This is probably something that goes more to the corporate level. I just picked up a generic prescription from the pharmacy. When I looked up the manufacturer it happened to be WORST generic manufacturer of this medication out there. Thousands of users have complained to the FDA about poor results and the awful side effects. Yet King Soopers forces it's customers to use this medication in an effort to save a few bucks. I think it's gross. The actual pharmacy is wonderful and they have nothing to do with this, but I think upper management should make an effort to give a crap about the health of their customers. read more

If you can avoid this place I highly recommend you do. I'll be going to Safeway up the road though I will pay more but it's worth it to avoid the big headache here. I tend to come on Sundays and each and every time you would think the produce section was raided due to vegetables being given away for free. But no that's not it at all. They were stocking the produce at 2pm !!! Why are they stocking in the middle of the day while people are shopping. They don't complete a section they were working in when they had the produce right there in their face to do so. This place is sad and please avoid it if you can. They do not deserve our money. If they ever go on strike take the signs from their hands and start your own protest. I'm finally fed up going here and btw I have to drive over hour to get groceries. There is absolutely no excuse to be stocking during the day. Get your lazy employees up at work at 5:00am. Yes AM to do the job. No one should have to move carts to get to the items they need. King Soopers has the best prices in the area. Their pickup service is so well organized, I seldom get substitutions. The shopping is done quickly and always ready on time for me to pull in and pick up. The app on my phone handles all the communications very easily. Very friendly employees bring everything out to the car and load it up carefully and efficiently. I'm disabled and couldn't live without it. read more

Although I know no one in management at King Soopers will respond or even acknowledge this review, I'm writing it in solidarity with the other shoppers who are sick and tired of the ridiculous self checkout (aka the ONLY) option at this store. It's 8:30pm and once again, 3 people work here. Oh wait, I just scanned and bagged my own groceries so essentially I work here, too. And pay to do so! The one lady monitoring all of us self checkers actually told me I could use the handheld scanner instead of picking up and scanning each item. Well, as a de facto employee, I guess I should know that. Please fire me! Also adding to this marvelous experience, NONE of the digital coupons scanned, AGAIN. And the king soopers app didn't work. They never do. So I paid $5 more for each soda 12 pack. Again, I lose at King Soopers. I hope the shareholders are enjoying all the extra money they are lining their pockets with by not hiring actual live human beings to work at this store. It's so infuriating and gross. read more

I went to the pharmacy today looking for castor oil as a natural laxative. I couldn't find it, so I asked the pharmacy staff, the guy looked me in the eye and said that castor oil was a "natural remedy" and that that particular kings soopers wasn't carrying "natural remedies" anymore because they were losing money. He said people were buying less medications in favor of the "natural remedies", so they stop carrying them. So instead of taking something that has little to no negative effects, let's get rid of that and encourage people to take more chemicals. That's despicable. read more

Pharmacy: Like waiting at the DMV. Slow, inefficient, and rude. Always screws up my insurance regardless of how many times they put it into their computer. Regardless of the day/time you have to wait 20+ min next to the smelly bathrooms for a refill you called in days before. Will be going elsewhere as this is unnecessarily painful every damn month and the only reason I came here was because of the walk up window which is now closed. read more

