I went there on Valentine's day with my boy friend (very happy to see their stuff) to get some jewelry supply. The cashiers and customer service was terrible. At some point I found them yelling at me. I was fully shameful and feeling bad in front of my boy friend. Although I spent about 35$ to buy the stuff they were looking at me badly. I will never go there again. I believe this store doesn't obey the US customer satisfaction rules. My suggestion is if you want to go there, please don't have any body with you. I absolutely love this store! When you walk in you're instantly surrounded with millions of products to become creative with! It's a crafters toy house. Staff is extremely knowledgable and has often given me new ideas or helped me tweak my ideas into better ones. read more

I have been there 3 times and each time I think I got lucky. There is a slim lady with rather short dark hair who has gone out of her way every time for me. The last time I was there I didnt see her and another lady asked if she could help me. True, the vibes were bad and I felt stupid for asking the question. Sometimes a bit snippy, but if you deal in customer support as I do then you try and be more understanding. To others that are shopping - please leave your children at home. I remember my mom taking me to Munro's when I was a little girl. It had to be about 50 years ago. At that time they had 1 store space, now they have 4. I go there often and the staff is very friendly. I have never had a bad experience. They usually have everything I need. I don't shop at Michaels or Joann's, I drive 45 minutes to Munro's where they have great prices and friendly service. read more

It pains me so to have to leave even one star. They treat people so bad that it does not warrant an obligated star. 1. The employees are equal opportunity haters. Which means they are quite rude and unhelpful regardless of who you are white, black, fill in the blank, I have even seen children mistreated. 2. Do not ask questions, unless you want to be humiliated. 3. For the people that post comments like deal with it. I do not care who you are or what kind of business it is, NO ONE has the right to treat customers like garbage. 4. Yes, they have been in business for some time, however with the barrage of social media, we have a voice now. 5. The atmosphere is one such that you are made to feel like a bother. As if you should feel lucky that someone is willing to take your money. 6. I hope that if this is ever read that it is understood that many, many businesses go out of business after a hundred years. It does not matter anymore, we have choices. I do not need to take a pill to go into a store, I do not care what the prices and selection are, if you treat me like I am less than, I will prove I am more than and take my business elsewhere. Looked them up to see what the hours were today. Was very surprised to see negative reviews. I live nearby and go there a couple of times a year, and NEVER had anyone be rude to me. The review that said no one greeted her, well the door is not close to the sales counter, and they are ALWAYS really busy. The review that mentioned the security cameras, well, most businesses have cameras now. And having literally thousands of tiny pretty items in full view and loose for the picking, I don't blame them. The blonde haired lady claimed to be the owner??? What, you want a certificate or something? There were several people in the store, the staff was busy helping customers, in a friendly helpful manner. Just makes me wonder where the other reviewers went. I just made my first purchase online at Munro Craft supply and I am SO pleased with my experience! A friend referred Munro's for the Clay we buy (Premo Clay) and said she wouldn't shop anywhere else b/c of how fresh the clay was & how fast the shipping was - SHE WAS TOTALLY RIGHT! She also shared the fantastic discount they give you if you make an order over a certain amount! I feel like I got the best deal on the planet! $200 worth of clay and supplies for $100! I've been to Michaels & Joanne's and they always have OLD clay that you can't even work with, and it's NEVER on sale! So this was a great find! Additionally, I had some questions with ordering and they were SUPER SPEEDY in their correspondence with me and helped me with the checkout process. I have enjoyed shopping at Munro's for twenty years. Yes, the store is often crowded, but the prices are excellent and my experience with the staff has been very positive. They have always been very helpful to me in finding what I am looking for and in giving suggestions and advice. This is a bead lovers dream store. It has every type of bead I could ever want. I found the staff busy, but pleasant and helpful. I was in thrilled with my selection until I found out about the discount, then I was in heaven. Why shop online when you can see/feel the beads that I need, and I have them today. Odd hours, but they are open 2 nights a week, so I can go there after work, and shop wholesale. read more

I went to Munro's right after opening in the morning. I was the only customer in the store. I was looking for items to offer for a class game which involved levels of prizes. I was asking a question and right in the middle of my question, a blonde woman (who I believe is one of the owners) walked by the counter, speaking loudly to her employee, completely interrupting me. There was another brunette, who, I think could see the irritated, incredulous expression on my face, so she said "You can talk to ME". I mean, geez, I AM a customer and was planning to buy something. How rude. How inconsiderate. How unprofessional. I explained that I was buying excess items and the students wouldn't be picking them all, so could I bring any back, etc. So, I took some back 48 hours later and the same blonde woman answered a question as to whether or not I could return a yarn project book. (No, I couldn't). Anyway, I wasn't arguing about the answer, I just couldn't remember, but I felt like she just wasn't NICE. I mean, how hard is it to be pleasant? When I first learned of Munro Crafts I was super excited to patronize a local business that had such a huge selection of craft supplies. Throughout the last 7 years I have frequently shopped here instead of buying over the internet or giving my money to major corporations, such as Michael's. Sadly, I have come to the realization that I would have to be a glutton for punishment to continue returning to this store. I can almost overlook the fact that the place looks like a junk yard and tat the check out process is so antiquated (ever hear of something called a computer?!?) but it is the horrible service that has made me decide to never shop here again. The staff are a gaggle of surly sourpusses who are rude to customers and each other. I have not had one visit to this store where I was met with a smile or was offered help finding something. In fact, during most visits I have left the premises feeling as if I had inconvenienced the staff for wanting to make a purchase. During my last visit I not only had to endure a clerk that was short tempered and rude to me but I also had to listen to her whine about having a migraine and complain to her co-workers about one of the other staff members. Completely unprofessional. It is behavior like this that will bring about the demise of this establishment. I will be spending my money elsewhere. read more
