Like all Mud Bay stores, a large well stocked selection, albeit a little pricey. They had the item for my cat as the West Oly store does. We spend nearly $400 a month at MudBay to feed our fur babies. Today I go in there to pick up my special order. The total is $127.35. I hand the gal a $100 bill and tell her I'll put the $27.35 on my debit card. She replies I'm sorry we don't take $100 bills. I'm like WTF? This is America and this is a legal tender and you are telling me you won't take it. She said YEP. I then promptly told her this is my LAST visit/transaction in this store. I really enjoy this Mud Bay store because it is organized and spacious. I would come here when I'm in town to look for treats and toys to spoil my brother's puppy. The first time I came here, we took his puppy here to let her choose a treat for herself and she ran straight to the chicken finger snacks. The people that work there were so friendly and played with her while we filled up a bag of treats for her. After visiting this place, I just want to go out and buy a puppy. They fitted our pup for his ruff harness and collar and made sure to ask what kind of food we serve our dog (as we were passing through) to make sure the sample they gave wouldn't upset his stomach. Today was the first time I have been in this store... or any MudBay for that fact and it was an awesome experience. We walked in and were instantly greeted by an associate and I told her I had never been there and we just moved here so we decided to stop in and check it out, she gave us a goodie bag with a few treats for my animals to try and a thank you note for stopping in, the selection was awesome but I didn't buy anything her because I had to get back to work... the only down fall was when I went over to look at the grooming place it seemed dirty, so that was a bummer. This Mud Bay is not as great as others. The vibe is not as friendly or comfortable. However, Mud Bay is Mud May and they still have many excellent items. The staff here aren't as knowledgeable as the Westside store, so if you need advice go there. But if you know what you want to pick up this store is fine. This store is the best pet store I've been to. They have an awesome selection of toys, treats, leashes, vest, really anything you can think of, including rain coats for the dogs. The staff was always ready to help. Last Christmas I wanted to give a friend with a cat a gift, not knowing much about the cat toys I asked for help. The toy they recommended based on my description of my friend's cat was spot on. That cat loved, LOVED, that toy, it was a big hit. This is quite possibly the best pet store I've ever been to (and I've been to pet stores in four states, plus overseas). You are immediately greeted when you walk into the store, and everything is clean and organized. There is a huge selection of dog treats in bins that you can mix and match. I visited the store last week to find a new brand of dog food for my dog, who decided to be high maintenance and refuse to eat his current food. Kyle, the sales associate, took us on a short tour around the store and explained the benefits of each brand of dog food. He even showed us the raw food (and they had quite a selection). The best part about Mud Bay is that they offer you 3 FREE cans of dog food to try out (you can pick out ANY of the brands) for your dog. Obviously you should then buy the canned dog food from them afterwards. Kyle was super knowledgeable and even offered us a few samples of dry dog food.
