I have been taking my daughter to the Saturday morning classes here for 6 months and love the instructor and the creative experience. Everyone here is very genuine and the curriculum is thoughtful. With all that being said, Artists collective will be hosting my daughters 10th birthday in March. Greg ( I believe the owner) has been corresponding with me, and everything thus far has been running smoothly. Needless to say, my daughter can't wait! I love their sip and paint sessions. Not your average sessions. We painted a Georgia OKeeffe. Would highly recommend

We did the family lesson here with three people. It was fifteen bucks a pop and 100% worth it. While none of us are fantastic artists; this experience was fun, reasonably priced, and very zen. The instructor was into it, loved giving attention to my little guy, and we all had a blast. I would highly recommend this place

I love this place! They have so many cool merch items. It's a great place to walk through, browse and see what's new. What I also love is that you can walk in at anytime to paint, you just have to buy your canvas or DIY item and paint is free. I like that you don't have to make an appointment or wait for a class, it's convenient for anytime. My daughter went yesterday and chose this house, it came out so cute!!

My husband and I were searching for a venue to hold our 50th birthday party and are so thankful we discovered Artists Collective! It is such a unique space to hold an event. We were able to comfortably fit ten round tables for 80 guests and still have ample room for a DJ and dance floor. Greg, the owner, is wonderful, as are the staff and affiliate vendors. I really appreciated that Greg was so easy to reach and always got back to me so quickly with any questions I had. Everything that had been promised was fulfilled and then some. He even followed up the next day to make sure everything went well. Thank you, Artists Collective, for making our 50th birthday so very special!

Flyer handed to me by the art studio detailing their new party packages in January 2023. Today none of these exist.

Deceptive and unprofessional business practice just about sums up my impression of Artists Collective for private events. I was in the market for a unique birthday party experience for my 6-year-old son and stumbled upon this place through online search. Paint party packages were not yet advertised on their website back in January 2023, so I made a trip in-person to inquire more. The studio is located inside the scenic Dos Lagos shopping center and appears bright and inviting. I was immediately greeted by two nice young ladies, who took the time to explain their newly introduced party packages and hand me a flyer, detailing what was included, as well as add-on options like balloon twisting or face painting if so desired. I left my first visit feeling pretty good. A few days later, I returned to the studio with a commitment to lock in a date. This time, I was greeted by the owner, Greg. He explained that we would work together to come up with a paint subject for my party with up to 3 interpretations (what was also printed on the flyer given to me). I let him know my little guy would love to paint a Pokémon, and he replied not a problem. We agreed on a date and deposit amount, although there was no event contract, which seemed odd. I assumed both parties would act on good faith. This should've been a red flag--but I ignored my instincts. I had asked to be billed with an invoice rather than transferring money over Zelle, and I immediately remitted payment like a good customer. Over the course of the next 2 weeks, my communication with Greg was mostly smooth and he was always very responsive and polite. However, nothing had been brought up about the paint subject, so I proactively asked that we start on the process and proceeded to send him some images for inspiration. He responded the artist would mock something up that week. 1.5 weeks go by, and nothing. I started to wonder if it had been forgotten, so when I asked again, he apologized for the delay and would get me something shortly. A few hours go by, and I was presented with what looked like Pikachu. I know art is subjective. It may not have looked exactly like what I imagined, but directionally we were getting there. I showed it to my son, and he chuckled why Pikachu appeared he's devoured Kirby. I explained everyone's Pikachu will look different, but he asked if we could make the painting at least more colorful (similar to the original inspiration I had sent the artist). I politely asked Greg if his artist could do another interpretation and add a little more color to the background, and he replied that the artist would just make the notes to do so, the mock-up was for demo purpose and that kids should create their own interpretations. Unfortunately, I didn't raise a little Van Gogh, at 6 he wouldn't understand what it means to interpret, nor will his little friends. What they see is what they will paint. Besides, what happened to the offer to do up to 3 demos?! I proceeded to tell him honestly that my son wasn't impressed by the first (and evidently last) demo; however, if the artist can make the modifications on the day of, and just not show the demo piece to represent the final masterpiece, then we should be good. Moments later, I was sent a politely written message that we are not on the same "creative page" and that my party would best be taken elsewhere; how would I like I receive my deposit, Zelle? I was appalled. I immediately called Greg twice and even left a voicemail, cordially asking him to give me a call to clear up the miscommunication over text message. However, the silent treatment was loud and clear. Half an hour later, I sent another cordial message to Greg that if he would prefer not to host my party, the deposit could be Zelle'd back to me. Shortly after, the deposit hit my bank account. Not even one decency to return a text or a call--a flat out cancellation 1.5 weeks before my party when I had 40 people confirmed to attend. Unbelievable. Now I understand why an event contract was never required--it wasn't to protect the customer from the vendor rendering the agreed services, but rather for the vendor to cancel on you whenever they felt like it. I'm still scratching my head over what went wrong, not to mention the amount of false advertising between what was published on their website in January varying significantly different from the printed flyer versus what is currently published. Website prices are now higher, with no mention of the 3 interpreted demos. Fortunately, I was able to secure a plan B for my son's party at Purple Easel in Ontario (check out my review there!). Greg was absolutely right in that I would be happier taking my party somewhere else. I will never look back at Artists Collective nor will I ever recommend this establishment to anyone. Can't say anything regarding their classes, I'll never take any. It's now my turn to give this place the silent treatment.

We just had our event 10/28 . It was a custom Halloween painting party ! Greg the Owner was so wonderful and sooo nice . He works diligently to custom ur event package and that is deeply appreciated .. to have a venue that can custom ur package is sooo wonderful . Greg responds so quick to his messages .. even late messages and that was soo thoughtful . He took the time to message back even on those late nights! If ur an easy going client .. this is ur venue to book... from my experience .. kids just want to paint and have a carefree fun environment to do it !! To the entire artist collect studio thank u so much .. !

I didn't buy anything but towards the back you can have a recital or gallery. It's at Dos Lagos so parking isn't much of an issue
