This is an update with posted pics of what the weak ass counselors should be giving you along with GOOD advise, which I've experienced and heard is hard to get at RCC. I had a bad experience here with a very unmotivated counselor as you can see in the original review but my niece just recently also had a similar experience with a different counselor. Wish I knew their names so that you don't schedule an appointment with them. Anyway I really don't understand their work ethic and sympathize with new students. Especially the ones that don't know where or how to begin and they go to these people for guidance. Anyway I hope these pics of the guide will help a bit, it really helped me set a smooth path in college.

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I miss Chabot in Hayward. Although this is a nice campus, well I actually don't know how to finish that sentence. Website is horrible, do you guys still use America Online? Try calling to get information and you are disconnected after going through the maze of extensions. Get it together RCC. The good: Cafeteria and my music professors The bad: anything that isn't the cafeteria and anyone that isn't my music professors

OMG, was I wrong!! The campus is breathtakingly beautiful, reminiscent of California Lutheran University, a place that I absolutely adore. The stunning architecture, picturesque gardens, and majestic trees create a serene ambiance. The friendly and helpful individuals strolling around campus, the students socializing, engaging, and beaming with joy, all contribute to a campus culture that resonates deeply with our family values. Having had the privilege of traveling back and fourth to CLU for the past 11 years watching CM achieve his Bachelor's and a Master's, and AM having earned his BA with a masters in cyber security and is about to achive a second Master's degree, the prospect of looking for a new university for them to pursue a PhD is daunting; because we are all involved so deeply at Cal Lutheran. However, the possibility of embracing CBU as new academic home for the next five years is undeniably exhilarating. OMG, this is truly an electrifying prospect!!

As you go through the mods you start to notice how poorly funded the school is for the high price of 48,000 per student, about a million of tuition per class but no updates to the schools technology, tools, and even supplies often running out before we can finish our projects. 30 students in my class 2 dropped out and a total of 4 of us actually achieved the A&P this school was pushing you to get. Office staff is upon the worst I've ever dealt with in my life, except the front desk lady named Zoila she's terrific and probably the only one who cares about the students. I call and ask for a lady that was helping me with my testing for my o&p for my reimbursement and they must've fired her like they fire all the other great staff members that were once here. All the man tells me is she's not in but he can direct me to another man so I said sure. And then sure enough I never received a call back. I only attended because my cousins attended and stuck it out, definitely wouldn't recommend this school to friends n family, I direct people to Chaffey or even San Bernardino, it's much cheaper and I've heard good things from other A&ps I've since met

components are missing as well…read more We work primarily off of the website canvas. Exercises are majority a waste of time and towards the end of my term here, it got so messed up scheduling wise, we had 1 quiz for the whole week (usually 2-3) and the instructor just gave us the answers to the test because it was over materials that we haven't even covered yet. Very overpriced for the lack of resources as well. It is faster than attending a 2 year course, but a waste of time if you are not able to pass the licensing tests at the end of it. UPDATE: Graduated and received my Powerplant license and working towards airframe. When I graduated throughout that time, majority of the more knowledgeable and available to work with instructors were fired/left so I can attest to the competence of the new staff as of now. To be honest, be prepared to do majority of the learning and research on you own, and on your own time. There is likely nothing the instructors can tell you that you can't find in a book or on you tube. We still have access to the PowerPoints, however for each subject, it is not condensed into one PowerPoint. Meaning that you will likely have to download 10+ PowerPoints just to learn about 1 subject.

Our Experience - Our…read moreson was in a classroom of 36 children--an environment that quickly proved overstimulating. At first, we worried there might be a developmental issue, but after evaluation by both an ENT and psychologist, it was clear the problem was environmental, not developmental. The noise and chaos made it difficult for him to adjust. While he initially had some behavioral challenges, he improved significantly over time. Unfortunately, the final incident that led to his removal was not handled appropriately. Our son bit a child out of frustration--at which point staff intervened. However, their response and follow-up reflected a lack of attention and bias; they implied our son was lying because the other child "never does anything." This made it clear they weren't observing closely and were making assumptions rather than investigating. A few weeks prior to this incident, we received a call from CPS--not because of our son's actions, but because the school failed to report an injury he sustained there, even though staff documented it internally. We took him to the hospital and discovered he had a fractured finger, requiring a cast from his hand to his bicep for three weeks. CPS confirmed the school's reporting failure as negligence and contacted us within 48 hours. That alone speaks volumes about the school's accountability and oversight. Lack of Follow-Through on Agreed Behavior Plan My wife and I are proactive, involved parents. She's a behavior analyst who designs behavior intervention plans for special education, so we know what works and came prepared to collaborate. We met with the administration--including the owner--and created a clear, simple behavior plan that everyone agreed to. Yet, it was never implemented. Staff routinely told us they were "too busy" or that "it's hard with so many kids." They even filled out behavior logs after the fact, undermining the purpose entirely. The agreed plan only required a brief hourly check-in with three questions and a sticker. That's not excessive--it's the bare minimum for consistent behavioral reinforcement. We were told repeatedly that they wanted to "partner with us" and that our son was "wonderful," but words don't equal action. The follow-through and professionalism simply weren't there. Concerns About the Learning Environment Frankly, this didn't feel like a true Montessori school. Instead of fostering independence and self-guided learning, children were often forced to complete the same tasks and play with the same toys. Structure is necessary, but Montessori principles are about exploration, curiosity, and individualized pacing. That freedom was absent here. When his first teacher left, staff told the children she was "on vacation." For weeks, our son was confused and asking about her. Instead of using it as a gentle teaching moment about change and transitions, they chose dishonesty, which sends the wrong message about trust and emotional resilience. What We Learned After Leaving Our son is now at a different Montessori school, and the contrast is astonishing. He wakes up excited for school, runs to get ready, and sometimes even asks to go on weekends. He's thriving--no behavior issues, no complaints, and a radiant enthusiasm for learning. His new environment offers freedom within structure, smaller class sizes, and genuine care. He chooses his own activities and feels empowered, not overwhelmed. Final Thoughts We entered this school with optimism and the desire to partner with educators who understood child development. Unfortunately, what we encountered was a disorganized, overcrowded, and inattentive environment. Staff seemed well-intentioned but overextended, and the administration overpromised and underdelivered. We appreciate the time and effort of individual teachers who cared, but the overall leadership failed to maintain communication, consistency, and honesty. The failure to execute a mutually agreed plan, combined with the lack of supervision and the serious reporting lapse that led to CPS involvement, left us with deep disappointment and concern for other families who might face similar issues. We hope this feedback encourages reflection and reform. Every child deserves a safe, attentive, and developmentally supportive environment--one that not only manages behavior but nurtures curiosity, confidence, and joy in learning.
