    Chicken Tikka Masala

After enjoying a spring walk in the nearby Greenspring gardens park, I stopped by IndAroma for lunch. Thankfully I walked in right before the lunch rush on a Sunday. It was pretty empty when I went in but got fully packed when I got my food. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The man standing at the counter was courteous and handed me the menu. I ended up getting the Tandoori chicken, garlic Naan and my wife got Chicken Tikka masala. The utensils and beverage is self-serve but they bring your food out to your table. There are indoor and outdoor seating available. I think my favorite item from this visit was the garlic naan. It was by far one of the best naan I have ever had in my life. It was so fluffy, chewy, buttery, perfect amount of crisp at the bottom and had the perfect balance of garlic and butter. The tandoori chicken was quite spicy for my taste, but the chicken was very tender and cooked to perfection. The portion size here is pretty good for the price point. I ended up taking some leftovers because of the generous portions. When I crave Indian food, IndAroma will be on my list.

We were out in the suburbs and heard about this place. It's situated in an updated strip mall but really has a modern-chic vibe. The restaurant is on the smaller side (cafe-like) and we were seated at the last available table. If you're planning on arriving in a group this is probably not the place. Although, I did see they did there best to manage seating and accommodate larger parties The menu is diverse and has light yet filling offerings. There were definitely many items that wouldn't see at other Indian based restaurants. Also their preparation of many favorites are not run of the mill. I would say the portions are smaller than expected but definitely filling. I also enjoyed that it's not the vibe is not typical of your every day Indian restaurant. Although there is table seating and someone can take your order at the table, you can also order at the counter. Utensils, napkins, and water pitchers are all self serve. However none of it was plastic so it was a fun and convenient way. Feels like this establishment is more of a cafe, but don't let that discourage you from trying it. In fact it's a must try if you're in the area or seeking more of what the Indian diaspora has to offer.

Our first time trying this restaurant. We ordered Chicken Biryani and Chicken Tandoori with a Naan. The order arrived on time. The Chicken Tandoori was delicious, but the Biryani was just average -- and surprisingly, it came with boneless chicken. Traditionally, biryani should have bone-in chicken, so that was disappointing. The main reason I'm giving a 3-star review is because of the poor customer service from one staff member. As soon as we took our first bite, an older gentleman approached us in a very rude and disrespectful tone, saying: "YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE DRINK." I had already spent nearly $50 on food -- did he really think I was going to run off without paying for a $3 Fanta? Of course, I was going to pay, but the way he said it completely ruined our experience. There was no sign saying we had to pre-pay for drinks, and his approach felt unnecessary and unprofessional. What made it worse is that my wife, who wears a hijab, felt singled out. It left us questioning whether his behavior was simply bad service or something more personal. Either way, it was rude and uncalled for. Unfortunately, because of that interaction, we will not be coming back -- even though the food itself had some highlights.

Nice little casual spot for home style Indian food. I went with a work group for lunch. I ordered the curry chicken and I was worried it would be too hot but the man at the counter who took my order said the heat can be modified to my taste. You go to your table and they bring the food to you. It is served in a bowl of the chicken and broth with rice on the side. It was flavorful and spicy but not to the point that I needed a pitcher of water. They portion was big for my lunch, so doggy bag for me. I'd def recommend if I'm in the neighborhood again.

If you're looking for some Indian food, this is the place to go. As soon as you walk in, you smell the authenticity; it's also filled with native customers. It's clean and the staff are kind. Most importantly, the food was AMAZING. I've tried a handful of different Indian places and safe to say, they had THE BEST biryani, samosa, lassi, and more. Chicken Biryani (10/10) : - PACKED with flavor & spices - comes with one white sauce - lot of juicy flavorful chicken underneath the rice Samosa (9/10) : - comes with 2 sauces, I don't know what it is but compliments the samosa perfectly - crunchy outside and soft inside. Lassi Mango (9/10) : - too expensive for portion ($6) - still worth it if you're craving it - thick, sweet, and most importantly, fresh Garlic Naan (8/10) : - soft, warm, and savory - light hint of garlic (could use more garlic) Overall, IndAroma exceeded my expectations, would def visit again.

"I'm so glad I found IndAroma! It's definitely going to become my go-to restaurant for Indian food. The service was friendly, and the Chicken Tikka Masala was amazing - it had a lot of chicken and was really rich and creamy. I also highly recommend ordering the garlic naan as a side - it was so buttery and soft! The Tandoori chicken took the longest to come out, and it was a little too spicy for my taste. Just a heads up - the utensils and beverages are self-serve.

I'll start by prefacing that I'm married at an India man, so I eat Indian food on a regular basis. We ordered Chaat Papdi, Palak Paneer and Paneer Makhani. The Chaat Papdi was okay - in my opinion it had way too much yogurt which over saturated the taste. The Palak Paneer was SO BLAND! Which was very disappointing as it's usually one of my favorite dishes to order at Indian restaurants. Not a hint of garlic or onion flavor in it whatsoever. The Paneer Makhani was actually really good! It was creamy and flavorful and I'd definitely order it again. Also, the Gulab Jamun Cheesecake was delicious and is definitely worth trying! It's unique as I've never had anything like it before, so if you like Gulab Jamun and Cheesecake as two separate things, there's a high possibility that you'll enjoy it fused together.

