I found this place while exploring soho the other day. The store is quite big and had a great selection. The purse I ended up getting happened to be on sale and was in a new color that you can't even get online yet. The sales associates give young your space to browse around but are also super friendly. The initial crossbody I saw had a gold chain which I felt was a a little flashy for an everyday purse. They suggested this saddle purse with a leather strap that I love. They also have a lovely sitting area in the back with alot of natural lighting....if you happen to bring a significant other who wants someplace to chill while you browse. read more

The customer service at this store is horrendous. The store has its doors locked and uses the excuse that it's to "control the crowd". I thought this was strange because: 1. None of the surrounding stores are doing this 2. The store was completely empty. There wasn't a single customer I now know why there were no customers. Once we were let in we were greeted by a male representative who was nice enough and he allowed us to walk around to check out the bags. While checking out a few items it became clear we were being watched. A female employee with long, black braids was watching us. To make sure we weren't imagining it we zigzagged across the store. Every single area we went to she silently followed. She didn't even pretend she wasn't following us. Understandably, we were offended and disgusted. We were not treated this way at any of the surrounding high-end stores. We decided to just leave. Nobody is interested in being followed and stared down while trying to have a luxury shopping experience. read more

I'm really not a fan of snooty service or having my ability to afford something be assumed (often incorrectly) by sales staff. I came in to check out a bag I'm considering purchasing to use at work. While examining it, a salesperson came over and in quite a condescending, bless-your-heart kind of tone, told me the price. I had no idea this store existed...until FNO 2011. I just wandered in randomly and move to the back of the store and got myself nice and buzzed with endless blackberry mojitos. The store is huge and everything is in gold. I found it to be a bit gaudy for my taste, but I am not passing up free alcohol. I later find out that this is a British brand and now everything clicks in my head. That explains why the bartenders and store clerks were wearing bright red guard uniforms. Just for a moment there, I thought they were just being cheeky. There is no way I could ever or want to afford this store. I mean, why does a handbag cost $950? I don't care what it is made of, it shouldn't cost almost a month's rent to buy material items. Sigh. What is this world coming to? Oh well, at least I got inebriated here. I am more into French fashion than British - I am definitely NOT a fan of Mulberry bags. There's really nothing extraordinary designed or special regarding to their aesthetics. I live in Seattle and there is no Mulberry in our area (nor is it a common brand in this part of the country). I found a wallet I really loved on their website, but it was always out of stock. I sent an email inquiry on a whim and someone from this store wrote back within a day to let me know they had one in stock. I was able to call and order over the phone. They sent the wallet the same day. I have to say, it was packaged beautifully. They actually put it in a box in the bag, tied with ribbon, and then wrapped the whole bag in tissue and mailed it. I just ordered something from a Louis Vuitton store and it was just thrown in a box and shipped like I'd ordered a mundane cheap item on Amazon. Mulberry went out of their way to make this package look high end, even though I spent very little. I look forward to visiting this location in person the next time I'm in NYC! read more

I've been a big fan of Mulberry bags for awhile now. The styles are timeless, and they don't annoyingly cover every inch of their products with their mulberry tree logo. Also, I like the fact that Mulberry isn't too popular in the States (yet), so I know I won't run into a bunch of other women with my same bag. I purchased the Alexa bag here back in June, but I had to bring it in today because it was showing some unusual wear on the leather lining. Without any question, the associate helping me said he could have it sent to Mulberry's repair center in Jersey. The fixes will be free, since the problem occurred within 12 months of purchase (it's part of the Mulberry guarantee), and normal turnaround time is around 3-4 weeks. For bags past the 12-month purchase period, they can still be sent to Mulberry's repair center. I showed one of the associates my beat-up Mabel from 2008, and he said I could get it fixed and cleaned up for around $100. I might have to take him up on that in the future! Customer service has always been top-notch when I've visited. Unlike most designer boutiques, the associates here don't look down on you or treat you like crap if you're not decked out head to toe in haute couture. When I needed advice on a men's belt a few months ago, I had 3 associates taking the time to help me! I really appreciated it. The men's cuff links here are beautifully crafted and uniquely designed, too. I've seem some beautiful clothes for women... I can justify paying a lot for a nice bag, but I can't yet justify shelling out $1000 for a skirt or dress. I get a lot more frequent use out of a bag! Overall, highly recommend, and if you've never heard of Mulberry before, definitely check them out if your style is classy and elegant. This store is definitely the largest and most beautifully laid out in NYC. If you're eyeing a particular product, try to see what the likelihood would be of it going on sale. Mulberry has a sale twice a year (I believe June and December), and products are typically 20%-50% off! read more

