The flagship Tom Ford, New York boutique on Madison Avenue offers an exceptionally luxurious and intimate shopping experience that perfectly captures the brand's sleek, high-glamour aesthetic. Spanning multiple floors, the atmosphere is refined and polished, featuring dark wood, mirror accents, and plush seating designed for high-end personal service. That service, by the way, is impeccable. Fashion is elegant and when I'm treating myself, I go in for a dress shirt or pair of pants. I'm currently a Boss and Zegna guy, but one can hope. read more

Tom Ford has high end clothing and accessories. I love to visit this location on Madison Avenue. He also sells fragrances that are great to sample. I'm very fortunate to have a friend/family Yelper that sent me a small bottle of perfume. Coincidentally it was in my mailbox on Mother's Day. I wish Yelp had smell a vision. I'm going to enjoy wearing this next time I go out! I'm recommending Tom Ford high end goods! read more

Listen. It's very rare we leave a negative review, but today's the day. We have never experienced racism in a store, but our sales associate Chris, clearly had a bias and opinion. Exquisite designs and fabrics, but unprofessional, tacky, and frankly budget/outlet style staff. Certainly not worth spending the 20k on an outfit with him. Xx read more

Customer service sucks not friendly not inviting it feels like eating fast food after you leave kinda feel bad for buying it smh

Omg the man the icon for current fashion. I finally got to see and be like a kid in a candy store. I went specifically to buy his limited edition cologne, called f@cking fabulous. It was hella expensive ($350 for a 1ml bottle) as is everything with his name on it. I wish I could afford more of his stuff but just going to his store as awesome! BTW the cologne was epic. I usually don't like his fragrances but this one is great. read more

The employees at Tom ford were some of the most lovely sales associates I've ever met. The appointment system is much more hassle-free than I thought. Very accommodating and patient associates. Ill for sure be back. I don't know what I'm going to buy but I'm going to buy something lol. Michael at the beauty counter and their GM Davide are wonderful by the way! read more

As a HUGE fan of Tom Ford; I have a couple bags, wallets and underwear from him but this location was very disappointing. They act like they are on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles - they are not. The staff needs an etiquette session or five. The staff is very standoffish, not approachable / and WE are the customer spending OUR money and they do not care. Very sad. "Big mistake, HUGE!" read more

Came here to look at handbags and perfumes and the place was mostly empty. They mostly left me to my own devices, which was nice, but when I asked for samples of the perfumes I was told they didn't have sample vials which I think is kind of a requirement when you sell perfume. read more

Enjoy Tom Ford's line of products but my experience at the fragrance counter was horrific during both recent visits. Michael's service has been both uncomfortable and condescending. Received more helpful and much friendlier service down the block in Bloomingdale's at the TF fragrance counter. I will be giving them my business when I decide to make a purchase. read more

I went to the Madison Avenue NY Boutique get help with my Tom Ford bow ties I previously purchased in the London Boutique . I needed a tailor to fix them . With peasant attitude two male sale assistant told me it was not possible , they were not able to do it . Where I supposed to go and get customer care service for a Tom Ford product if not in a Tom Ford Boutique ? Worst service , un-necessary attitude. Good to know... I'll never buy TM products in the future . read more

I can only speak to the cosmetics department. The service is A+. The staff is super friendly. You are greeted like an old friend at the door and directed to the area of the store you are interested in. The people in the make-up department were lovely. Very helpful with good suggestions and minimal product push. I would definitely come back. read more

Tom Ford is literally one of my favorite designers (he owns smooth fox terriers) - I am pretty much obsessed with his purses and perfume lines. My husband bought me the Flap Over Zip Bag in brown a few years back; I literally cried from pure happiness. I absolutely love the oversized hardware and the zippers, and the purse itself smells deliciously of leather from the calfskin that it's made up of; very roomy and spacious. Made in Italy, the bag is pure quality and definitely will last a lifetime! Also, I am obsessed with the Neroli Portofino Eau de Parfum - the scent is simply intoxicating with a combination of citrus oils, floral notes, and amber undertones. Absolutely divine! I love the fact that they have a store in NYC, but you can also find his line at Neiman's and Bergdorf's. +Flap Over Zip Bag :D +Neroli Portofino Eau de Parfum :D read more

