The self-serve buffet consisted of one warming bar with standard Indian dishes that were labelled but not described, assuming you knew what was inside each, or the spiciness of the various options. Thankfully, there was plenty of complimentary water at the tureen on the counter. Lots of colorful and attractive dessert options in the bakery section, but one needs to be familiar with Indian cuisine in order to know what is what! While eating a pakora, I found a white plastic bottle cap mixed into the batter. I called the fast food carry out restaurant and spoke with someone named VJ. As soon as I began to complain, he hung up on me twice and eventually blocked calls. After a little while I was able to leave a message for the owner to call back. An employee who was reluctant to give me his name did have the courtesy to return my call, he stated he was just an employee not in a position to address the issue and seemed not to understand the gravity of the situation. He offered to refund the money if I had a receipt, then there was silence. No, I did not want a free meal. This is a health & safety issue. No one bother to apologise and look into this more seriously. Watch out for foreign objects! read more

A day before I got Pakora, Hari Mirch , Gulab Jaman & Milk Cake. Everything is delicious, I like the balance of veggies & light spices, I have one suggestion if they add pomegranate seeds & whole coriander that will make pakoras more crispy and delicious. The other thing I would suggest to curtails the sugar level in gulab jaman & milk cake so diabetic people can eat it. I definitely recommend Nirala sweet, try it you will never be disappointed. Went there in the evening to get some sweets and ordered 2 samosas. After I get home and open the bag, this is what I find. One of the somosa is broken with all the potatoes out, and the other one was tiny and old. First of all, I'm trying to understand the thought process of the women who decided to put these samosas in my ToGo order and thought it was OK to do that? I had paid for the ordered samosas, it wasn't coming from her pocket nor was it free. If you have bought sweets from Niralla Sweets Restrurant & Banquet Hall. in the past 6 months (or more) PLEASE check your receipts/credit card statements . They have been wrongly charging customers and have refused to fix the problem. We recently purchase sweets from them and I noticed the total looked higher. No issue, I thought, maybe a mistake. After asking the cashier they charged us the wrong price per pound, he just laughed and said "the prices are not updated" (on a digital screen menu that takes less than a minute to update). I mentioned those prices have been there everytime I come, now wondering how many times I've been overcharged. Again, I tried talking to them but they just refused. If you have purchased from this establishment please check your purchases since you may be been overcharged charged without knowing. I went to pick up chaat papri from them. Since I live in Leesburg I told them to put the papri separate as well as the chutney. The guy put the papri in a bag but forgot to put that bag of papri with the rest of the chaat and chutney. Hpw the hell is my daughter supposed to eat chaat papri without the papri. I am writing this review because I felt, this business should get its due credit. I live in Seattle, WA and we visited the place while having my son's wedding in VA. We got all our sweets needs filled by Niralla sweets. I loved their freshly made sweets. Their taste was really good. Staff was courteous and delivered our order on time. We got all the sweets for all 3 events, Nikha, Mehidi and Baraat. They had decorative basket to choose from and so much variety of sweet items to choose from. We were able to select everyone's favorite items in bulk. I am so happy that we selected them as our son's wedding sweet vendor. I highly recommend them for freshly made sweet orders for the wedding and other events. Their prices were reasonable. They had other savory items also in store and we were able to take many of those too. We found those also pretty tasty. Been coming here since before I can remember! I get their mithai once/twice a week and am never disappointed! Their kala gulab jamun is to die for! It is the perfect balance of sweet and soft. I'm not usually a fan of gulab jamun because of how sweet and how overloaded with syrup it can be, but Nirala never disappoints me! In terms of savory food, I usually get the papri chaat, chole chaat, and chole bhature. These always taste like they were made with love, like a nice warm home cooked meal. All the flavors and spices blend well together, and I am never overwhelmed with yogurt/raita. 3.5 stars. Lunch Buffet $6.99 (Mon-Sun). The lunch buffet is from 11-3 pm. It may not be the biggest or best buffet out there but it works for us. I wouldn't drive from afar to eat here, but my family comes here often, since they live close by. Niralla won't hurt your wallet and the food is authentic. They always have a nice selection of delicious vegetarian dishes. Their curried meats are well seasoned and tender. Naan comes with the buffet. If an employee doesn't bring it out for you, just ask for it. If you're not in the mood for buffet, you can order individual dishes as well. There is no server at this place. Simply walk in and find a table. Tell the cashier what you'd like. Everything for the buffet is laid out for you (utensils, napkins, plates, water). If you enjoy Mithai (Sweets), they have a variety of them on display. It's priced according to weight. Their Mithai is OK. I can't say this