I came here to pick up a bag I order online last month service I received from manager/cashier was great except the retail workers when I walk into the store they just stare at me with no greeting until I was next to the checkout. Minus one star for that otherwise it was good they even ask if I want to see the bag and re package it for me afterwards. I had no intent to make a purchase that day. Really. No really! But it was blindingly hot outside and I spied the store and figured it was deliciously air conditioned. What the heck? I could visit my chocolate brown messenger, moon over it a bit while I cooled off, then go on my merry way in search of ice cream. However the salesperson was so delightful and lovely that I ended up falling under her charms! Then she says, "Let me show you what we have on sale." Out comes a beautiful brown satchel with double buckled straps on the front. "It's marked down 40%, and I'm happy to take off another 20% for you today." Well, now that I'd sucked down all their freshly air conditioned air, how could I say no? Ring me up! Of course I checked the website upon returning to my hotel, and the additional 20% was not offered. AND a week later the sale price increased by $110! Now that's service with a gorgeous smile! Products: wonderful quality, elegant style, recently a great collaboration with Acne Store: spacious and nice layout, large and comfortable sitting area in the back Sales Consultants: warm and welcoming, very helpful, professional and not pushy I had been looking for a small purse for a few months and had finally settled on the small Darley in oak, but wasn't quite sure it was the right brown as I was looking for a more of a camel color. When I walked in, Erica, Lionel, and the another sales consultant warmly welcomed me. When I asked to see the small Darley in oak, Erica showed it to me and could see the hesitation in my face. She kindly offered to show me the other colors (amber, oxblood, grey) and styles, but I asked to see it in black (and gold) as it fits much better with the colors in my wardrobe. While I was comparing the two, she offered me some still or sparkling water which was a very nice touch. I decided on it in black and as she went to get a new one from the back, I began looking at the sunglasses. I was very intrigued by the Claudia chain sunglasses in blue, and I asked Lionel if they were polarized (I'm in my 30s and try to take care of my skin). He quickly did some digging to find out which ones are, but the Claudia ones are not. Erica was then back with a new bag and took it out to let me see that everything was as expected before ringing me up and packing it up beautifully. After a month and half, I can say that I am beyond pleased with my purchase (I use it almost daily) and the service I received. So much so, that a couple of weeks ago I came back with a friend after I my sunglasses (unintentionally!) dropped down some rocks while hiking. Erica was on her break, and Lionel remembered me pretty quickly after I asked to see the small Lenny sunglasses. Unfortunately they were the last pair in the store, which I thought I could be okay with, but Lionel went above and beyond to find a new pair. As he checked in the back, he brought us (still and sparkling) water and we browsed the entire store. He checked the other stores but they weren't in stock, so he brilliantly ordered them for me online as their inventory is downstairs. It took maybe fifteen minutes for the order to go through and for him to pick it up, and in that time my friend received an important work call. After he showed me the new pair, repackaged them and rang me up, she was still on the phone. I asked if it was alright that she be on the phone in the sitting area (she was being quiet) and he said for us to take as much time as needed. In that time Erica was back from her break and remembered me also (seriously, they are all so kind and nice. I didn't interact with the other consultant as I'm assuming she wanted to be ready in case other folks walked in, but she also smiled to greet me both times and was busy with other clients the second time). I continued to look around (dangerous haha), and found a few other items to think about for the future. Lionel answered all of my questioned for colors and styles, and he also asked me a few questions to better understand my style and preferences for when new items come in. He even sent me an email the following week to check in about my sunglasses and to reach out if I have any questions or concerns--amazing! Not everyone is carrying a Mulberry bag which I like. I like my own style. Everything is extremely well made and top quality and they even have men's accessories like briefcases. I work at 134 Spring Street at a tech company called AirHelp. Today I went outside with my coworkers to have lunch on the fire escape and enjoy the unseasonable February warmth. Once the appropriate soundtrack was selected on my phone, I accidentally dropped the phone through the grates. My iPhone tumbled six floors and smashed into the drainage pipe with a loud "doooonk!!" that echoed through the Soho alley like a gunshot. After my coworkers chastised my incompetence, I went downstairs to the Mulberry store, a retail establishment that I would not typically patronize, and asked for assistance. The staff were friendly and helpful and didn't judge me with my odd request, while also making sure their other customers were taken care of first. I followed them down to the basement, where they allowed me to step out of their employee break room window and into the alley. Behold, my phone was resting gently in the cold mud, still streaming "Lovely Day" by Bill Withers. It was a miracle. The phone was damaged, but not destroyed. Most importantly, though, I now have an amazing customer service experience to share, and I didn't even buy anything. Nor do I actually know what the store sells. I think women's shoes. The Soho store is almost like a dream and the sales never annoyed me. I do not like being followed every single inches/feet. When the sales do that, I like to leave the store fast ;)) This location definitely has a lot of styles to choose for. Just like Chanel in Soho is more funky than the rest of Chanel stores in NYC. The Spring Street Mulberry store is by far the best Mulberry in NYC! I highly recommend this location. They always have all merchandise in stock.
