It's a small diner, not much seating but amazing food. But it's located in the plaza with so many other Pakistani/indian groceries, clothing and restaurants. Taka tak tawa beef keema with naan was the best, perfect spice. Shami kabobs are not spicy at all so they are perfect for kids, or those who can't handle much spice. I have giving 4 starts because the shami kabobs were served very cold. I m sure they would've tasted so much better if they were warm. And prices are reasonable. They already have the dine in service charges added to the bill, so no need to tip unless you really want to. You will have to grab your own plates and forks from the counter, they bring the food to the table. After the lunch we grabbed sweets from Nirala and I also checked the boutique next door.

Average bryani. Looked stale. Qeema naan was better. Wait time was also 25 minutes. Bryani had no chicken pieces mostly bones

We were honestly upset that we had already eaten elsewhere, because they serve exactly the kind of food we as Guyanese people enjoy too. We ended up trying a bunch of fudges, and they had a wide variety of them, along with jalebi. The service was very nice, and we bonded over simple meals and shared culture. While I didn't get to try the actual hot food this time, everything looked great and I definitely wanted to. I'm definitely going to make my way back the next time I'm in Virginia. Pretty much this whole outlet area has a strong South Asian presence, and now we want to explore more of it thanks to this restaurant.

During iftar, the restaurant was lively yet well-organized, and the staff handled the crowd beautifully. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The buffet had a wide variety of authentic dishes that tasted homemade and full of flavor. What impressed me most was the quality and freshness despite it being a buffet. Often buffets can feel rushed or inconsistent, but here, every dish maintained its flavor and presentation. I will absolutely be coming back.

It was a Friday night and we called in advance to see if there would be tables. Came in and goodness, the waiter or whoever working, it was tall guy with glasses, was very rude. Not welcoming at all. It wasn't where they came to you and take your order but we had to go to the register and place the other and that's fine. My family and I were situating what we wanted and my brother went to place the order. The same tall guy with glasses took our order. After my brother finished giving the order, my brother asked if the order can be repeated to be sure he didn't miss anything. As the waiter was repeating it, my brother didn't hear one item and asked if he could repeat it again. The waiter looked so annoyed and told my brother he needs to start hearing better... my brother addressing him respectful and told the waiter to relax and they both could have a respectful interaction. We were ordering almost $300 of food so if $300 was nothing to them, we could've taken our money elsewhere and had a good time. However my parents don't eat anything but Desi hence we let it go. The food started to come out. Food looked amazing and enjoyed every bit of it, even ordered for take out. I think another thing they could work out is stop feeding customers in foam papers. The plates are so flimsy and broke on me once. The inside of the restaurant was a nice place. Definitely shows their country and heritage. After we finished eating and it was time to pay, a sweet lady at the register was helping my brother out but because there was a couple of tables with the same name, she got confused about our order. And my brother was trying to repeat the items we ordered. Then the tall guy stepped in, more attitude and rudeness. I love the food. But I would never want to sit there and be serviced in person. I rather do takeout and avoid that rude man. Other than that their food is great. Do try!!

Marib is a Yemeni restaurant located in a strip of restaurants and grocery stores originating from different parts of the world. Marib knows how to do their lambs. This was my first experience at a Yemeni restaurant, and it turned out to be an incredibly pleasant and flavorful introduction. We were served half a lamb, head included, laid beautifully on a large platter of rice. But first, the restaurant itself. It was refreshing to see a place that uses real cutlery, proper plates, and actual tablecloths. I much prefer tables and chairs over booths, which often give off a fast-food chain vibe. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, though there was some drilling and repair work going on--likely related to safety or exit signage--so that's understandable. Now to the food. The rice was fluffy and deeply infused with flavor from the lamb, clearly absorbing the richness of the long, slow cooking process. The broth had rippled into the rice, creating an incredible depth of taste. If you've had biryani, this was somewhat similar, but with its own distinct character. The lamb itself was exceptionally tender--falling off the bone and melting in the mouth. For anyone who usually avoids lamb due to its strong aroma, this dish is a must-try; there was no overpowering "lamb smell" at all. The meal was accompanied by a fresh salad and two side sauces--one tomato-based and another green sauce that was extremely spicy, so proceed with caution. The mint lemonade deserves a special mention: easily the best I've had. Not overly sweet, clearly made from fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced. We ended the meal with tea and a warm dessert that was buttery, comforting, and topped with cream--an excellent finale. This was a completely new culinary experience for me, and I left the restaurant feeling like my palate had leveled up. Highly recommended--definitely a place worth checking out

Most of the people that we ate with ended up with some type of lamb dish and the lamb was phenomenal. The rice was delicious. The eggplant was delicious. We got a bunch of appetizers. Everything was on point. Everything tasted super fresh and overall we had a very nice experience. The food also came out very quickly. The overall ambience was very nice very home type vibe and it is a smaller restaurant for limited tables One of our friends that we went with since we haven't seen each other for a long time was really craving a beer and kebabs which sometimes a little bit harder than one would anticipate but they served alcohol as well as delicious food so win-win here. So overall, I would highly recommend this place if you want delicious Afghan food, but of course remember to book in advance .

PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING:…read more I decided to give this place a try after being recommended their Chapli Kabobs and being told they were the best. I couldn't resist and decided to treat my mom to a dinner on Mother's Day. What we ordered: Chapli kabobs, lamb karahi, chicken biryani, lassi and chai. Food was okay, i honestly think any Pakistani moms' biryani would be better. Chapli kabobs were pretty good but not to die for. And i honestly think you can find better karahi for cheaper. I loved their chai the most out of everything. Total came down to around $120. Plenty of parking is available in the back. But it was completely empty when we walked in around 5pm on a Sunday. This place has ROACHES. When we got our naan for the karahi, it came on a skewer stand that came out of a wooden block. As soon as the waiter set it on the table and left, a baby roach crawled out of the wooden block. I killed it and told the waiter and the only thing he said was "Oh my God" and took it back to the kitchen. No apology or acknowledgment. But there was some yelling heard from the kitchen. We got our new fresh naan on a plate this time. After we got our chai and were relaxing, I look up towards the tv, there is ANOTHER ROACH crawling up. I got the check and just wanted to leave. The bathrooms were clean enough but there was a leak coming from the flush handle in the women's bathroom and there was a bucket underneath for the water to drip. Overall, I would not recommend and would rather try the other Middle Eastern/South Asian restaurants in the area to try.
