This location is the oldest Hermes store. The ultimate destination for luxurious bags, accessories, houseware and furniture. Customer service is impeccable as you are greeted by security at the door. I had the best experience at this location. I went in because I recently made a purchase at the Miami location and unfortunately was sent home with the wrong item. I was greeted warmly by Brian and he quickly worked to resolve my exchange. He was attentive and kind, his manager came out to approve the exchange and was also very sweet. I can't say enough good things about the Hermes on Broad Street . I highly recommend it and travel down to shop at this location even though I live near the Madison Avenue boutique -which I find to be hectic and crowded. I also enjoy shopping in Paris. In contrast, the Broad St location is calmer, beautifully curated and has lovely associates - my favorite being Janette who has been a pleasure. I have never felt rushed or felt pressured to buy- and I have so far been pleasantly surprised with wonderful follow up from Janette whenever items that I wanted and were not in the store - have come back in. I am lucky to have found her on my Hermes journey and look forward to add to my collection with some special items. read more

This Hermes location has a pretty wide selection, much better than the selection at the Hermes in Brookfield Place nearby. I had gone to Brookfield asking for a classic Kelly wallet and was told that they did not stock any SLGs. They told me to check the Wall Street location (which is really on Broad Street) and I called them asking for it. Brian (Bryan?) picked up the phone and told me they had it in the color I wanted, so I walked over to take a look. When I got there, it was completely empty and I was the only customer there, so I was helped immediately. I didn't end up making a purchase that day but he was really nice about it and not pushy at all. My only criticism is that the outermost door is ridiculously heavy. read more

Again, this store is a complete waste. I dropped off my bracelet in April and they estimated that would be finished May 31 or a bit longer. No reply by late July so I emailed them to ask it's status. No reply. I emailed again, no reply again. I called August 3 and they said it would be up to 6 months. I said, they why don't you tell us that, and why don't you even reply to emails? I asked her to have the manager call me back to see where it was. 5 mins later she called me back to tell me my piece was in Paris. 50/50 chance the manager didn't even know I called. I have seen Hermes displays in some of the international airports and always wanted to check out one of their permanent locations. Their boutique across from the NYSE turned to stock a wide array of merch that I wasn't aware Hermes even makes: from watches, suits, pens, to even china sets and silverware. I was interested in a new tie of which Nissa was fantastic in helping me pick from the finest Hermes had to offer. She even provided a few cologne samples of the bottles I was looking at. Store manager Brianna was useless. Spending $400 on a few ties, decided I wanted to get a refund few days later and been told, "You know the store's returns policy. There's only exchanged or store credit." She thinks I work for Hermes and needs to know their company's policy. First of, My ties were sealed in Hermes' ties wraps along with their tie box. If you care about your job, you will make sure customers get their money back for what they wished for. Jack took care of me before, and able to send me back my refund. But he's no longer in the company. I'm sure he's better of without the company's bullshi*ts. She sounds like she cares more about the sales than the customers. Before you walk in here, run back the other way. There's plenty of department stores around that provide better service. Even Apple or McD employees treat you better. read more

Wealth is relative. They do try to size you up here so i didn't appreciate that and will not return to the exact sales person that was trying to figure me out. If they get your contact info, they will follow up and try to woo you through email. Hermes has a lot of products. You should take the time to understand their history and pieces and not just buy anything because of the label. If you get to know the history behind some of their iconic pieces, you may appreciate the value and the investment. Not every sales person speaks French...I was surprised. Fe Luis is awesome - last time I visited, he very patiently let me go thru all the different Twillys, including pulling them out and unrolling them so I could see the whole pattern, front and back. Tried on a Lindy in red, when I inquired about the available shade of orange he went right back to get me one, even though it was already closing time. I returned a birthday gift for another since I didn't like the print on my scarf initially. As I arrived I was taken care of like a princess. The lady behind the counter (forgot her name ) was so helpful. She participated in finding the perfect color, pattern that goes with my skin tone/ hair/ eye color etc. She was in no rush and illustrated how to tie the scarf in many different ways. My daughters just went to the location on Broad Street today. My older daughter went there to purchase a purse for me. Although my daughter is 20 and is gainfully employed, she looks extremely young. Not one associate asked my girls if they needed help. When my daughter was unsure of which bag I had wanted, she snapped a picture to send me for my opinion. At that point an associate finally acknowledged her existence just to reprimand her for snapping a picture. I told my daughter to leave as I told her I did not want to purchase anything from a store who discriminates against consumers just because they appear to have no money. I was going to purchase a bag and found a blemish on the bag. The salesperson Brian pretended that was a normal thing but after I pointed it out he admitted that the blemish is not a normal thing. I had him check other stores and he said he couldn't find another bag with the same color in NYC in their system. I didn't want to pay $6k for a bag with artifact, so I called another store and found out that they did have that same exact bag - I ended up purchasing from them instead. So either Hermes inventory system was screwed up, or the salesperson was trying to make me buy the bag from him instead without the hassle of having to do a merchandize transfer. Just want to provide an update on my experience. I've shopped at the store on Madison, in Paris, Rome, and Florence. I always love coming back here. Olushola or "Olu" continues to be a great sales specialist that my wife and I now call a friend. I work in midtown about 8 blocks from their "flagship store" on Madison ave, but will not hesitate to take the subway down to Wall St. Only recommendation I have is for the store to provide a restroom for customers. Walking down to the local Starbucks isn't that big of a deal though ;) read more

