Mobile tire repair…read more If you live in the PSL area, screws and nails in tires is a thing - thanks to all the homebuilders. Walking past my tire I see a big ole screw jutting out and the air pressure is low according to me sensor - wonderful. Having had some negative experiences with the local tire shops who all want to sell you a new tire instead of a relatively cheap repair, I popped online for a search to see what the alternatives were and Perry Mobile Tire Service popped up. All the reviews looked promising so I gave them a call - James answered, we had a quick chat and he said he would be by in about 30 minutes. 30 minutes later that truck pulled up and we had a good conversation as he proceeded to repair my tire while the car was in my driveway- what more could you ask for? Price was what he quoted over the phone and James was just a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended for all your tire needs- he does more than repairs so keep him in mind.

I don't leave a lot of reviews, but when a shop earns repeat business in a short period of time,…read morethat says something -- and that's exactly what happened here. My first visit was an emergency: two damaged tires on my 2024 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum. Scott, the manager, and his crew handled it exactly how you hope a good shop would -- no drama, no pressure, no nonsense. They explained my options clearly, gave me a fair price, and got me safely back on the road. The work was done right, and the pricing was honest. Because of that experience, I came back again with my daughter Kate's car for an oil change and tire rotation -- and the service was just as smooth the second time. That consistency matters. You don't always get it at chain stores, especially new locations, but this team has it dialed in. The shop itself is clean, organized, and well-run, and you can tell Scott takes pride in building a real neighborhood presence here -- not just another faceless tire store. His crew is friendly, efficient, and respectful of your time. If you want quality work, fair pricing, and people who actually care, this place is absolutely worth supporting.

Advance Auto Repair & Transmission - Please Read Before Trusting This Shop With Your Transmission…read more I normally do not leave negative reviews, but after dealing with this issue from November 2024 through 2026, I feel obligated to share my experience so others can make an informed decision before spending thousands of dollars here. In November 2024, I brought my vehicle to Advance Auto Repair & Transmission because my transmission was slipping. After speaking with the owner, Frank, I paid $3,991 on 11/2/2024 to have my transmission rebuilt. About a week after getting my car back, I noticed transmission fluid leaking and had to return the vehicle for repairs. They corrected the leak, but approximately three months later, the transmission began slipping again. I brought the car back, and Frank repaired it without issue. However, shortly afterward, the torque converter (which is part of the transmission system) failed. The torque converter was replaced multiple times because, according to Frank, the parts supplier kept sending defective parts. Eventually, he ordered the part directly from the dealership. Unfortunately, after the replacement, the transmission slipping returned again. I continued reporting the issue, but every time we test drove the vehicle together, the problem would not happen while Frank was present but did happen when one of his employees test drove it with me for about 30 minutes and he cleaned a certain part that he thought would fix the problem, which it didn't. When I brought it back and told frank his employee noticed the slippage, we asked him but now he state he doesn't remember. Are you serious. What kind of shop is this. So frank again told me he believed I was "paranoid" and insisted the transmission was fine. Instead of fully resolving the issue, he extended my transmission warranty as a "courtesy." However, my concern was never about extending the warranty -- it was about properly fixing the transmission while it was still under warranty. I continued driving the car despite the slipping because I had already invested nearly $4,000 into the repair. Over the course of 2024 into 2026, I repeatedly brought the vehicle back regarding the same issue. Throughout this entire process, I remained patient and respectful, despite the ongoing frustration. My final visit was especially disappointing. After waiting for Frank to return from a test drive, he walked into the office laughing. I told him I did not understand what was funny because this situation has cost me thousands of dollars and years of inconvenience. Once again, he dismissed my concerns and told me the transmission was fine and that I was simply paranoid after we test drove it for only about 5 minutes. What makes this even more frustrating is that multiple passengers who rode in my car independently noticed the transmission slipping without me mentioning anything to them beforehand. Clearly, I am not imagining the issue. Before I left, Frank informed me that my warranty had expired, despite the fact that the original transmission problem was never permanently resolved while the warranty was active. Advance Auto Repair & Transmission advertises "100% guaranteed work," but based on my experience, I do not feel that promise was honored. After paying nearly $4,000 , which I'm still paying on and spending over a year returning to the shop for the same unresolved issue, my transmission is still slipping. Frank got paid, I still do not have a properly repaired transmission and I'm out of $4000.

My air…read moreconditioner started making noises and blowing warm air, and I was dreading the potential cost and inconvenience of getting it fixed. However, as usual, Mike dealt with the issue with professionalism and a genuine commitment to solving my problem without gouging me with a costly repair. Mike diagnosed the issue and explained it to me in terms I could understand, which I really appreciated. He gave me a clear breakdown of the repair process and an estimate of the cost, which was fair and reasonable. He didn't JUMP to charge me for an expensive part that I didn't need (which the dealership would have done). The repair itself was completed in a timely manner, and when I picked up my car, the air conditioner was working better than ever. I have been going to Mike for my car repairs for many years as I value both his honesty as well as his dedication to customer satisfaction. I highly recommend Mike's for their work, their honesty, and their attention to detail.

Update to my original post...when I was NEW (naive) customer…read more Thought I'd found a great mechanic but low & behold...just another disappointment! It's taken me awhile to write this since I do have other life priorities than writing reviews. But here it finally is. After they changed my front brakes, and let them convince me the rotors needed changed but...did not. What was I thinking?! Anyway...finally had funds to get the rear brakes done. Was given an estimate but then AFTER the brakes were done & I got the bill it was $200 higher (I realize and estimate is just that) however $200 when they couldn't get the ones quoted so got the more expensive ones, without telling me First! Considering I am barely surviving on SS (which they were aware of my financial constraints) but even if not...they should've told me BEFORE they did the job giving me the option to reschedule!! It wasn't a dire emergency! It wouldn't been the smart decision...it's just poor business sense if one really cares about retaining a customer! On top of that, the rotors unlike the front ones which aren't near as bad, have the greatest amount of brake dust I've ever experienced on my 19 yo car...it accumulates in less than 2 days! They constantly need Cleaned it's so horrendous and unsightly...and for $200 MORE?!?! Plus they Screech when I brake!! Unacceptable & Inexcusable!! I should've listened to a previous post to take business elsewhere. Another one bites the dust!! Literally! uUIp
