This was my first pottery-making experience, and our instructor guided us through making a matcha bowl step by step. I needed a little extra help, and she was very patient and encouraging. The session felt slightly rushed toward the end. We had waited for other members of our party who ultimately didn't arrive, which may have contributed to that. We were also told it would take about six weeks to receive our finished pieces after glazing and firing. I wish the turnaround were shorter--I'm excited to see my bowl! Overall, it was a fun, creative way to celebrate a birthday and a lovely introduction to pottery.

When we arrived a couple of us were told by the instructor, Kim that we had purchased the wrong yarn. Not knowing anything about yarn, I told her that I bought " chunky " yarn as mentioned on the event page. She said it would not be possible to make the craft with that yarn. An attendee of the class had an extra skein and was nice enough to sell it to me. My partner used that one while I tried to make the most of the situation and used the yarn I bought. It was impossible, so I ate my snacks and watched as everyone else made their pumpkin. I could see that most people were confused on what to do and most left without a completed craft. Even the instructor had to unravel her pumpkin and start over. We were so excited to learn a new hobby but left deeply disappointed.