As mentioned by the other reviewers, their service is outstanding. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. AND, the store is literally behind my apartment, however the BAD BAD thing is their hours. I think they are open either 9am-6pm or 10am-6pm Monday-Friday only, which sucks huge time because if I want to buy more Hermes, I need to continue working, and I am at work during those hours 99% of the time..LOL. So that's the only downside, I pass by the store almost everyday when I'm leaving/going home, and I love their windows display, but it sucks I can never go in because I'm never around those hours. This is my favorite Hermes store by far! I agree with all the other reviews-- the service here is fantastic. The first time I came here, I just popped in to browse and get away from the heat (NY summers and humidity do not agree with me). All the associates were attentive and were okay with me browsing. Fortunately for me, there were a belt I've been eyeing in stock and I had the pleasure of working with Aleksey. They didn't have the correct size but Aleksey said he will courier the belt to me (since I didn't want to come back all the way from UWS). There was some miscommunication and I received the wrong belt buckle but Aleksey was quick to resolve it. Communication with him via email and phone was smooth (I was out of the country so a little hard to get a hold of). Selection at this store may be smaller but it's counter balanced with amazing sales associates who are willing to try to track down what you want. I highly recommend this Hermes! read more

Exactly a week ago, I bought a Cape Cod women's watch at this location and literally 4 days later, my watch died. After exchanging calls, I just found out the SA (name: Feluis Cotto) actually did NOT know the watch was broken and he sold it to me without double checking although the watch had signs of low battery at the store (which I wasn't able to tell back then, but the SA should have been able to). He only apologized to me after I demanded an apology out of him. When I talked to him on the phone, I said "I think you owe me an apology" and he only said "I apologize" with NO FURTHER EXPLANATION. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed in their lack of knowledge, service and professionalism. I've been to multiple Hermes boutiques around the world (Paris, Seoul, LA, Tokyo, Toronto, etc...) and I've never experienced anything like this before. I DO NOT recommend this store. Tim could not have been more honest or attentive. Great experience all-around. I was happily surprised at the quality treatment which my boyfriend and I received while browsing this store. We both love Hermes and hope to be able to build our collections over the years so it was exciting to come to this store. The staff was warm and friendly, totally willing to chat with us even though it was clear that we probably wouldn't be making any big purchases. I actually encouraged my boyfriend to buy a tie simply because the staff was so great. On this trip we went to a number of shops that weren't on par with Hermes where we were disrespected so it was very nice to be treated so well here. I'm no high roller but I do love Hermes and am working on a scarf collection. Every time that I have walked into this store I have been greeted warmly by staff, despite not being a regular. They are always happy to show me things (caveat- I've never asked to see a bag) and answer questions, even when my questions are about the $3,000 riding helmet. They are very patient with me when I take ages to decide what I want to buy, and seem to really enjoy showing the merchandise and telling you about its history. I have dealt with several different salespeople here and they have all been great, unlike the Madison location which is really hit-or-miss and can be very frosty. I'll never step foot in this location again. I purchased a few things from here, fragrance and ties and the way I was treated was crazy. I purchased the fragrance and received some samples. While on travel, one sample broke and I came in to replace it and they way I was treated. They made me feel like I was doing something wrong. I almost walked out. A month later, still feeling aways, I called the store manager and spoke to her about the situation and she apologized and said that she would review the tape to see what she can discern.