The food here is so good and it comes out so fast, they do a good job of making it not spicy if you don't want it spicy but it's a bit pricey. You have to set the table for yourself but they deliver the food to you, it's like a cafe style

A coworker suggested I check this place out. I finally found some time to visit IndAroma and I'm glad I did. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and the tandoori salmon. The chicken tikka masala was flavorful. The chicken was tender and the sauce was not spicy at all. The tandoori salmon was okay but not my favorite. I ordered it based off the images I saw online. Perhaps it looked a little different because my order was a take out order instead of a dine in order. The salmon was cooked fine but based off of looks it the appearance was lacking. Overall I enjoyed my food and look forward to visiting the restaurant again.

Stopped in for take-away dinner for the SO and I and noticed they had a banana mouse cake. WHAT??!!! The SO loves bananas so figured it would be a treat. Got home, unpacked my goodies, in a VERY CUTE TAKE-OUT BAG, grabbed a spoon and went straight for the cake. Not sure if it's a cake but it is DAMN GOOD. I never equate fall with bananas but the flavors in this here dessert ARE AMAZING. Light, airy, banana'e, not too sweet and with hints of fall flavors. You have to try it!

Food was absolutely amazing! Been going to this establishment for years and decided to finally try the Boneless chicken biryani. It definitely did not disappoint. Great portions and flavors. Samosas as an appetizer also hit different, 10/10.

Murgh Lababdar ( a chicken dish) my husband like. We got it to go, always fresh herbs and sauce, goes well with their Lachcha Paratha

The spot is in Kingstown plaza, which there is a ton of parking available and you get to check all the shops around! We usually order Their Samosa Chaat as our main appetizer, the tamarind chutney they use is sweeter than the rest I've tried. The major downside is that the dish used to be 2 samosas cut in half, and now it's just one samosa, which makes the dish so tiny it hurts Also I wish they would add a little bit more yogurt to the mix! I've had before their Yellow Lentil stew or Dal Tadka, it was pretty yummy and the ginger very punchy! I liked to hear that this can be vegan (I'm assuming they would use vegan butter instead of ghee). In my honest opinion it might have needed acidity factor like a green chutney, but having it alongside the Salmon Tikka Massala (which is tomato based curry) was a great choice, because the acidity and sweetness of this other curry balanced the overall dinner experience! As for the Salmon Tikka, I think it's a pretty solid curry dish and the salmon is cooked perfectly! Not fishy after taste or smell. I like their cheese naan, because they use some sort cottage cheese or farmers cheese. their naan usually is more crispy due to the time left baking, but I still bubbly and soft to enjoy on its own, because they use spices and ghee to season them! I'm intrigued how they make their Aloo Paratha! So, since I was looking for Pizza, the Butter Chicken Pizza caught my eye and instantly made me craving for it. Unfortunately, it was too late the night that I found them on Yelp, so I had to wait a couple of days. I knew generally where they were located, but had no idea that they were nestled a couple doors down from the Harris Teeter I have been going to for years. Even knowing the address, I passed by the first time as it doesn't stand out among the other businesses in the strip mall. Upon walking in, I saw that the place is clean and I was immediately greeted by the gentleman at the register. Still craving the idea of Butter Chicken on a Pizza, how could I order anything else? Well, when I noticed that they also sell momos, I also ordered Chicken Momos. The sound of a Mint Cherry Lemonade spurred my curiosity as well, so that topped off my order. The steamed momos took a little bit of time to make, so I was given my lemonade in the meantime...at my request. It is pretty amazing...but, you may want to ask for extra ice as it is very sweet and very sour at the same time...but is made fresh from real fruit and muddled mint. After about 10min, my order was ready, and somehow I was able to resist the urge to open the bag before my ten minute drive home. I have to admit, at first sight, the size to price ratio seemed to be off balance. The Butter Chicken flatbread pizza is not that big. Personal sized is appropriate...but the size is deceptive. Every bite of this little Pizza was amazing. It was like Butter Chicken and Pizza were made to be paired...with a generous amount of mozzarella marrying the two together. The chicken, the sauce, the cheese, the spice, the flatbread, the caramelized edges...all make for an amazing experience. After finishing the last bite of the last slice, I was unexpectedly, and pleasantly full. So, that size to price ratio? For such a unique and amazing Pizza, I think it's appropriately priced. The momos I had to save for the next day, but they too were amazing. For those unfamiliar with momos, the dumplings themselves are not that different from other Asian dumplings except that they tend to be fully stuffed and with higher quality meat. What sets momos apart is the sauce which is rich and flavorful...not just soy sauce like so many other asian dumplings. In this case, the sauce is a rich, creamy, spicy tomato sauce...and it paired perfectly with the chicken momos. They too seemed to be too few to make a meal, but I was wrong. Totally full afterwards with smile a mile wide. Will I be back? Uh...I would have gone back every day afterwards if I didn't want to ruin a good thing!

I found this place at the base of a mixed use development. It had garage parking nearby. Someone else ordered the same thing and asked for extra salt to dump on the chickpeas, which just baffled me. The flavor was ample. I also ordered a chai, and while they call it a cutting chai (which I understand to mean cut in half in size), it was a decent amount and a nuanced mix of spices. The owner was a little odd and was making calls to various tables and being kind of pushy such that it made one little girl uncomfortable to the point where her party complained about it, which was acknowledged by staff. I would advise them to put the customer's well-being first, but neither I nor the offended parties would seem to have any compunctions about coming back for the food.
