Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Even though I was there for almost three hours, I could tell Del genuinely wanted to make sure the issue was fixed correctly. He took my car out several times to make sure the shaking at 70 mph was gone, and I really appreciated the extra effort and attention to detail. I left my car with these guys for 3 months to replace my radiator, change out hoses, replace a…read moreclutch pin, change out fluids, perform a tune-up with new plugs, timing, and a carburetor rebuild (per Ron). $8000 worth of work at $140 per hour. Following completion of work my buddy collected the car and had it transported to me in Franklin, TN. First drive produced sputtering, black smoke, high idling, and poor gas mileage. In addition there was a tear in a newly upolstered driver's seat, permanently creased plastic windows on my new top from being left down in the wrong position for 3 months, and a missing cap on a directional. Shaun answered the phone and told me all mechanical issues were due to a 600 foot elevation change (happens around 8000 ft, not 600 ft) and that even after an $8000 repair job they don't have time to test drive the vehicles after service (must be done after a carb rebuild), and that they were not taking any responsibility for damages to the vehicle. It gets better. After inspecting the vehicle, the plugs were all gapped differently and incorrectly for my 1976 Triumph TR6. The carburetors had never been rebuilt, and the points were not gapped correctly. Also, the rocker cover could not be freed up and could not possibly have been removed to reset the valves. Ron called me back about my concerns and tried to blame my buddy for not using the choke correctly, thus undoing all not his work. I explained that my buddy collected vintage cars which all have to be started with a manual choke, so that excuse wasn't valid. I explained it had only been driven 30 miles. I then told him I checked the plugs myself which appeared to be very old ( I supplied new plugs) and that none were gapped correctly. He had no explanation other than Shaun had worked on this side of the engine. When I questioned Shaun's reason for the poor engine performance he again blamed the driver. Then I told him I sent pics of the carbs to a TR6 forum and took the car to someone familiar with Stromberg carbs. When he heard that someone else looked at the carbs he then admitted he had never rebuilt the carbs, which he billed me for 8 hours at $140 an hour plus a $200 rebuild kit. Claimed he forgot to remove the charges. He had personally called me to collect this particular charge before releasing the car, so how would he forget to remove the charge? Wait, it gets better. He offered to refund me 50% of the charges on the carb rebuild, not 100%. I asked why he would keep half of the charges on work never performed and suddenly I was offered the full $1300 refund. He wasn't even going to admit that he had not done the work until I told him another professional told me the work was never done. Is this an honest person making an innocent billing error. Based on the valves not being adjusted, plugs looking old and not gapped correctly, and the points wide open (yes, I could have done my own work but didn't have the time), it is obvious I was being taken for a ride since they knew I wouldn't be there to inspect the car before it was shipped to me in Tennessee. Pretty sure they figured I knew nothing about cars. I was not refunded for the other work that was obviously never done. The only reason I have not called the police and reported fraud is that I am not going back to Stuart, Florida again. Ron and Shaun shouldn't be trusted. I just sold my practice, Lively Orthodontics after 30 years of business in this town. Anyone that knows me in Stuart knows that honesty, integrity, and quality were the cornerstones of our business. I am appalled that any business would try to get away with charging for work never done. Buyer beware.

I brought them a $325.00 Toro push mower that needed the carburetor cleaned and the old fuel replaced due to sitting for a few months. The mower looks brand new and it was only used a couple of times. There is not even grass stains on the wheels. Nick the man at Mowchines I dealt with told me it would cost $60.00 -$70.00 dollars to clean the carburetor, replace the gas and call them in an hour to pick it up. I called them in the requested hour and they told me that they needed another hour because the carburetor was so filthy it needed to be ultrasonically cleaned. I called them back in another hour's time and they told me that the carburetor could not be properly cleaned as filthy and pitted as it was and the needle was totally plugged up and could not be cleaned. Nick then told me the entire carburetor needed to be replaced at the NOW cost of $150.00. Or I could pick up the mower and pay them $38.52 for the diagnosis. I picked up the mower from them, paid them the $38.52 and immediately drove down to West Palm Beach to see a friend of mine that knows how to repair mowers. I told the Nick gentleman at Mowchines that I would be doing this because I found his diagnosis and jacked up price hard to believe! My friend pulled the carburetor off and it was obvious that it was hardly dirty at all, the needle was not pitted or plugged up at all and it was totally fine. My friend simply sprayed and wiped down the carburetor with carb cleaner, put it back together, put fresh gas into it and the mower started on the first pull and ran like new. He then shut it off, waited an hour and again restarted it on the first pull, It runs like a charm! This tells me that High-Performance Mowchines in Port Saint Lucie was not being honest with me to take my money without doing the proper job I came in for! After this ordeal, I will get my $38.52 back from them one way or another! It's a good thing I listened to my feelings and did not get taken for the jacked-up price of $150.00. All I can say after explaining this experience is to be careful when dealing with them! I know that I will never deal with Mowchines again!

The transmission never worked right from day one and the other shop would not take care of the problem. When I came to transmission Solutions the transmission builder offered to tear the transmission down right in front of me. Turns out the performance parts were used. And only one set of clutches and steals were burnt up. Instead of charging me for a full rebuild like I had agreed to they ordered the parts I needed and found the problem with my truck turns out the performance valve body I purchased all the bolts were loose. Thank you everyone at transmission Solutions for your honesty and knowledgeable quality work. My high horsepower ram is now burning tires and not clutches.

Explained i have heard nothing about my boat. She stated she would talk to Russ. Either she ( Barb) or Russ would get right back with me. About another week or more passes. No word from Offshore. I called them again to try and get the status of my boat. I was told by Barb that the company they order parts from was hacked by hacker using ransomware no telling when i could get parts for my boat. I waited a week or two. Not sure of exact time. I called and left a message on offshores voice mail. Stating i would like to continue doing business with them but if they could get the part by July the 4th i was going to pick up my boat. The following day Russ called my home. He told me in a hostile voice to come and pick up my boat today. I explained the soonest time i could pick it up was Thursday June 29/23. About 5 days later. He again demanded i come and pick up my boat today. I said i couldn't. I live about 90 miles from his shop. I did pick up my boat on Thursday as promised. I was very disatisfied with the personal service received and communication. I will never do business with them again. If i coulld give them less than one star. It would be minus stars.

About two years ago, I decided to relocate my 35 foot Fountain to Florida so I could take advantage of the warmer climate and use it more than just three months of the year. Being over one thousand miles away makes it very difficult for me to do anything on the boat myself. It is extremely important for me to have a marine facility that can maintain, store, and transport the boat for me. Since I have been using them, they have exceeded all my expectations. They have safely transported my boat to variety of different ports including Miami, West Palm Beach, and Key West. The boat has always been delivered on time and ready to go upon my arrival. In addition, OPM is very accommodating. On my recent boating experience from Key West to Miami, the weather took a turn for the worst. The sees became impassable about half way through the trip and thunderstorms encompassed the entire eastern coast of Florida. OPM arranged for a different pickup location upon a moments notice and transported the boat an additional 90 miles back to their facility. I was extremely happy to be out of the rain that day and to know the boat is safely stored at OPM. BG
