They can probably use the cash. I routinely overtip. I care about them and their survival that much. Makes me crazy when I see people dump a couple of quarters in the cup. If you can't afford it, obviously, then tip what you can. But if you can afford to give more, at least 20 percent, you should try.

Music is not too loud, and perfect for working. Staff here are chatty and friendly, and are super helpful, even coming around to me as I was sitting down to ask if I had the wi-fi info yet. There are a few outlets along the wall, so you should be able to get a charge as long as you have a long enough charger. While food and drink is great here, think the seating is a bit of a restriction, as it seems like I got a seat only by luck. But catch me stopping by again off-peak hours for a solid work session!

The rounder was denser than I prefer, but still fresh and loaded with roasted garlic nubs and almost chunky veggies in the homemade spread. The menu offered breakfast and lunch sandwiches and standards like nova lox cut to order and traditional American fare like bacon, sausage or pork roll on bagel of choice. If I find myself in the neighborhood some morning I would be tempted to check them out. 3.5 STARS

When we walked in it was warm as if no AC and dark and dingy. The bagel baskets were almost empty and it was only 10am so I asked if they baked every day to which the owner replied yes but that today they weren't baking any more. I found this odd because it was so early and the baskets were so empty and they do have a lunch menu. Ok so we proceeded to order. My son got a chicken salad sandwich on an everything bagel and I was interested in the whitefish because it said they made their own "chunky" whitefish salad so I asked to see it. He showed my a container and it looked chunky and good so I ordered it. We also got 1/2 dozen bagels for my son to go, small chocolate milk and a container of garlic and herb cream cheese. The bill came to $53! I questioned the $2.49 price per bagel and was told he had employees to pay "sometimes" and benefits etc. (He was the only one there and the place was empty) When I left and opened my bagel with "chunky" whitefish it was the worst sandwich ever! The bagel was far from fresh, very dense and dry and there was the smallest spread of whitefish on it and not one"chunk" of fish! It was like a bait and switch and so disappointing! I felt so ripped off by everything and the owner's excuse on the astronomical pricing was the icing (I'm also used to NY bagel pricing and he's even higher with what seems very little overhead) I would never go back and do not recommend this place for anyone!
