It was my first time going here and I truly enjoyed my experience! I took the coffee and clay class. I believe the woman that was the instructor was named Madi (i could be wrong). She was very pleasant and easy to follow along with. She gave us extra time to finish painting our mugs. The coffee and tea I tried was very good too! Overall I will come back and try a different course! read more

Today was my first time doing wheel pottery and I had great time. The location is new and the space large. Everyone in the class was kind. I must give big props to Gabriel, our instructor. He was so patient and kind to my older parents (and speaking to them in Spanish at times) and really made everyone feel comfortable & encouraged. Thanks again! read more

Leaving an honest review since all the positive reviews made my expectations higher than they should have been. I took a pottery spinning class here with my partner. The instructor forgot to give me a clay piece at first.. and I had to remind him, no biggie. We also were not told we were going to make two pots in one session. So the second one was quite rushed. But I actually liked how my second one turned out better. When I picked up my pot, someone told me one my second pot didn't make it from a possible staff member breaking it while glazing? They mentioned it in their policy that this could happen, which is fair I guess. Both my partner's pots survived, but it had a pen mark on it on the glaze and the name was misspelled on the bottom. I know you pay for the experience, however the experience itself was underwhelming as well.. I honestly didn't feel like the pots were handled with care with the pen mark defect, misspelling of name, and my pot being broken. Gotta remember they don't give refunds for the "unpredictable nature." They did give me a gift certificate for my broken pot. But I won't be using it since the location is far where I live and I will be relocating soon. read more

We LOVE mud hut pottery studio! We've done 1 class so far and we've gone in just paint pieces twice now!! Each time we've had a wonderful experience!! The staff is always so professional and helpful and patient! Today I had gotten a gift certificate and hadn't realized until I was done painting my 2 pieces that it was supposed to only be for a class ‍. But Chase stepped in and took care of me! Between my gift certificate and the surprise that everything's 20%off Mon-Thursday I walked out owing nothing!! This was a fantastic surprise birthday present! Not only did I get to spend some time with/ my mom but it was just a wonderful day! As always we can't wait to get our pieces back and see how they turn out! Thank you Chase!! & thank you Mud Hut!! read more

I have never done ceramics/pottery before, but I loved it after today. I booked the 2 hour couples session and we were able to make 2 items. Bryan was incredible at explaining exactly what to do on the wheel and how to do it. He then lets you practice the skill on your own and steps in if needed, in an uplifting, reassuring way. I felt like he was very kind and even helped me put a drainage hole to turn my item into a pot for my plants. It was a big studio space and I felt very comfortable. I highly recommend giving it a try. read more

Came with friends to beginner pottery wheel class. It was so fun! Very worth it. Learned lots and makes you want to learn more. Now I'll never look at mugs, bowls, etc. the same, but as an art and unique creations, even our human mistakes. Chase was a great patient instructor. I'm happy I got to make 2 pieces. read more

I had such a wonderful time at the beginner pottery wheel class with Bryan. Who was such a great instructor! He was patient, clear in all of his explanations and made our entire group feel comfortable as beginners. I do wish aprons were provided though, to better protect your clothing. But the space is well kept and organized. It very much so gave calmness and light! The 90 minute class ended with my two pieces being left for drying and glazing by the staff. I was told I would receive a call in about two weeks once they are ready for pick-up. I'm excited to see the final product and I am so looking forward to my next visit. I'm thinking painting. Thank you MHPS team for a memorable experience! read more

My sister and I brought our mom here to do a pottery wheel class for her birthday. The class was a nice, small size (8 of us), and ranged in experience levels from total newbie to beginner/intermediate. Chase was a fantastic teacher! He was so patient and didn't make anyone feel like they sucked. He was super supportive and gave good instructions. I'm an educator and was really impressed with his ability to teach. I ended up making a little bowl type thing. The facility itself is simple but cute and organized. I had so much fun and hope to do a few more classes before getting a membership. Will be back. read more

Took the 4 week class w/Bryan! It was the best experience ever!! His patience, his knowledge, & his fun way of teaching made me love it so much that I'm taking another 4 week class w/my daughter... wish they would provide an intermediate class but that's not Bryan's fault! He understood the assignment and executed it well!! If you thought of it don't think further!! Take the 4 wk, if possible take it with Bryan!! read more