Absolutely terrible experience!!! I haven't been shopping at KS for quite some time and now I remember why. After shopping for 2+ hours on Friday (4/19) afternoon I get to the checkout and there is ONE open register (person) and 20+ people trying to get through the self-checkout. I begin to scan my items at a conveyor station. THIS THING!!! First of all, why do I need my groceries sent 8 feet away from me when there is no one to bag them there?? I need to nag my groceries as I scan them. There are 7 people in line behind me. It makes no sense but the conveyor also reversed and smashes any bags or groceries left on the belt. Also, I needed the attendant to come over every 4th item because of the machine locking up. When I about 3/4 done scanning, the machine seizes up entirely. At this point, I WAS DONE!!! I asked for a Manager several times (apparently no Managers exist at this location) I was moved to a closed lane to get my remaining 5-7 items scanned and I waited and waited and I literally couldn't get ANYONE TO TAKE MY MONEY!!! I ended up emptying my bags and totes and leaving empty handed. Do you think I WANTED to leave without my groceries??? Of course not!!! But that's 2+ hours of my life, I'll never get back and who knows how long the disinterested staff would have wasted my time?? They were apathetic and best. There was no sense of urgency or regard for customer satisfaction. No one ever even acknowledged me in any way or gave a damn about the my frustration with the entire situation. Is this what KS considers good Customer Service?? Because, as the customer, I DO NOT consider this customer service AT ALL. Because I never received any customer service! It only became a problem for the snotty Customer Service lady after I was FEED UP AND DONE!! Then, I was the jerk, according to her. Honestly, SHE SHOULD have been apologizing for the inconvenience and wasting my time...instead, she told me not to come back!! 'You don't have to worry about that, lady!!' There is a choice when it comes to where my Grocery dollars are spent and I don't need to spend hundreds of dollars to be treated like a POS. I can't imagine that I would put myself through this experience again, anytime soon. Isn't this a multi-BILLION dollar industry??? Can't you afford to have more HUMAN cashiers??? There were exactly 3 people (self-checkout attendee, the one Cashier, and the snotty/rude customer service woman) on a Friday afternoon, before a storm. Are you new here?? I'm giving this in particular store 2 stars because I do prefer their prices and selection in the area otherwise it'd be one. I was just there today, and there was a kid stocking the produce section and had an isle blocked off. Which is fine for us that can walk around him. There was an elderly man in a driving cart waiting to get through. There were no "ifs" about what this poor old man was trying to do. He couldn't back up, and I really don't think he could talk from the looks of it. I see the kid stocking the fridge, then look back at the old man, turned around and kept stocking, then turned around and looked at the man, etc. This went on a few times. So I said, "I know he can see you waiting here," loudly enough for him to hear. STILL, this kid ignored me and the old man. I get pretty defensive when it comes to our elderly so I went up and said, "Since you aren't going to move this for this man, I will." So I grabbed the big cart and started moving it. The kid got all defensive and said, "You are not allowed to touch this!" I'm laughing even while I typing this. Look....his parent(s) obviously failed him....maybe there's a bigger picture.... not sure. BUT....now it's on you, Kingsoopers. You need to teach this boy respect! Especially how to treat his elders, let alone customers in general. I'm a 'younger' mom of 3, and this whole situation still, 3 hours later, has me steaming. read more

By the time they answered the Thurs call I was literally standing in the pharmacy. I was told 10-15 minutes. After 20 minutes, I was told 20 more. I won't be going back. Had a 3:15 appt, it's 3:35 and I havent even made it to the counter. Tech girl is slowwwwwwwwwwwww and they put everyone in one line. This King Soopers is poorly managed evidently because it is not taking COVID19 seriously. I shopped there the other day at about 6:15 AM and was truly disgusted. The cashier had her mask falling below her nose and numerous stockers purposely had their mask down below their mouth. The cashier was talking about 1 foot away from a customer who did not have a mask on. Don't come here if you're in a van or RV! We were passing through in our 18.5 foot campervan after a VERY long week at Outdoor Retailer in Denver (on our way to aspen) and all we wanted was some ice cream and a chill before we continued on our way. We were eating our ice cream and watching some Hulu and either the manager called the police or they just showed up. 2 cars arrive and they started shining their flashlights around. They told us we were being suspicious and asked for ids. We explained the situation and offered to show them our ice cream receipt. They took our ids, came back and...told us we could stay. Mind you, we've been in the lot for a total of less than 45 minutes (I know because we only got through 36 minutes of our show while eating our cream treat). There aren't any signs here against parking or even parking overnight... So moral of the story is don't eat your food in your car here. NOT rv friendly. NOT out of town friendly (CA plates). Only reason you're getting 2 stars is because the ice cream was delicious and a good deal. read more

