I pay attention to everything from the waiting room layout to prices and services. I loved my experience at Blairs Ferry Automotive. Their prices were more than fair. I got a tire rotation and oil change on Groupon, and while I was in, they pointed out the old lug nuts and bald tire (a previous mechanic had charged me for two tires, but only replaced one.) They never spoke down to me and gave me a good price on a new tire. They were quick, responsive, and at the end pointed out a few other things that could easily be fixed. When I told them to go ahead and do it, they let me know cheaper and easier ways to fix the parts if I didn't want to go with them replacing them. Additionally, the waiting room was clean and well-stocked. A majority of the clients I saw while there were women, and each were given the same type of treatment. I often leave a shop knowing I won't be back, but this time I left certain I'd recommend this place to others.

The outside and inside of this location is very clean and bright not like other dark and dirty service locations. I only needed to wait a short time for others in front of me to be serviced. Once I talked to someone we discussed different options available to me and I felt I was not being forced to pay for the higher priced oil. We discussed the differences and I was able to make an educated decision. The service time was reasonable for the oil change about 30-45 minutes as expected and less than I have waited in the past at other locations. And it allowed me to have a couple frosted beverages at 30 hop on the other side of the parking lot. :) When I returned shortly before my service was done I was the only one in the entrance. I was quickly & cheerfully greeted by the Service Manager Kevin and he apologized for not meeting me earlier because he was with another customer. He mentioned that he was finishing up some research into some of the concerns the technician found with my vehicle. He showed me pictures and later provided me with prices and service times for each item. I was provided with email receipts and future service items along with the inspection details of everything from tire pressure to air filter quality. I would feel comfortable recommending this location to anyone who has very limited automotive knowledge. I do not think they would take advantage of anyone. They will show you what needs fixed before they repair it, so you make the final decision. They will be honest about what needs to be done NOW, vs. what can wait. The crew is meticulous and efficient. If any error is made on their part (which is extremely rare in my case), they will own up to it and fix it. I am basing my review on routine maintenance performed. (Fortunately, I haven't needed any major…read morework since moving to the area.) The staff was friendly and helpful during my call to schedule service and on the day of service. I didn't have to wait long during the service. This is all good, but probably true of many places. What set this service apart from other good automotive service I've had was the Vehicle Inspection Report I received. I got a text with a link to the report. It was like other reports I've received when getting vehicles serviced - a multi-point inspection with color-coded indicators of the status of each item . . . with pictures! I could see the air filters, the fluid checks, and the corrosion on my battery terminals (which made me feel more comfortable authorizing a little extra work). Maybe this is the future, but it was a first for me. Very helpful! My only slight disappointment is that I prefer to wait during service, and this option is usually reserved for early morning or early afternoon. It would be nice to have a little more scheduling flexibility, so I give John's 4.5 stars, (rounded up)!

Upon taking it in, it was a routine check in/drop off procedure. They got back to me the same day, but here's where they won me over. My repair was fully covered under Jeep warranty, so taking it to the dealer would cost $0. Al, who advised me of my options said I could just go get it fixed free at the dealer (which he communicated to them before I went). The point is that these guys could have easily gone the "shady auto shop" route and charged me for something the warranty covered, but instead these guys were honest. My car is fixed, and these guys saved me $600. Will definitely recommend them
