Gumbo. Not perfect, but best I've found besides homemade. No skimping on ingredients, including the Tobacco.

We had not been here before and didn't realize how long it would take to get our food. Although there are tables, most people order carry out. When you enter, everyone (dine in and carry out) goes into the huge line to your left. The line took some time itself to get to one of the three registers. From the moment we entered the building until they gave us the two meals we had ordered was an hour. It was packed, so most of that hour was spent standing. There are no fountain drinks, just bottles that come with the food so you are waiting for an hour without a drink as well. Now that being said, the food was delicious. Two adults split the $22 special that came with 2 lbs shrimp, sausage, onion, and 2 small corn halves. It was plenty for two people. The chicken dinner fed two kids with fries to spare. The crab balls were just ok, my least favorite thing, but the hush puppies were good. The crab legs were also good, and the poboys are huge. Given how good the food was, we may return. It really depends on if we can call and order ahead because the wait time is just too long. read more

Huge portions! Seriously. The boudain balls were a little too well done and all that fried food is a lot of salt, but it is good prices and decent turn around time on getting your order out. It was amazing how fluffy and light the flounder and oysters were. I'd love to see coleslaw or macaroni in cheese or something like that added to the menu but with enough food for 2-3 meals I'll just add my own slaw tomorrow. read more

The worst experience I have ever had in my life. I bought food for my dad who is on hospice and bedridden. I call to say it's to salty and I'm told I have to bring it back this evening as I wanted to take it tomorrow so I did not have to leave my dad. I get there and they accuse me of eating over half. I tell them first of all I don't even eat it. It was for my dad and all I want were the shrimp replaced. They rudely refuse and the cashier even mocks me to another patron saying I just tried to bring back a half eaten plate. I call back to speak with an owner. I explain to another guy and he tells me they don't sell food for me to take away and let someone taste it. I share my dad is on hospice and bedridden and could not accompany me. He tells me he doesn't care and he would call the police if I call back. I tried again and another guy identifies himself as the "head honcho" yells at me and hangs up. I'm assuming this was the male owner who they told me wasn't there. I call to leave a message for a lady I've met before and the guy who told me he didn't care that my dad was on hospice tells me he isn't doing anything for me and hangs up on me again. To accuse me of eating food I didn't eat is one thing but to tell me you don't care that my dad is on hospice is inhumane. I've heard a lot of really bad stuff about this place and the staff who work there and I use to actually take up for them. In fact I told the gentleman on the phone this to which he says "that doesn't mean anything to me". Unbelievable and disgusting. Don't ever patronize these people who have absolutely no respect for you. read more

OMG My friend and I were in Mobile and she took me here. I had never had Royal Red Shrimp. They even steam them there to eat in or out if you wish. As I was eating these all I could say was WOW!! My order was made wrong it was under my impression that it would be something else, when i went to return the order to let them know that it wasn't what i expected the owner told me that's what you ordered and walked away from me and even threatened an employees job once she tried to talk to me about the order.
