I want Thin Lizzy. But that's not the music they play here. I mean, if you like backwoods drunken hillbilly country music, you'll be fine. But if you'd like some Flogging Molly or The Cranberries, you're going to be disappointed. This is an Irish Pub. This is a great little "Irish Pub" in Murphys. I came here before going to an Ironstone concert one night. Stopped in for a quick bite to eat - the service was fast and friendly. I ordered a Snake Bite to start - half cider, half beer. It was tasty and poured well. To eat, I decided on the bangers and mash with a Caesar salad to start. My dad tried the Shepherd's Pie and salad. The food came out fast and hot. The portions are HUGE! The bangers were cooked well and had good flavor. The mashed potatoes were creamy and the gravy was rich. The sautéed veggies were good perfectly as well. The Caesar salad was fresh and had a good dressing (key to any great salad).