Overall, sub par experience. This is just being picky, but at a certain price point you come to expect close to perfection. The Madison Ave store doesn't seem to be aligned with the value proposition of TF, which is surprising considering how close the store is to the head office. The sales staff are nice enough, but there's a few things I noted: - Not enough sizes in stock for items - Slightly condescending staff, while some are excellent - Not offering water or refreshments - They've got a greeter and a security guard at the front. Over two visits to the store, the greeter never said hello, and on one visit the guard opened the door for me, on the other he just stood there. It's little service details that add to perception of the brand, and after visiting the NYC store, mine has definitely lowered. read more

I've been here several times since. Some of the staff may appear to be rude if they think you're tire-kicking, but I don't think any of them have a bad bone in their body. The new location is very posh, still feels brand new, but doesn't have that nice exterior like the last one. I can't comment on their size availability or selection because I haven't come in for clothing in a while, but their optical/sunglass lines + fragrance lines are everything you'd expect from TF. Same goes for the shoes and other accessories. I spent about 10 minutes trying on TF's new blue block line of glasses and was out the door with a pair that I loved. No wait or hassle or issue. They've come a long way since my last review. read more

Horrific customer service. If you want to be treated like garbage- come here. It was almost comical how judgmental and blatantly rude the gentleman who worked the beauty counter was; condescending, ignorant and rude. Lived in New York 15 years, and never been treated like this, from Hermès, to Uniqlo. Talk about judging - this staff needs a lesson in class. read more

WOW the customer service is a joke here. RUDE staff, who act like they don't work in a store but as if they own all the items there. It's comical. Customers are spending hundreds or thousands of dollars to be treated with condescendence. I will not be returning. I mean most of these reviews detail a similar experience. Tom Ford management should read through these reviews and hire new staff. Who wants to spend in a store that lacks in basic manners. New staff who are capable of working in sales and bring customers back instead of running business away should be hired. read more

JP is without question best person I've ever dealt with in any store / any brand. I love this location and the company.

I checked out the NY Tom Ford store today......and like the Las Vegas Store, I love to brouse, and drool over the beautiful suits, ties, jackets, shoes and sunglasses. Archie: True, but imagine how good I would look though. Girl: Ew. Dear Tommy i was disappointed with your museum of a store. or can we call it the temple/mausoleum of excess? come on Tommy, you quit gucci, go into hiding, leave us waiting with bated breath for the stroke of genius that surely must be in the works, and then you give us this overcooked foie gras of a men's store. why do you build me up, buttercup baby, just to let me down?? let's look at your history: gucci then: $exed up rich italian slash high class escort wear gucci now: bordering on prepster boredom you then: visionary, Gucci jesus, saving it from dusty italian label status and propelling it to the pinnacle of fashion. your sweet a$$ flaunting jeans with tux you now: opening a stodgy MAID and BUTLER filled men's store. still in your jeans and tux. Tom. do we really need the (extreme, even for the venerable mr Ford) excess? the glass everywhere making all the items untouchable? if i plan on spending many G's on a suit, i need to be able to touch it!! even my queen of excess personality says, TOO MUCH! the quality and fabrics are obviously impeccable, as they should be. this is top dollar merch. the store experience does not do justice for the product. the tom ford (for gucci) woman always embodied excess, money, and oozed $ex, why should the tom ford man hide behind glass like a stuffed dodo at the natural history museum? surely you don't think the boys that can afford your hefty prices are going to flock to your store to be frowned upon by the waitstaff? and i came dressed, and ready to impress in my chanel bag and shoe combo, decolletage bearing (in the spirit of the gucci Tom Ford years) black dress, proper blingage. i even sported a jacket from your last gucci collection. a tribute! the butlers clearly didn't know this, or didn't care. but then, who are they there to wait on? i'm happy you're back, Tom Tom, but I expected to be surprised, riveted, and drooling. unfortunately, all i can do is roll my eyes. risk: leaving whilst on the verge of a temper tantrum caused by obnoxious snootiness from store waitstaff reward: beautiful tailoring, fabrics. if you've got the cash, you can't go wrong with the product read more

