My cousin was really in a pinch and didn't have heat during the winter. When calling atomatic they responded right away. They came with a lot of facts and did whatever they could to restore heat as soon as possible. We opted to perform a furnace replacement with an AC unit. The residential team fitted in the next day after finishing one of their installs working late and taking time away from their family to make sure that our family had heat. Jake stonehecker is a nice technician and was super helpful throughout the entire process. They even store materials back at their shop while we waited for the weather to change to put the AC in. You definitely get what you pay for with this company. We really feel like they did the job right and that's what matters most.

The management company sent out a tech from Atomatic Mechanical Services, Inc. I told the tenant to let me know when he arrives, so I could be present. He came back, he did not call me as I requested, the tenant let him into the condo and he did work without my authorization! I was charged $606.15, without giving my go ahead to do the work! Response was extremely prompt. Had a few hiccups that weren't their fault. Replacement of a 1996 A/C unit and provided options. After at least 8 complete failures of contractors these guys were a breath of fresh air. Highly recommended

I appreciated his honesty as he didn't try to pressure me or upsell me any additional services like the previous company I am now a loyal customer of ASAP HVAC and have been recommending Cordero to my family and friends. Let's just say that friend never returned my calls or texts either. By late morning, I was starting to realize getting same-day service from a company I didn't already have a relationship with was probably going to be an uphill battle. In a slight panic -- because let's be honest, this is definitely a first-world problem, but I can no longer survive without AC -- we called Service Express. They were able to send two HVAC technicians out by 3 PM that same day, and thanks to them, I got to sleep comfortably on the first hot, sticky evening of the season. The technicians were incredibly kind and professional. They took great care to cover their shoes while inside my home, thoroughly explained the issue, and I felt the pricing was very fair. I'll absolutely be using Service Express again in the future and would definitely recommend them if you're in a bind and need fast, reliable service.

I am in total agreement with the other reviewers. "Wow!" is all I have to say about Brad Engler and…read morehis crew. Why don't more business operate like this? Here is the story: I thought I would share what we think is probably the best experience we have had with a home-related repair. I get no payment or any compensation for this. I just think these guys deserve this in case others need to have work down at their home. So our unit has had an original 1993 Furnace/Air Conditioner in it. The A/C didn't work from the time we turned it on this summer (unfortunately, we are finding this out after we closed on the house). We had a repair company come out to have a look and to see if they can help us squeeze a few more years out of it. They charged us $60 per pound for R-22 refrigerant (this is Freon which is getting expensive because of EPA regulations) for 5 pounds. With the service call, we paid $387. That Freon lasted 2 days before the system was blowing hot air again. We had the service company come out and look again and they found that there is a leak in the system. A/C systems have 100s of feet of tubing that the Freon runs through, so chasing a leak is an undertaking and is very expensive. That company refunded 1/2 of the cost of the Freon; which was great (City & Suburban Heating & Cooling - great guys too). After mulling it over, we decided to just bite the bullet and replace the system. We had 4 different vendors come out and quote it. All-Tech and Four Seasons were most expensive. The cost to replace the system including new condenser, furnace, compressor and evaporator was initially quoted at around $5,508 using Bryant equipment. It seemed like this was the best deal but not really. I got a referral to Engler to have one last look and see if they can locate the leak. Engler sent a tech out. He spent 1 1/4 hrs tearing the system apart. I thought the call would cost $98. He couldn't locate the leak. His boss, Brad Engler, called me and said he would look at it himself. He came out 20 minutes later, looked around and suggested that the cost would be too high and to just replace the system. I thought "here is another sales guy trying to take a bite at me". He went through the pieces, why it should be replaced and he looked at the issue of the different temperatures between floors and how to handle it. Being a former engineer and construction guy, Brad was straight up and to the point. No BS with this guy. He quoted replacing the entire system with equipment that he himself uses at his home. At about 64% of the other guys'. Luxaire is the equipment quoted and so I did some research. It is a good brand. When asked how quickly he can get the job done and how long it would take, he said he would switch some projects around be at the house at 9 am the next day and that the job would take about 9 hours. They showed up, were professionals, got the job done and cleaned up after themselves. The system runs beautifully. It has only been one day and the temperature has dropped outside, but the A/C is smooth, has a strong blower and is quiet. Brad supervised the start of the job himself and was the one to come and get me when the job was done. They went as far as to replace the wiring buried in my backyard which was starting to corrode and that wasn't even in his quote. Engler handles installations, service calls, repairs and they also do other mechanical systems. While he was there yesterday, I had him look at my water heater (which is probably the next thing on the death-list) and he does those as well. Anyway, I like to do what I can to support people who are honest and do good work at a great price. Engler did great and really came through at a low cost and quickly for us. We all need these guys at one point or another, so having a referral is much better than not having one. I suggest you always get work quoted first, but make sure that Engler is on your list of providers of people to call.

James: your tech came and all he did (besides his constant: "call my office for a new unit") was spraying (my) water on my 2.5T Trane... THIS IS NOT "MAINTENANCE"... To say: "your system is on borrowed time to say the least and extremely inefficient the older it gets." is immature. the unit works FINE, is very efficient, as I write it. I am a seasoned Senior Design Engineer (has one USA patent granted) and know "something" about "something". I design things for all to use them and for some to service them. 2.5T for a small house like mine is possibly an overkill but that explains its lasting. 40 years of working AC unit is unheard of, correct, but it is ME who decides about replacement or maintenance, and your tech (still working there?) did NOT do the maintenance I've paid for. So, he did no technical work and you owe me that 99(?) bucks :-)