The pharmacy has always provided reasonable service with some wait time and help available at the walk-up window if you are in a hurry or not feeling well. Now that they have decided to provide COVID vaccinations without increasing or even maintaining a proper level of staff, the waiting for a prescription is completely unacceptable, The lines are very long and they are inside only now without adequate space for proper distancing and with no seating available. Providing prescriptions in a timely manner is just too important to let service become this poor. It is also nearly impossible to get them to answer the phone...I waited nearly a half hour this morning. read more

They have a large selection and almost always have what I want, but this place is so busy, its crazy. Parking is awful and its a pain to drive through the lot in a truck. There's also a family who begs in front of it and its unfortunate because you can tell they're taking advantage of their son. I wish the store would do something about that. read more

Tried to fill a prescription here, and was told it would take 20 minutes. Came back and hour and a half later and was told it would take 20 minutes. 2 minutes later I got an automated text saying the script was ready. The pharmacy clerk then told me it wasn't ready. I called and asked my doctor to call it into a different pharmacy, then called King Soopers to ask them to cancel the script, saying I was going elsewhere. Clerk said "sure! We can do that for you." And then hung up. I hadn't even told her my name or any information about the script I wanted to cancel. It's probably still there. Really frustrating. read more

Can be really busy at certain times of the day, even more so certain times of year. But staff is always friendly and helpful. Have everything you need. Nice, clean, newer store. Has different little things inside as well, Chinese Food, starbucks, bank, western union, etc. read more

THIS PHARMACY IS AWFUL. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. 95% of the time I have to go in there I encounter extremely rude and unpleasant staff. My prescriptions are never ready when they tell me they are. I turned in a prescription and they told me to walk around for 20 minutes so when 20 minutes was up they decided to tell me they don't even have this prescription in stock. They had to call my doctor to get a DEA number and I got verbal confirmation from the pharmacist and my doctor that she gave them the number so they could fill my prescription. I call this morning to see when I can pick it up and they claim they never spoke to my doctor!!!! The lady on the phone told me I was being dishonest and they won't fill my prescription for me. That's when I hung up. Move your business elsewhere if you can. Terrible terrible customer service read more

This KS treats their employees well and it shows. Like Safeway, they hire a lot of disabled and folks who can't afford to retire. But not at the expense of long lines. From the produce manager to the meat department and anything that is just expired they make sure to let little go to waste. There are always at least three ways to help the hungry. And if you can't find something like Turkey Stock, or a type of fish, they'll order it for you! However, the pharmacy often hires rude people, who don't handle the nightmare of understaffing. My family and I have Covid and they won't allow any delivery service! We can't drive to get tested and get groceries with much needed Mucinex. It's ridiculous. They have also been closing service from the outside window. Tried for 3 days to sign up for delivery and now I'm supposed to call them because something's not right about my KS card. I'm too hoarse to call. read more

After returning to the Conifer store three times to purchase an item featured in the weekly ad, the new manager offered to order a case of the product 'gratis'. Weeks later I called him to inquire on the product since I had not heard from him as promised. He told me Denver no longer carries the product. He offered no substitution nor did he apologize for dropping the ball. I will shop Safeway or a King Soopers 'down the hill' from now on! read more