is my favorite place to get them. It's a bit pricey and the quality isn't as good as some others I've had. They also offer samosas and pakoras as well. Mmmmmm fried goodies. The food quality is extremely poor. I visited this restaurant on 03.17.24 and placed a bulk take away order, 11 Chicken seekh Kabobs orders, 6 chicken Tikka Kabob orders, 2 Chana Choley orders and 2 chicken Baryani orders. The chicken seekh kabobs and chicken Choley were tasteless and were not worth eating. The whole order costs me $ 386.66. Tandoori nans which came with the orders were burnt were thrown in the trash and were not worth eating. Chicken Baryani was charged for $ 19.98 and was not packed with the order. I've been here countless times and for the most part, it's been great. My go to is their goat curry -- it's tender, spicy and delicious. It comes with one naan and rice/chick pea/salad. Super filling. Their chaats and appetizers are good too. Sweets are alright - I've had their gulab jamuns, while it's good... the cardamom flavor was too strong and the jamuns were too dense. I came to lunch thinking the lunch buffet would be open, it was not which was disappointing. Behind the counter it looks like they are operating on Covid restrictions. Plenty of people, but it took probably 25 minutes for the food to get to the table. I had the Chicken Vindallo and Veggie Samosa. The Vindallo was fantastic--heat and flavor. I love this restaurant! Everything was flawless. I ordered two vegetable samosas as an appetizer, and they are only $0.99, which is great. I also ordered the Pani Puri and Butter chicken. The serving sizes are definitely enough for two people to split. I thought that the staff was extremely welcoming and they even gave me a sample of the Gulab jamun to try! Sweets were also "Americanized" version of bastardization of Indian Pakistani dishes. Use of cheap ingredient and poor service can't be ignored. Cutting corners will get you out of business. I admit that Niralla Sweets & Restaurant is lacking in terms of decor, ambiance, and curb appeal, but in exchange you get affordable prices for delicious and varied foods. You order food at the cashier either from their menu (a trifold with prices updated on them) or from the giant billboard on the wall. You order, you pay, and you grab a seat in the modest dining area, which has a Home Depot water cooler from which you can pour tap water into a plastic cup (yes, not the most glamorous), and a giant flat-screen TV on the back wall playing Indian music videos. The food is brought out to you in paper plates and plastic utensils. Onto the food: Absolutely amazing chole batura (chickpeas and deep-fried bread) for $5.99. The batura is twice as much as you'd need for the chole, but I'm not complaining--it's freaking scrumptious! ORDER IT. You will not be disappointed! Samosas, pakoras, and deep-fried and battered hot peppers are surprisingly delightful and will run you less than $1.50. Their chaat is also filling, inexpensive, and worth getting two orders. Their sweets are also tantalizingly delicious, including jalebis, chum-chum, kaju katri, laddoos, and balushai, and worth the price ($5.99/lb). They're fresh and not the Rajbhog ones you get prepackaged at Indian food stores for the same price and with fixed selections. Here you pick and choose. And you certainly have plenty from which to choose. If you have leftover food, don't forget to grab a takeout container sitting above the buffet bar. read more

Dishonest. Went in and got some sweet to-go. Cost $3.18. Gave $3.20. The girl, Maya, took the money and that was it. No change. Stood there and waited. She opened the register and gave me a penny. So I asked how much. She looked at the bill and said $3.18 and gave me another penny and just stare at me. Not trying to be cheap. But if you are dishonest like this, imagine how much you have cheated other customers who didn't pay attention. If you are courteous and nice to me, you would have gotten $2 tip in the tip box. Yesterday I ordered dinner from them on Grubhub. I got chicken tikka kabob ($14.99, substituted for lamb tikka kabob which they didn't have), goat biryani ($9.99), and naan bread ($1.49). The sales tax was $1.59 and the tip was $4.21. The servings were very generous. I was able to eat this over the course of two days. The naan bread was fresher than you get at most other places. The food was spicy but not overly so. The tikka kabob was very good. I don't know how to describe the tikka spices but if you are familiar with Indian food you will know what I am talking about (https://www.food.com/recipe/tikka-spice-mix-2654). The tikka kabob came with rice, chickpeas, and a small salad. The goat meat was falling off of the bone, which is how you know it is done right. When I went in to the restaurant the staff was very friendly. The place was full of patrons. The place was good for casual dining, but not fine dining. The facilities were clean and well maintained but not upscale. My issue is not with the restaurant but with Grubhub. Since I do not own a car, I usually get my groceries through Instacart and my meal orders through Grubhub. I ordered for delivery, but somehow my order got switched to takeout. I instant-chatted with Grubhub customer service and they told me they would send someone to deliver my meal. My meal was marked as picked up, but nobody went to get it. I had to get an Uber to get it and bring it back--$12.00 each way. Needless to say I was very angry with Grubhub. NIralla is alright but I am very disappointed with Grubhub since I have had good luck with them in the past. read more