Took a class here with my partner and we both enjoyed learning something new! While we are supposed to do 2 projects, Bryan went into great detail for us all (the whole class was beginners), that we only did one but that's ok! I would rather learn how to do one well than to have rushed 2 that I didn't like in the end. The color was perfect too! read more

My boyfriend and I took the beginner's pottery wheel class and we had such a fun time! Chase was our instructor and he did a great job guiding/helping us throughout the process and answering all our questions. The studio itself is very clean, bright, and aesthetic. They provide everything you need- just make sure to trim your nails beforehand (if you do have long nails, they do account for that too though). We made two things each and at the end, they will glaze it for us (you choose the color) and we will have to come back in a few weeks once it's ready. read more

First time doing this, have always wanted to be one with the wheel, and this place did not disappoint on any level! Chase was our instructor and inspiration! Chase shared beneath the surface level of it all, when it comes to pottery, which is what I knew I'd feel if I ever got my hands on some clay and a wheel! This was such a therapeutic time, I couldn't recommend this place enough! I walked in inspired and excited, and walked out even more inspired! We have been looking for a local pottery studio for our son Jacob. Jacob, who has Down Syndrome, has taken ceramics in high school for the past two years. Jacob loves pottery but needed a little extra instruction. His ceramic's teacher suggested finding a private studio. I called Mud Hut and they were more than happy to work with him. He had his first lesson this week with Chase. Jacob loved every minute of it. Chase was patient and Jacob learned several new techniques. In just one lesson his projects were so much more advanced. I recommend Mud Hut highly. read more

amazing experience!!! took my five year old son to the kids class wednesday at 4pm, signed up online for 30$. the class teacher was Alex, she was so good at assisting while still allowing the kids to do it on their own thing. (my sons pig would not have looked like a pig if not for her & he's usually not the type to be very accepting of help. he wants to do it all on his own, but alex was a natural) they got to choose between a pig and a bear. i was very impressed with the over all experience! & my son had the best time! we can't wait to come back! read more

My sister and I took the beginning pottery wheel class that was hosted by Bryan and had a great time! He went step by step and explained how common mistakes happened, which was helpful as I had never done pottery before. He certainly was experienced and had plenty of knowledge to simplify it enough for first-timers to understand what to do. His personality was kind, patient, and funny, which added to the experience! The studio was large, and with two separate group classes, it still felt spacious, and I could easily hear directions. The group size was 10, which was nice because Bryan was quickly available to anyone who had a hiccup or made a mistake (me several times). The class was awesome and would be great for anyone looking to try something new or a fun friend outing! I can't wait to go again in the near future and learn more! read more

Entirely welcoming and kind! Many options from just painting to a single class on a wheel to four week skill building. My favorite sequence is the hand building with Darlene. In 4 sessions we make 3 entire pieces with glazing, and then they fire which is included in the cost of the class! I am not artistic but with encouragement and modeling I am enjoying making art. read more

We had so much fun learning to use a pottery wheel with Brian! I don't know that I expected to laugh as much as I did. It was a great experience and I can't wait to go back again. I went with my daughter, and neither one of us have ever had any experience with pottery. But Brian took us through every step and taught us the process. The second time around he let us have the space to practice what we had learned. Incredible! Thank you! read more

Me and my girlfriend ended up being late 15 min late to the date night pottery due to an accident on the way. Once we arrived the instructor didn't seem to keen. While the session was continuing we got this unwanted feeling and can tell he did not want to help us. Almost felt alienated from the rest of the group. He would come to the rescue when it came to others needing help but not us. Usually these type of experiences are encouraging and uplifting but it was highly discouraging. Moral of the story is don't be late because they will embarrass you in front of everyone. read more

15/10 would recommend, definitely the best class I've ever gone too, I did a private group lesson with my friends and family and they accommodated to all our wants and needs! I did if for my 21st birthday and it was very cheap in comparison to other places and they did more than others usually do! We did hand building and wheel throwing due to our bigger sized group! I have been wanting to do pottery as a career eventually and didn't know where to start, they even gave me advice for that! Can wait for their bigger building to open up so I can purchase a membership. If you were looking for a place to go for any pottery related activities, this is the place! Thank you guys again!!! read more