The pharmacy is a joke! Every time I go pick up a prescription it's NEVER ready... they say it'll be ready in a 1/2 hour.. nope. More like 2 hours. Last time I went I stood at the window for 15 minutes before someone yelled it didn't work.... don't you think you should write a note on the window stating that?.... so someone doesn't stand there for 15 minutes!!! Going inside you wait for around an hour... and the older orangish/blonde hair lady I have a huge problem with. She is the rudest person. Go take your prescription somewhere else to get filled. I've been a loyal King Soopers Customer for almost 30 years. From when I lived in Denver, to moving to Conifer in the late 90ies, I got my groceries on the way up when there was only Safeway here, and once they opened up here I always went there. Over the years there were negatives, from religious intolerance to just lousy service at increasing frequency, but I hung in there. But I am officially done. It is one thing to make people scan their own groceries and put away their own carts, basically making customers do the work that is taking people's jobs away so King Soopers can make more money (not like they're giving you a discount for the customer doing the job the store should do). In all honesty they are not the only story sporting this bad behavior, but the final straw was when I picked up a couple of things the other night on the way home and had to stand in line for an excessively long wait because they ELIIMMINATED THE EXPRESS LANES!!! And NO, self scan is NOT an alternative to an express lane. With all the choices including having groceries sent to my home, that really is an interesting move. Between Amazon sending groceries to my home and the great organic prices at Trader Joe's and Natural Grocers, it's not like this is a loss for me. Oh, and the fuel points - what a joke. There are at least 2 gas stations in Conifer where I can get gas for less than what their fuel points save me at the inflated prices they're sending people to for those useless points. So there you have it - the first bad review I have written, but they did earn it. read more

Not a fan of this location. So discouraged that it's either King's or Safeway up here. King's prices are decent. This store is a jumble to find things. Even after their recent construction of the floors. The layout doesn't make a lot of sense. Food and produce is hit or miss on freshness. I can deal with that though. It's the staff. Classless, rude, definition of "unprofessional". But if you come in late, even though it is a 24 hr store, they make you go through self check-out? even when we had a full cart....It took 20 minutes to check out with that sysem. When on checker opened up her register to ring us up (which was a God sent) the bagger criticized her as he packed up our groceries in front of us. We felt like an inconvenience bringing them business. And the checkers shout over the customers with there own conversations about parties and school, etc. It's like you are invisible. The produce stalkers have potty mouths. Cursing B* and F* bombs everywhere over a trivial matters over who is not invited to parties, etc. I know a lot of the younger people get work here for after school and weekends, but a good work environment would not just benefit them...I would not dread having to get my groceries from them when I go in. It's a mountain store. Of course the entry will not always look as pristine as an urban store. Can't say enough about Reggie in the bakery department. Called at 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon to order a birthday cake to pick up the same evening. She made a beautiful and tasty cake even though it was last minute. Friendly service with a smile like most of the employees there. Our local King Soopers needs more Yelp support from the community. C'mon folks! read more

I feel compelled to write a review after my visit today. Each time I'm in the store during the day, this being the 4th time in the last few months I've witnessed the manager (a middle aged woman) barking orders to the clerks and telling them what they've done wrong in front of guests. Not only is it degrading for the clerks but it's embarrassing to overhear it as well. A proper manager would take the employees and talk to them in private, not ever in the front of the store where others can hear. I'm giving 2 stars because the clerks are extremely nice and caring, thus overriding the one star which I would give the manager on duty. read more

Attention to the seafood department manager, or GM. I just left your store and have never felt so compelled to write a review - good or bad - in my life. Justin, who was behind your seafood counter this evening was one of the rudest employees I have ever encountered in any establishment. He came from the back room without a "hello" "how are you" "how can I help you?" or "what can I get for you" NOTHING. He had a blank face and just stared at me until I told him what I wanted. I asked for a pound of fish. He grabbed some fish and threw it on the scale. Usually, when I visit the seafood counter, if the weight is a bit over the clerk asks if it's okay. And it always is for me. Justin did not even ask or look me in the eye for confirmation. Granted it was only 1.13lbs; however I also found that to be extremely rude for him to just wrap it up without asking. Then he handed it over the counter, still with the expressionless blank face, and NO VERBAL COMMUNICATION and walked away. REALLY? I know King Soopers does better with customer service than this, I have been coming to this location for years. Please observe and evaluate Justin, he is not good for your company. Maybe he was upset for working during the first Broncos game of the season?? Who knows. I gave you two stars because I like your store and location, usually.
