I really wanted to like this company. However when they replaced my hot water tank several months…read moreago, unbeknownst to me, to make the new, larger unit fit, the tech shortened my washer drain. In doing so, the washer drain isn't tall enough anymore to properly drain, and there is a deeply curved 'trap', (that wasn't there before), that causes the water to rush back up and out of the drain. I had asked the tech at the time about all the 'left over' PVC pipe pieces, but he'd assured me it was from the old tank- when in fact it was actually my working washer drain that he'd removed and replaced with a shorter pipe, with a very curved 'trap'. He did this in order to make the new tank easier to install, he failed to reassemble the drain properly after removing it to install the tank. The back of the washer/drain/hoses/etc. are all in a separate room than the front of the washer. It's accessed clear on the other side of the house through a tiny door next to the fridge in the kitchen. I've went in there once to change my furnace filter months ago. I noticed the concrete floor was a bit 'damp', so I put a damp-rid in the room and thought nothing more about it- bottom line, my washer has been draining into this small utility room and flooding for months! There is actually mold on one of the wall studs now! I'd noticed my new flooring warping near the furnace intake vent, but couldn't understand why. It's the only place in the house that my new flooring is warped, chipping. I know now it's from the water leaking under the furnace in the utility room and seeping under the laminate flooring! Am I stupid for not realizing this sooner- yes, I admit I am. Is Discount Drains responsible for their tech tampering with, and ruining my washer drain- yes, yes they are! They are also responsible for the mold that occurred and the small area of warped flooring as a result of their mistake. I have contacted them, and I was told they are sending someone out to, "dispute the mold." Not a very courteous response at all! If they repair/replace the washer drain so it functions properly as it did before they ruined it, and address the mold they caused as well as replacing the affected floor boards, I will remove this post, however if they refuse to repair the washer drain that their tech ruined, and clean/repair the mold, replace flooring, I will have no choice but to litigate for damages and will continue to strongly suggest not doing business with this company! I trusted them to do the job right, and instead they caused damage to my home with their incompetence! I'm super disappointed both in their workmanship and response to my issue!

We also hired them to run a new water line to put an outdoor hose in another location of our house. While it may seem odd to have a FaceTime quote, the process isn't that much different than someone who comes to your house and does a surface level check only to find out when they begin the work that things are more complicated than they seem. The good news about the process is that it helps expedite the process so our jobs were completed much more quickly than quotes from other companies (I.e. by the time the person schedules to come look, prepare a quote, and then schedule the project installation much more time has passed). Everyone we worked with was friendly, efficient, and professional. The bonus for us is that our second project was actually cheaper than they quoted because they found a much easier solution when they got behind the wall to see what had been covered up by previous owners. I would absolutely hire them in the future.

So plumber couldnt get the machine needed to dig for drain pipes, snd we found that up as he ripped up that part of lawn trying to get it through, so he dug by hand. In ripping up the grass/soil he damage our sprinkling systems we've had for over 15 years, we replaced that. I was uncomfortable about contacting these plumbers about this. Anyway this evolved, we had to get a restoration company to take care of potential mode along with damaged wallboard and wood. Between lost time and urgency, I needed to phone a professional. Drainmaster's reviews and location convinced me they were the best for this job. Additionally, 'drain' is in their name. I couldn't go wrong. Calling them around 2 pm, I fully expected them to come the next day or even two days out, preparing to spend fully $$$ on rental, cleaning, and fast food for the family. To my surprise, the scheduler was very kind and personable. She mentioned they were full for that day, but due to my near-shop location, they may be able to work me in. Sure enough, I received a call around 1600 with the drain professional (female!) about 19 minutes out. She arrived with her assistant (strong lad), and they began the work. I offered them shoe covers, but they had their own (I would have preferred they use my clean covers). After snaking for about half an hour, checking the drain length to the main stack, and confirming the flow with a leak test, they pronounced it clean, with a friendly smile. It was also good to see the workers getting along and working efficiently. It's not always the case with coworkers. I tested it myself once they left. Sure enough, it's clean! Final cost $280. Satisfied and happy customer here. If I have another issue like this, I will be sure to call.

Woods Plumbing Company. My husband, Greg, phoned them this morning and even though they said they were quite busy, they would work to fit us in tomorrow morning. But then my husband received a call and was told the plumber, Bill H. was on his way to our home. Bill fixed the issue within a short period of time and the leak stopped. Of course I ran to the Liquide Plumber Max strength-Hey, strike two you are not supposed to do that either. Also the fumes will make your life miserable. I was SO afraid to call a plumber, I had NO idea what it might cost. I read great reviews about Foust and decided to give them a try. Meredith, who answered the phone was so incredibly nice. She worked with me to try to get someone out ASAP. Christopher arrived around 7:45pm. He was so nice, professional and took great care in making sure that my hardwood floor was protected from his tool and water. Well, the clog was a BIG ONE. But after about 1 1/2 hours of working on the sink SUCCESS!!! After he took his tools to the truck he came in to make sure that the sink and surrounding area was perfectly clean and even put my throw rug in place. I appreciated his friendliness, professionalism and attention to detail. And the best part! The price! I was so nervous to ask what I owed and was so relieved when I saw the bill.
