Where do I start? This place is amazing! Here's my story:…read more I'm a bride doing a lot of my own wedding planning, and wanted to personalize a lot of the details with the same aesthetic, which was getting hard (and expensive!) on Etsy between multiple sellers. Someone suggest Blackhawk Crafting Company and long story short, we ended up hosting a whole bridal shower there and it was so much fun. The space is airy and bright and we were able to have an entire spread of snacks, cake and a mimosa bar. As for the crafts, Blackhawk worked with me to make every project I wanted totally personalized and matched perfectly to my colors and vibe... and they even helped me think about what I may need for the big day too. Plus, some of the projects I envisioned that I didn't see on their site, they actually made happen for me! My guests, who were helping to create these pieces, were a little nervous about being the ones creating some of the wedding decor, but the staff made it so easy, and even without any crafty expertise, my guest's projects looked amazing and professional! Everyone was blown away by the quality of the projects and what they themselves were capable of doing. As a matter of fact, everyone was commenting on how this whole experience had exceeded their expectation and were already making plans to come back to do other projects. The instructors I had, Ashlee and Marisa, were so friendly and personable and encouraging, and they were great at letting everyone have free reign over whatever they wanted to do, but if anyone was nervous or unsure what to do, they had great suggestions and were helpful whenever we were stuck. Can't recommend this place enough and already making plans to go back!

We have been very happy clients of Kiddo for over seven years. My eldest and youngest take piano…read morelessons and my middle child does voice and guitar. Kiddo is an establishment which prides itself in building strong foundational music education. They don't just want to show kids how to use musical instruments. Their mission runs deeper than that. They foster a profound love and appreciation of music at the fundamental level. Because of Kiddo, my children have a proper musical education which informs many parts of their lives. The front desk staff of Kiddo is so kind and professional and Miss Ashley, the owner, has selected an impressive faculty of teachers and artists who are respectful of the children and excellent at communicating with them. My middle child was born with a natural singing ability but her teachers, Miss Rudie and Miss Vicky, have helped her develop and protect her voice, ensuring she can use and enjoy it well into her later years. She has performed in competitions and recently did an open mic event at another music school and it was clear that her excellent training set her apart from the children of that school. Kiddo takes the abilities of every child seriously and gives them an enduring musical foundation. My youngest and eldest take piano lessons with Miss Fanny who is a warm and exceptionally talented teacher who has brought out the best in my kids. They also have a weekend art program which two of my children are enrolled in. It is a class they look forward to every week and never want to miss. I'm grateful Kiddo, a highly professional and substantial music and art school, exists in our community. Money and time well spent.

We absolutely love Color Me Mine at the Tyler Mall! We've been four times now, and every single…read morevisit has been such a great experience. The staff is consistently knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and genuinely kind. They make the entire experience seamless from start to finish--from helping us while we're painting, to answering questions, to communicating when our pieces are ready for pickup. They always answer the phone, they follow up, and every interaction I've had with them has been warm and helpful. One thing I especially appreciate is how gracious everyone is when we're there. I have a very energetic (okay, slightly feral ) daughter who loves to move around and fully experience EVERYTHING, and I have never once been made to feel uncomfortable, awkward, or like she is "too much." The staff is always so sweet with her and makes us both feel welcome, which means a lot to me as a mom. There's a reason we keep coming back. I genuinely enjoy everything about this location--the painting experience, the finished products, the communication, and most importantly, the people. It has become one of our favorite mommy-daughter activities, and I know we'll be back many more times!

Honestly, this turned out to be such a fun date idea with my wife! If you're looking for something…read moredifferent to do together, I'd definitely recommend giving Color Me Mine a try. Pricing starts with a $10 studio fee per person, then you pay based on the ceramic piece you choose. My wife and I ended up spending about $85 total, which we thought was reasonable for a couple of hours of entertainment and a personalized keepsake to take home. It took us over an hour to finish painting our ceramics, and we genuinely had a great time. They accept both reservations and walk-ins, but I'd highly recommend making a reservation if you're planning to go on the weekend. It gets pretty crowded, and having a reserved spot makes the experience much smoother. Whether you're planning a date night, celebrating something special, or just looking for a creative way to spend an afternoon, Color Me Mine is definitely worth checking out. We had a blast and would absolutely do it again.

I needed some stuff in a pinch and came across Urge Palette. There are few other places to compare in the area, and their online photos made the place look resourceful. Took a small drive over and I'm glad I did. Elijah was manning the fort that day. He was not only a pleasant dude, but he obviously has experience with various media, and was helping me sort out a project I'm experimenting with. Not just knowledgeable though; he was very clear with his suggestions. With price gouging being a thing nowadays, I was actually surprised I walked out of there with some high quality art paper and some chemicals for just $20. And I saw they had some nice notebooks priced really well. I'll be prioritizing this place for similar purchases while I continue to attend CSUSB.
