What a celiac treat! Traveling from Colorado and found Joysticks on yelp. So glad we went! The owner is really awesome and friendly. He said he designs the menu to be safe for his wife and to meet his needs for flavor. I'm the gluten intolerant one and my husband, like the owner, often eats GF for my sake but wants to be satisfied with the texture and the flavor of food. We were in heaven and wanted to try everything. Ultimately, we ordered the chicken and waffle sliders, tempura battered chicken nuggets, cheesy corn ribs, and the mac and cheese bites. All items were winners. The batter on the tempura chicken was excellent, the mac and cheese bites and chicken and waffle sliders were so great and something I typically would never be able to order, and the star of the show was the cheesy corn ribs. Wow! Whoever thought to melt cheese on corn on the cob is a flavor genius! I will never see corn on the cob the same way because of this delicious treat. My non celiac husband agreed that everything was insanely great. Aside from the incredible gluten free food options, the place itself is so fun. Putter golf, Pokémon, hot wheels, and bobble heads galore is legitimately my son's dream business. There were so many people of all ages purchasing collectibles while we were eating. I absolutely love this place. It has been so difficult to find delicious gluten-free food. Joysticks takes extra precautions, they only use air fryers and convection ovens, so there is no cross contamination. I have never gotten sick! The store is super cute. Pokémon cards, sports cards, games, Funkos, and even a mini golf course. All of the employees are super cool and knowledgeable, and the food comes out quick. read more

I am so glad that Joysticks is around and serves amazing snacks and food that can be made gluten free and are labeled clearly so. I have ordered the gnocchi, Hawaiian sliders (limited) and mac and cheese bites and each one packed my tasted with outstanding flavors. The portions may seem small but size is not a factor when you are looking for filling and delicious meal inside the mall. The inside is very spacious with plenty of seats and chairs/booths to accommodate solo or group dining. It is connect to Unlock the Con so the décor has lots of different artwork of different characters or locations from several different mediums. The lighting in here is the perfect amount of brightness to take great foodie pictures, which is great at the presentation of the food here is adorable and is themed with everything being on a stick. Their Wild Bill's drinks have been absolutely amazing and pairs well with their menu too. The owner and all co-workers that I have had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with have been very pleasant and professional. They are also dog friendly so feel free to have some food or refresh yourself with a drink or dessert while with your furry friend. Being gf means having a tough time finding a place to eat, especially visiting Washington on vacation. Me and my family went in today and were happily surprised by the food, kindness of the customer service, and being surrounded by cool collectibles!! I was so happy to find this place in the find me gf app! We tried the chicken and waffles, chicken bacon ranch flatbread pizza, and the mozzarella sticks. All were delish. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, this place is wonderful!!! The staff are super friendly, the food is out of this world, the atmosphere is crazy fun, and it's celiac safe with only a couple menu items that can't be made gluten free! They have video games to play, a small mini golf area, all kinds of toys, games, comic books, and a whole section for Pokémon cards. Very fun and unique experience. It has a lot of personality, and is an enjoyable place to eat. I had the burger and chips. I had ranch, ketchup, and mustard ready to go, but after taking my first bites, I returned it all and ate it as is. The burger was juicy, the meat size was great. The bread was amazing as well. This is such a unique idea for a food truck! Everything is on a stick! Something else unique about this food truck is that it's inside a store in the mall! There is a good selection on the menu. I chose the gnocchi with caprese. The pesto on the gnocchi is tasty but the winner for me was the caprese! It is delicious and I could have a dish of just those! Love going here! Mostly Gluten free but you wouldn't know by the taste! Perfect for on the go food. I almost always get the chicken and waffles and dip my chips in syrup. For other gluten free peeps out there owner explained dedicated gluten free cooking spaces wears new gloves made me feel super safe. No headache or other issues after. This is SO GREAT to see and I know folks who aren't gluten free won't be disappointed. I had the chicken and waffle sliders and the balance of sweet and savory was fantastic. The owner was incredibly nice and talked me through the safety precautions and most importantly the reason behind offering GF choices, because his wife had so many bad experiences just trying to eat safely. I understand that frustration; I don't even need anything complex but you'd be surprised how many places don't offer safe choices or even care about food allergies! Knowing it's safe to eat there is amazing. The ambiance is fun too, being right inside the unlock the con experience. They accept Apple Pay which is a bonus, and they have canned and bottled drinks, too (soda and water). I'm already looking forward to my next visit! I may a bit biased, as I own the store that this Food Truck is located in but, Joysticks is completely independent & earns all of the praise they receive! As someone that requires a gluten free diet, it's very hard to get decent food (especially in a mall setting) that tastes great & at a great price! Joysticks checks all the boxes!