Mr Ford.... There is no other name in fashion that has taken such an iconic label like Gucci out from the dumps and onto upper mainstream America as quickly and smoothly as he did. This is the reason I want to love his new flagship enterprise uptown. Want to is the key here... The clothing is as expected... beautifully crafted, delicious colors, and priced through the roof. The suits are amazing with lavish fabrics and stylish cuts - also priced accordingly... Then there is the shoes, cologne, sunglasses, eyeglasses and luggage for your new wardrobe. I clearly need to make more money so I can afford more of the merchandise. I will say that the glass of Makers o.t.r will persuade me to flex my plastic a little more than I should.... such is life. Holy crap are the employees here condescending as phuuckkk!! I came in to buy my bro a belt for his bday (and of course treat myself while I'm at it) and was asked what he measures, I told the guy I was waiting for his text response and he responded with "people usually know sizes before coming in"...hmmm, ok genius, then CLEARLY THIS ISN'T USUAL! Don't forget that your customers contribute to your paychecks...don't bite the hand that feeds you. Happily took my happy ass to Hermès for the gift...but did not treat myself there lol read more

During my recent visit to Tom Ford I had the opportunity to work with Crystal, who was outmost helpful by offering advice on sizing, fit, style, color and availability. She arranged for a fitting at home and scheduled alternation which was done timely and perfect. I am very grateful to Crystal for understanding what I was trying to accomplish, spending as much time as I needed to finally make a meaningful purchase. She was very resourceful, engaging, caring, pleasant and sincere. Having such a wonderful experience I would highly recommend Crystal as the best sales associate and I will never work with anyone else! With deepest gratitude! read more

Probably the coolest store I have ever been to, they spared no expense in building this store. The clothes are expensive but what do you expect on Madison Avenue in the Upper East Side. The only drawback is unless you are extremely skinny you cant really buy anything off the rack, but the saving grace is that they offer custom clothing. read more

HOLY SHIT they have a beaver rug! The store oozes male sexuality. The mirror-lined back parlor for colognes and perfumes is just one gem in this upper east side jewel box. The service is friendly and helpful and the clothes, the shoes and the bags... all of the merchandise is presented as a contemporary offering from Tom Ford, style expert for the modern man. Ford combines and discreetly uses the most luxurious fabrics, leathers, and scents. The result is a rarefied shopping experience. You can find something off the rack or take the stairs to the private second level. There, seated next to ancient bonsai, select your clothing made to measure. You have next to unlimited choices for collars, cuffs and fabrics to create the shirts, suits and shoes for you alone. Boring world, fear not, Tom Ford has the cure! read more

When I bought my Tom Ford suit here last year it was quite pricey for a RTW but I thought the cut was a killer so... whatever. But this 08 spring season I saw price tag on the collection at Neimans and went WTF. I don't know if Tom Ford is really serious about these so called serious men's clothing like he said or just dickin around with suits for half ass high fashion. I think I saw a shirt ... or was it thin-ass sweater this season for $1500? I mean really... for Zegna cloths? If the price is going to be so high, match the quality bro. Expecially the quality & the price on these summer jackets were also WTF. Who wears that shit more than a month you know? I heard new Bond film is gonna have Tom Ford suits in it. Or maybe Ive misread, but if so hopely the Fall one is gonna be better and cheaper. I don't live in NY so I can't be sure if it's still the same but couple of the workers in the boutique sucks. Very few knows stuff about suits but its one of them fashion knowledge, not the full canvas, construction... all that crap. If you are in doubt ask the in-house tailor. Hopely the guy has some dignity. The worker who helped me out was well mannered and smart but thats 'one' guy. WTF The Jacket sleeves are originally suppose to have 5 button holes by the design so if you're gonna do alternation else where, just something to think about. And if you don't live there [like me] They'll ship it to you with some really good packaging. [it ships hanging in the box.. how do i explain...] Im not sure about the bespoke suits they make but for that price [$5000+] you can even get Caraceni... so.... you know.... Don't get me wrong. The shop is well decorated and the clothes there are very nice. Just that the price is a bit more than one would wish to pay simply for the sake of 'design'. I'm sorry I just really hate rip offs. If youre really bored, get a custom-made socks from them with your name on'em. faster way to piss out money other than strip club read more

