amour latte
Alana J.

I've gone to the previous location in Chestnut Hill, and this location is much bigger. It was easy to go inside and get a table right away and there is plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor. The food was very good - I got an amour latte and quiche lorraine. Both of these were amazing. The server accidentally brought my friend the wrong dish, but quickly remedied the situation once notified, so not a big deal. I will definitely be returning!

Definitely among the go-to coffee and lunch places when in Chestnut Hill. I only had a coffee, which was good, but the pastries on display looked excellent even just before closing time. They instituted a new cafe service policy on 1/1/26, which I didn't quite understand. I think you only get table service for certain parties with reservations or something, but that didn't concern us. Nevertheless, a server came by our table not just once, but twice, to fill water glasses for us. Will be back!

I…read moreoriginally came across this spot on social media and was intrigued by their massive chicken cutlet sandwiches and wings. The restaurant itself is pretty tiny, with only two small tables for seating. Luckily, there was only one other customer when I arrived, so I was able to grab a seat. The interior has a subtle Star Wars theme, but nothing too extravagant in terms of decorations. Ordering is done by scanning a QR code and placing your order online. I decided to try the Vodka Pesto Rebel sandwich. It took about 15-20 minutes for my food to come out, which was a little longer than I expected considering there was only one other customer ahead of me. When the sandwich finally arrived, I was shocked by how HUGE it was! It genuinely felt like it weighed close to two pounds. The sandwich was absolutely packed with crispy chicken cutlet, which I loved. The inside of the sesame bun was coated with a garlic pesto spread, giving it an almost garlic bread-like flavor. The marinara sauce had a nice tanginess to it, and all the flavors complemented each other really well. The portion size was incredibly generous, and I ended up eating the sandwich over the course of two meals. For the amount of food you get, it's definitely worth the price! Despite the slightly longer wait, I was really impressed with the sandwich and would absolutely come back to try more of their menu.

Love that they have a variety of pizzas by the slice in person - very generous portions and priced right too! I've ordered both cheesesteaks and hoagies for delivery and they've been great! Not sure the cheesesteak is the *best* I've ever had but still very yummy! DO NOT SLEEP ON THE HOAGIES! They are INSANE! The Old School Italian is freaking MASSIVE with good quality meats and man do I love their chunky pickles! That's gotta be my favorite thing I've gotten from there, and I've gotten it several times. Need to try more things off their menu lol. Their GrubHub ordering has been screwed up from the start, I actually messaged them about it and they attempted to fix it but it's still a mess. Ordering directly from their website is easy but they charge a $6(!) delivery fee which seems excessive. Def happy to have this spot in Manayunk!

The upcharge is steep (~$4-5 Nov 2025), but the hoagie length is like the size of a forearm! What's better is that they also stuff the sandwiches to the brim, where the filling starts to spill out. The food is delicious. And most of the menu hits when you're craving greasy quick and filling food. Service is quick and timely. Ordering online is nice to build loyalty points and easy to customize orders. But the online fees - credit card & website charge, even when it's directly from their website, are high. The shop is on the corner of a street in Manayunk, so parking can be difficult or expensive. There is very limited seating. A few high tables along the window and high top chairs, nothing too comfortable. Carry out or takeout is recommended. I'll still come back, esp for their gluten friendly hoagie bun!! But in its multiple locations its definitely evolved from the tiny corner store that's a beer and sandwich haven, to several places that deliver the same in a much larger package. But when it comes down to both deli counter and beer selection, the Roxborough location might just be my favorite, and not just because it also let me scoop out some popcorn to go during non-Covid-19 times. Even in the slightly larger NoLibs location, past Foodery locations have boldly crammed specialty groceries, a deli counter, and fridges stocked with ALL THE BEERS into some seriously crammed situations. But that isn't a problem in this one which is by far the largest I've seen (without setting foot in the Phoenixville one yet). Because of that everything is placed in areas that make sense while also tossing in things like a section for large bottles, ALL THE SNACKS, and an impressive growler fill station. My favorite sandwich is definitely the Diablo with its buffalo chicken, pepper jack cheese, avocado, and chipotle mayo that delivers a spicy kick that doesn't border on overkill. But I've also enjoyed the Hot Toastee with its tavern ham, swiss cheese, honey mustard, apple, and pecans on a toasted sourdough. The main event by far is the epic beer coolers, and whether you're looking for hard to find imports, well-liked local brews, noteworthy seasonal brews, ciders and seltzers, hoppy beers, chocolate stouts, or other, you're bound to find it!

More importantly, their wide selection of beers has not been impacted by any supply chain issues. As such, its hard not to like The Foodery! If you are looking for a beer, they probably have it. Upon arrival, the setup seemed to be exactly as advertised. Bar and high-top seating in the front with coolers full of every type of beer in the back. We were excited to try the menu, and the bartender was very helpful describing the fare. He sold us on a berry & blue cheese salad, and we also tried the CLT, tuna salad and grilled cheese sandwich. First, the not-so-good: the berry salad ($8.50) contained no berries. It was spring mix, carrots, onions, tomatoes and candies nuts. It was supposed to come with an organic dressing that the bartender said was delicious. We will have to take his word for it, because ours was not dressed. It was also extremely small. So small, in fact, that I'm sure there was a miscommunication between the bartender and the kitchen. Next up, the grilled cheese. We ordered it with cheddar & tomatoes, but they added avocado. That was great for us, but maybe not so great if you don't care for avocado. It also wasn't grilled, but instead put on a panini press. The problem with this is that it wasn't in the press nearly long enough. The cheese wasn't melted, not even close. Next up, the tuna. Solid. No complaints about this one, but nothing to make me want to do backflips. Would definitely order again. Finally, the CLT. This was the best of the bunch. Very tasty & a must-try. All of the sandwiches came with kettle chips, but you can sub a side salad for a couple of bucks. Nothing to complain about on the beer front. 16 taps and dozens of bottles available. They also sell growlers & will fill your growler as well. I wanted to leave a raving 5-star review, but the food definitely has some room for improvement. For now, I'm calling it 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 because I want them to succeed. I'll definitely be back to The Foodery, and I hope to be updating this review with some comments on their improvements.

I bookmarked this place intending to come back, but in a week in Manayunk we barely scratched the surface of all the culinary delights and didn't repeat. I love the way their menu clearly delineates gluten free items and those for which there is no gluten-free option.
