He is extremely humble, considering he's made a career out of acting. He never treats an actor as if they've 'arrived'--rather it seems he values growth and reflection. Whether you are a beginner or have years of experience and credentials, you'll learn a lot from taking his class. He also offers students practical advice for working in the industry. Worked there for a year and then got a position for the county. I believe that my experience here helped me to have a foot in the door with each of these places, so when this is you I highly recommend showing them they need you. Always ask to help and never be afraid to try something new and NEVER tell them no (within reason). Also treat others kindly and offer to help outside your scope of work, I helped receptionists and kennel attendants all the time. I was even the Sunday person who took care of the entire hospital when staff was gone (to include power washing the external areas and sweeping/mopping). Be empathetic. These patients don't have a voice, you need to be that for them. I will also say that no matter what you think of the shelter, put those ideas aside. It was the best place I've worked, they do everything they possibly can to help those in need and get every animal into a home. This is just an update for students in the program. Work hard, don't engage in drama, soon this phase of life will pass and you'll be in your career field. If anyone has any questions please let me know.

I inquired about going to the LVN program. I had appointment at 9:30 and had to wait longer than my…read moreappointment time. Mark was the staff member who I had the appointment with. When going into this school you have to take a basic math test, but you have to call in before you take the test and they only allow 4 students a day to take the test, 2 in the evening and 2 in the morning for the day. Then you have to write an essay and Mark encouraged me to write a sob story to encourage the higher ups to choose me to attend the school, which was strange. I got a text asking if I want to go to the school and after looking at A reading the school is a 2.4 star Yelp, and a lot of the reviews are really bad. I declined the offer via text and I thought that was done and that was a month ago. Today I got a call from Mark asking if I made a decision on which school I was going to which I felt odd and I already responded and declined attend attending Platt, I let him know that I wasn't interested due to the school having really low ratings and that I found the testing system of only 11 for students a day and inconvenience. Mark then started to rebuttal with me, I then try to get off the phone, but before I could say, thank you for the offer he hung up on me. All of the reviews are about staff behavior and I got first hand on how the staff treat students. AVOID THIS SCHOOL!

My son has been going to Valverde for 2 years. He started taking musical theater 1. He decided he…read morewanted to take more classes and improve his skills. He's now taking 6 classes!! (Musical Theater 1, Musical Theater 2, tap 1, tap/ballet , jazz and HipHop)He went from a boy with anxiety to this confident performer. He was in his second musical Mary Poppins this past weekend. To see him perform with the biggest smile made me cry. He was confident and was so excited about the show. The show was AMAZING!!!!!!!!It's been great watching not just my son but many of the cast members just grow in theater. Thank You Mr.Frank and Mrs.Yesenia for bringing out the best in my son. He himself thanked them after the show for teaching him the songs and the choreography. All his teachers are all wonderful , Mrs.Megan , Miss. Larissa, Miss. Jenna, Miss. Jack , thank you ALL for not giving up on my son. A special shout out to Miss. Jack. Andrew wanted to try tap. Since the class has been practicing for a few months Andrew felt discouraged since they were already learning the song that they will be performing on the summer showcase. After trying the class he didn't want to continue since he was just starting and felt lost. Miss Jack told him she sees his talent and he can do it. She told him to come back the next week and try again. He tried again and he felt that he couldn't do it. Miss.Jack told him to think about it , she believes in him, if he still don't feel comfortable he can enroll after the summer showcase and start from the beginning. She was very sweet to him. On our way home he decided he wanted to continue!!! His words " mom , Miss.Jack believes in me. I want to take her class , I can do it " He's doing amazing. She knew how much he did want to take her class and encouraged him. I can't wait to see him on stage in June for the summer showcase. I also want to give a shout out to the parent volunteers.They're very helpful, it was so nice to hear from them how Andrew has grown so much in theater. Another shout out to Kyle , the front receptionist for being helpful and answering my million questions haha. Us parents don't just cheer for our kids we cheer for all the kids. I am thankful I found Valverde. They have help mold my son in this confident , happy , positive young performer. Can't wait to see him continue growing in theater !! In the end, the reason we won't go back is because of how rude Chase was over not contacting us…read morewhen our pieces were ready. They said 6 to 8 weeks but on the 13th week, after we called to find out why it was taking so long, we were rudely informed by Chase that he had "text" us twice, neither of which did we receive. The he told us we had till the end of the week to pick them up? This is in the 13th week with no text or call. Either way, we rush down and wait for him to come help us. In the meantime someone else walks in behind us. When Chase came out, he didn't even say hi, walked right past us to the one who entered after and literally ignored us while having a conversation with a vendor (?!) Then once he was done he proceeded to rudely push about how he had text us twice. I have no clue why that means his fingers don't work to make an actual call and leave a message but there you have it. He was confrontational as i see it because we didn't even bring up the prior rudeness or insistence that he had text but I certainly had my phone ready to show him that indeed there was no text, no call, no nothing. He didn't care, barely looked and lost a couple of people who were actually considering their extremely high monthly rates. Pretty mind blowing when it's a bit over 500 bucks a month for 2 people. Yup, every month and all it includes is the space and the wheel, nothing else. The class itself was great but because of Chase, who told us he was the owner but lists here as the busines manager, we won't go back. I see another review here with the same trouble in not getting their pieces or being informed that the pieces are ready so I guess if you want to pay 50 bucks a person for the classes and do the work to make sure you get what you pay for then have at it. We are going to try one of the other many pottery places close by.

For the most part, all the information you can ever need to get through a basic associate's degree and transfer is available online on their website. Not sure why everyone is hellbent on meeting with people to go over a basic ed plan, AI will do it for you and better. I really don't understand all the negative reviews; people actually point out their faults and shortcomings in the navigating process but somehow its somebody else's fault. "I had good grades, but I turned in some work late and got a fail" really, take some responsibility. Sure, I can understand that its overwhelming at times, and downright frustrating to not get answers right when we want them. But you have to understand the scope of this type of institution. Every year its the same, predictable even. Yet most complaints are just gripes about how their experience was "tough" because nobody helped them personally, welcome to the real world. You look out for yourself. You will have to be the squeaky wheel to get the grease. Ask lots of questions and don't be afraid to rattle some cages. Afterall the people who work at RCC are just people, forget attitudes and personal feelings towards the staff. Remember you're there for a personal goal and that should be your focus. If one counselor is not helpful go to another one. If you don't like the way your degree is shaping out, change it. Don't be a complainer who does nothing about it. RCC is great, really people don't hesitate to ask your professors questions, they are for the most part really down to earth people trying to make a difference. I passed all the assignments but I was late turning in the lab work and received two fails as my final grade. Even though I passed 95% of the work with better than 80% scores. That's my complaint.