I am not one of customers who just wonder into the store, buy a perfume and then leave. I have 7 Tom Ford suits including 1 MTM and 1MTO, 3 leather shoes and many other accessories. I crave for Tom Ford. They indeed make the best suit. However Buying suit at TF NY store is less exciting as comparing with joy of wearing them. It sucks. It makes me almost want to switch to bergdorff's TF department. I bought 4 suits from the TY store. The first three experiences were an disaster. Unlike my beloved LA store and LV store, the service was extremely disappointing. The store was almost packed and some staffs were simply standing around, playing their phones, and staring at customers. One of the staff MTOed a suit for me, which turned out to be the one different from the one I was looking for. Since it was already tailored, I cannot return it. The tailors there was not great AT ALL. I would not trust my suit with them. And for that I am talking about "Signior" Igor. For the 3 suits I bought from here, I have to re-tailored at other stores( LV TF, LA TF, Bergdorff). Signer Igor apprentaly don't know how to do pants and appropriately taper the waist. My recent experience with TF NY store is getting better. I can see the improvement, but I have to say it is still way below the standard set at the LA and LV. Staffs here are so meaninglessly presumptuous and busily mouseying around like a hoard of flies, otherwise, they will just stand still and mentally moseying around. Where is the sense of exclusivity, the atmosphere of elegancy, the service of excellency. Mr. Ford, your NY TF store is quite a shame. read more

Never got the tracking number, no order confirmation email, no nothing. I had to make another call to Michael and request the tracking number which he did finally give to me. When I say this is the consummate shopping experience - needless to say, I mean it. This boutique on Madison Avenue is basically for the man who has everything. In 2007, when I first saw the coverage that Fashion-Television did with Jeanne Beker, I was intrigued. She walks through the store with Tom Ford himself guiding her and her entourage of cameramen. Models Noah Mills/Wilhelmina, Frederico Moyano/Public Image, and Andrija/Wilhelmina show off the F/W 2007-08 men's collection : a line of plush fur coats, dandy-esque houndstooth three piece suits [at $5,000 price-points], and high-polished Italian made accessories. The venue itself looks like a traditional English haberdashery oozing with phallic art-work cut in steel and gold. Fashion-Television's Jeanne Beker cannot take the smile off her face. In fact: it's permanent. I made my way up Madison past Prada, Bvlgari, etc. I ring the doorbell of the Tom Ford door and am greeted by a butler who offers me a beverage and takes my coat. Swank, I think. Samuele, a Tom Ford sales rep who should have his own reality show, greets me and shows me the entire Spring-Summer 2009 collection - which looked to me like a throw-back of the silhouette and color palette Tom used for his Spring-Summer 2004 ready-to-wear collection at YSL rive gauche homme. I am taken into the perfume vault located at the back of the store where a gentleman, who looks like he should be in a Ralph Lauren Purple Label ad campaign, offers me different swatches and explains to me in sickeningly thorough detail the different bouquets involved in each 'self-manufactured' fragrance. As a self-confessed Neroli Portofino and Black Orchid fan, it was nice to sample the other Ford creations. Tom has gone all out with this one, I think to myself. Samuele brings me around the corner to an accessories counter where I am shown an ram-horn cigar cutter, portfolios and wallets in crocodile and alligator, and ostrich-lined travelers' bags. PETA would love access to this place -- I'm sure of it. The fur-trimmed elevator, the butler, the gorgeous door-woman, the mirror-encased custom-made suits...Tom really has outdone himself. My experience at the boutique was top-notch. The representatives are professional, engaging, and receptive to the high-fashion consumer. Just don't go expecting sweat-pants and a t-shirt where jeans have a price-point of $790. U.S. Weekly calls the man 'delusional.' I call Tom Ford....genius.
