On our way to hike Gem Lake, we needed some food before and found this place. It was a Saturday…read more(6/21/25) and the line was to the door, but we were committed and wanted to get on the trail. Took about 15 minutes to get the order and then another 15 minutes to get it, but worth it. We got breakfast and the burrito was not too heavy to hike 4+miles on. The artwork is cool at this place, but it was small. We took it to go and my friend enjoyed his bagel and coffee.

The breakfast sandwich was good and came with exactly what I asked for in it. The best part of the experience was the service. This young woman helped me and I heard her for roughly 45 minutes while I ate. She had a great attitude, a smile on her face the entire time, and handled the fact that they were short one person like a champ. Even though they were slammed, she never changed her smile, tone, or attitude. I was very impressed. The space was eclectic with some very fun decor. The outdoor patio was unusable as people were smoking, which was disappointing. The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was due to the man making the food/drinks. I stood at the counter and watched him make drinks for at least 10 customers after me before even starting my breakfast sandwich. It was disappointing to wait through customers behind me to eat.

Team work was apparent as Austin greeted us and got us started with drinks (helping out Eric). Had to try Dale's Ale. Delicious. We then shared a bunch of appetizers. We did the Nachos with steak (cheese sauce was amazeballs and the steak was excellent), roasted beets (fantastic), fried pickles (delicious), and then Austin brought us by a plate of Hush Puppies (best Hush Puppies we have ever had). We also ordered a cup of their Gumbo to try. Incredibly tasty!! For main courses, my wife and I had the Prime Rib Dip (Delicious), my son had the Spicy Chicken Sandwich (fried-he loved it), my daughter-in-law had a burger that she loved. Loved the set up of the place. Very open and airy. Just an outstanding lunch & experience. Thank you Eric & Austin.

There is also an inside bar & dining area And another larger room in the back. The bartender Brett H. was friendly and helpful as we navigated their great beer selection of 7 Oskar Blues Beers & 6 Dale's Pale Ales (their first beer). Apps & lunches were had by all. We had Chicharonnes ($9) w/ hot sauce for dipping & Chicken Caesar salad ($16). I enjoyed their OB Mama's Little Pils ($7.25/pint). I had their very good Dale's Ale previously. We stopped in again on Sat 8/2325 after our all day visit to nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. Exploring is thirsty work. Very relaxing atmosphere for our afternoon visit. Hours: 11am-2am, much different than the other Colorado places we visited that all closed at 9pm. Highly recommended after our first visit. Thanks again to Brett H. & the rest of Oskar's staff.
