This was my first time going to this restaurant. I've heard mixed reviews about this place but nonetheless wanted to give the restaurant a shot. I ordered the Butter Chicken with a garlic naan bread, and both were very tasty. It also came with rice which was also just as great. The cashier was very nice and respectful. The mango lassi I got was room temperature, but still fine. The naan kabob roll sounded new and interesting- it mentioned it's filled with three different sauces, but the three sauces seem to just be mayonnaise, ketchup and a hot sauce. The naan bread part of the sandwich is fine but the meat part is really bad... it could be the meat quality is bad or whatever spices or ingredients are added to the meat. I had to throw out my sandwich after two bites. I also think the sandwich would be better if they only used the green chutney sauce or white tzatziki or other white sauce commonly found at kabob restaurants... the mayonnaise and ketchup don't go well with the kabob roll, and the meat seems to have its own spices so the hot sauce is not needed. read more

I came in here recently for a late lunch/early dinner. I got chicken biryani ($11.99), some naan, and a mango lassi. As I recall, the total came to about $20. The servings were very generous, so I took the leftovers home for a second meal later. The biryani was excellent with the basmati rice. All of the ingredients were fresh and tasty. Today, on June 18, 2022, I had the opportunity to eat at the establishment of Mughal's Oasis, Brookfield Plaza, Springfield, VA. The server was very polite, open, friendly and engaged us in conversation. When discussion came to food specifically Chicken Biryani, she said it is prepared fresh. I placed my order for one person. When I was served, I tasted it with a spoon. It was very dry as if it was a day or two day old. It was very dry. When I tasted the chicken it gave me a bad taste in my mouth. It was spoiled chicken. I was the only customer in the restaurant. There was no rush. The Cooks could have pleased me easily by preparing a fresh Biryani with fresh chicken. I separated the chicken from rice. I ordered on phone at 9 pm yesterday (04/20/2023) Saba the woman there attended the phone and told me to pick up the food after 1 hour and 30 minutes as they are very busy. When I went to pick up my food I was told by another lady named Sonia that they didn't make it as they forgot to prepare it and now their kitchen is closed. I was shocked and disappointed by this unprofessional attitude as they could have said that they can provide me with something else as they didn't call and wasted my time. It's a small diner, not much seating but amazing food. But it's located in the plaza with so many other Pakistani/indian groceries, clothing and restaurants. Taka tak tawa beef keema with naan was the best, perfect spice. Shami kabobs are not spicy at all so they are perfect for kids, or those who can't handle much spice. I have giving 4 starts because the shami kabobs were served very cold. I m sure they would've tasted so much better if they were warm. And prices are reasonable. They already have the dine in service charges added to the bill, so no need to tip unless you really want to. You will have to grab your own plates and forks from the counter, they bring the food to the table. After the lunch we grabbed sweets from Nirala and I also checked the boutique next door. read more

Probably the worst service I've received at a restaurant in a long time. I've been their customer for several years but enough is enough. They always forget to enter your order so you have to wait at their tiny place with loud people. The food is either over cooked or under cooked. Also they treat some people as royalties and prioritize them over other client who have been waiting patiently. I've had enough of this place and definitely won't return. I'm a cardiac patient. I used to order Chicken Shami kebob to be fried with less oil and white yolk. Today I placed an order of 1 dozen Shami kebobs and told the cook that no yellow When I got the order It was all yellow yolk. I complained and the cook lied and said its white. When I called the owner his excuse was that the Spanish lady used yellow yolk as they ran out of White yolk. WHAT ? My order was only to be made with White yolk. Why would you let her make into yellow yolk. Owner lied too. It was all done by the cook. Since when the Spanish cleaning lady cooks delicate Shami kebobs. The owner wants me to drive one hour back so he can make new one with white yolk. Yea Right. I have lost trust I can't ever go back. Cook is angry. We stumbled upon this delightful restaurant and it is destined to be one of our favorites. All the dishes were rich and flavorful. Loved the Samosa Chat, and the Tandoori chicken was terrific. These guys need to get their act together. We went to buy some shahi kulfi from this place on 3/11/2017 and spotted a mouse right at the payment counter where they placed food and ingredients for making pan. We went here for the first time. The pure cane juice was excellent. Samosas were excellent. Wasn't too fond of the Aloo Tikki's or Mango Lassi. The papri chaat was also nice. Service was great. Only recommend to avoid placing hot food items on Styrofoam plates or just avoid Styrofoam plates altogether and stick with paper plates. read more
