Raja con queso tamale plate
Bryce M.

Best local taco truck I've found. Owners and staff are wonderful. Flavorful food, great menu to explore. Great dining area. Several vegetarian(-ish?) options. My favorite is their rajas con queso chile and cheese) tamale plate! I've been dieting much of this year but this has been the treat I look forward to on my weekly cheat day :-). Should prolly be less expensive, but it's hard to argue their food isn't worth it.

Food truck set up nicely. Nice little seating area if you choose to sit out and eat. We picked up some food to go. WOW! Everything was a lot. They don't skimp on portions. We got a Cali burrito; taco combo; wet burrito and chips w guacamole. All of us chose asada for our meat. I enjoyed the tacos, though the meat was a little gristly/chewy. Not all my tacos had onion and Cilantro which was a bummer. The beans and rice were delicious. The chips and guacamole are very good. Our other two burritos were good. Nothing was like "oh my gosh" good, but it wasn't bad. The service was nice, she was taking orders and making the food. So it was a little wait. Will probably be back, but wouldn't necessarily go out of our way for it.

Friendly owner, he was very accommodating with the requests. Burrito was flavorful. Will return!! Price is also reasonable.

Mucho Corazon is a relatively new food truck that should be on everyone's radar in Auburn. The food is delicious; the family that owns it is super friendly; the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity, especially for the area. You can tell that the food is made with love and care. I was craving a torta, and so I got one with chicken tinga. The chicken cooked in chipotle was so flavorful, and the beans, cheese, and avocado in the sandwich really made the whole thing feel like a complete meal. I can put down quite a bit of food, and this large sandwich had me feeling very satisfied. My husband got the bistec with grilled onions in a combo plate. The owner's son suggested he add cheese and grilled peppers to it -- great call. The beef was delicious, but those extras really set it off. I bet that would've been fire in a torta as well. We got horchata also, and you can tell the horchata was made right. Perfectly sweet and not overly so, and the spices were on point. The only sad thing was that we almost didn't get a chance to eat here because their card reader was down today. Thankfully we found some cash in our car, but they were legit willing to serve us food anyway and just trust our honor that we'd come back again and pay. That tells me they believe in what they're selling (which they should because the food is awesome), and they are also out here grinding to make this dream happen however they can. I love everything about that. Obviously I'll be back, not just because the chicharron in salsa verde has me intrigued, but because they deserve it. I think they'd do well even in Austin, where good Mexican food is plentiful.

Best tacos and horchata I've had since moving here from California. Highly recommend.

Food is AMAZING! I'm just disappointed it took me so long to discover. Some dishes are a bit on the spicy side, but it's so worth it!

He only came here because he thought that if the tamal cost $6 then they had to be good. They were not. When I asked him where he got them and he said here, I looked it up on Yelp, who was saying they were permanently shut down. Little to no flavor. Traditional Guatemalan tamales have a slice of red bell pepper, and an olive in it, giving it more flavor but this one just had the meat and let me add that the amount of bones that were in the tamale was just absolutely unacceptable. Everyone knows that you don't put bones in tamales. The amount of times I bit into a bone or had to spit them out, made the eating process so unpleasant. I had told my husband to not come here anymore since it's so overpriced but I guess he forgot. It was just another reminder why I don't come here anymore

We ordered the churrasco chapin (grilled steak with rice, black beans, sausage and house salad) and dobladas (tortillas with beef, cabbage and onion and homemade tomato sauce). The dobladas were yummy and hefty but not too heavy. The churrasco wasn't bad, lots of food. Food comes out relatively fast and is a little more on the pricey side.

I absolutely enjoyed my time here…read more The ambiance is really great and perfect setting for all sorts of occasions. The customer service was on point and the server came to the table enough times to check on my needs but not so frequent it became bothersome. The food was delicious and I definitely recommend getting a margarita or an old fashion. There are lots of great options on the menu and I want to come back to taste my way through it.

Our table for four was near the dry-age cabinet, and honestly, seeing all that aged meat was exciting. We ordered the guacamole with fried pork belly, steak fries (two orders because they were that good), three 30-day dry-aged ribeyes (rare, medium rare, and medium), and the Salad Riviera with sliced skirt steak. The pork belly was crispy and tender, and the steaks were juicy, well seasoned, and cooked exactly as ordered. The salad had great texture and balance, though the skirt steak itself was unfortunately a bit dry. The spicy chimichurri was a standout--bright, herby, spicy, and totally addictive. I loved it with the steak and even used it on the salad. Jose was our waiter and was upbeat, attentive, and genuinely made the experience better. Tip: Try the Riesling--it's so good. Between the great steaks and service, we had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Reservations are a must on weekends, and parking in front and in the back.
