Old Style Sausage Rocks!…read more The sausage God's have blessed the small town of Louisville, CO... I kid you not! How in the world can you get house-made polish sausage in the middle of freakin Colorado? I like to make the food of my grandfather, slovak cabbage rolls and kielbasi. Lo and behold, I find Old Style and they custom make my order! Not only that, but they do italian, andouille, all kinds of stuff. Here's the deal. Call them, talk to Mike or Scott (the friendliest guys in the world... if you like sausage they will talk about the process with a deep knowledge and affection... they rock), then make a custom order and pick up soon after! That's right, you custom order it. Bam! Forget major grocery stores, go with the house-made local brand from the guys who have been doing it for 35 years. I bought 8 pounds and it literally was some of the best stuff I've had in ages. Old Style is a god-send. I might even go today because I am getting hungry just talking about it!

You do not have to be a CSA member to get food from Aspen Moon. Their food stand is open Tuesday through Friday. They also sell their food at the Longmont and Boulder farmer's markets. They carry delicious vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, squash, carrots, beets, lettuce mix which is better than any I have had at the grocery store and it lasts so much longer, herbs, flowers + much more. Falafayette is a solid, middle-of-the-road Eastern food truck serving good, comfortable takeout…read more Nothing extraordinary but satisfying and dependable. I've ordered and picked up food several times over the past two weeks, both for myself and with my daughter (I haven't eaten at the truck itself). The sandwiches are clearly the highlight of the menu--fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully assembled. They are well made and worth ordering again. The bowls, however, don't rise to the same level. They tend to be somewhat bland and less memorable, lacking the flavor punch you expect from this cuisine. Pricing is where things become questionable. Some items simply don't feel properly priced. Charging $3.00 for a single piece of pita is hard to justify. There's an old Irish saying: "Good food and plenty of it keeps the heart warm." And in the spirit of good Cajun hospitality, great food should always be served with the customer in mind. Right now, Falafayette feels good but not generous, not exceptional. Is it a great value worth making a special trip? No, not at this time. For the time being I am will look elsewhere for good Mediterranean food. The concept has real potential and could be great, but right now it's average. With bolder flavor, better balance in pricing, and a stronger focus on value for the customer, it could easily move up a level.

The chili had a bite to it and I asked if he could make me a Burrito with no chili. He said that he loves to do special orders. He has done parties for Low-Rider magazine and does many weddings, office parties, lunch boxes, birthday parties and all at a reasonable price of 10$ per person. I still can't get over how good they were with lots of chunks of pork and hot. No Burrito has tasted better and for 3 dollars you can't beat a lunch like that for a reasonable price. I love that you can call and it comes right to you fresh and hot. Awesome New Mexican Food.
