As an interior design firm, we could not be any more disappointed with MSI and we could never recommend this company to clients or colleagues. Recently, after our client made a slab purchase, paid in full, we were informed several days later that the slabs were sold to another MSI customer. After complaining to management and the most unhelpful sales rep (Andrew) at their Sun Valley location, we were told that this is their policy. Basically, they only value their clients who are making larger purchases, so our client's slabs were sold to them. Because of this, as well as past poor and unprofessional service, I could never recommend this company and urge potential customers to shop elsewhere. read more

We remodeled our kitchen and are so happy we used MSI. We purchased Quartz countertops, mosaic backsplash and Luxury Vinyl flooring. Gina and Dharms were amazing to work with and treated us so well. They helped me throughout the process and made it easy to pick what I wanted. I shopped at a few places prior and had a horrible experience. I highly recommend MSI. read more

Our travel from Bakersfield to visit MSI to find granite for our upcoming kitchen renovation was worthwhile. The selection in the warehouse and customer service was excellent. Thanks to Juan Vallejo for helping us navigate and narrow our discission! read more

Ordered tile for two bathroom remodels from a storefront in Glendale and this people gave me the wrong color, which I had seen at Home Depot for 1/2 the price of what I paid. Because I had my contractor pick up the tile and didn't see it until it had been laid down on the floor I was stuck with it for the first bathroom (it would have cost me two extra days of labor and delayed my project to remove it and replace it). I had to purchase different color contrasting tiles to match the wrong product, another extra hassle for me. According to Ajemco, the storefront I ordered the tile from, this company refused to make any type of price adjustment on the wrong tile or even to bring the right tile and pick up the wrong one. I ended up paying $3.79 per sf for a tile that was $1.69 a sf at Home Depot. Because I had purchased enough tile for two bathrooms, MSI agreed to exchange the tile I had left over for the correct color and I had to rent a U-Haul truck today and hire a couple of guys at $25 an hour to load and unload the tile to exchange it. Ajemco gave us a price adjustment on their own in the interest of good customer relations but it sure didn't cover all the extra expense nor the inconvenience and hassle I went through. MSI made a horrible impression on this customer. I'm uploading a picture showing the difference between what I ordered and what they gave me. read more

I recently bought countertops from MSI and unfortunately 1 of the prefab came off white color and when I asked them to change it but they rejected and they said this is a big company and the owner dosent care. I had to spend additional $500 to get the new prefab. I will not recommend this place for someone who has no exprerience since they can litteraley screw you with no excuses. read more

MSI - Here is how i got screwed from MSI. They sold me crap and rejected to change. - Flooring Near Me - Sun Valley, California

I get it. You "only work with contractors." Well, customers have to go and choose what they want installed. And some of these customers might be part of an HOA. ‍ You are burning yourself from potential customers when you show such callous disregard for anyone coming in and needing help. And don't tell customers to drive to Orange County if they need help. Silliness. read more

Aside from the assortment of slabs, their customer service has been grand. Particular shout out to Alejandro! He welcomed us in at the front in a friendly and professional manner. He took the time to walk us through the showroom, picking samples, explaining the differences in stone quality (hardness/softness/man made/natural). He really elevated our visit and made it a positive one, where one can easily become overwhelmed or lost among the rows of choices. We truly appreciated his service and it's apparent that he is a valuable employee. read more

I love love MSI Sunland... Its a small showroom but have everything.. I rather come here than going down to Anaheim. But just remember its a wholesale place which we all know in the industry you will need contractor license to buy. They sell quality stuff and they have their stock ready to go. Staffs are amazing.. all super friendly, from sales, customer services to warehouse... all of them are great!! read more

They are a waste of time. They won't discuss any prices so you have to go and pick out what you might want and then tell your contractor who then has to do a ton of legwork to get pricing. Why would I buy something without knowing what the price is? I didn't get to be a successful human, property owner, etc by wasting my time, energy, and money. Had a way better customer experience with Royal Stone in West LA. read more

Excellent! From the moment we walked into the door. We were greeted by friendly helpful staff. We met with Sean Alford, he is so knowledgeable with tile. He has a great sense of color and what flows together. He is personable and so easy to work with. Ask for him, you will be so pleased! MSI has an incredible inventory. read more

We had a very specific and very small job that ended up happening in two parts. With stone, this can be disastrous because the stone is different from lot to lot. Oscar, at MSI took great personal care of us and made sure that the color and texture of the new stone matched that of the stone before it. Taking that kind of personal care is rare in this day and age. read more

I do not understand why so many people gave 1 star as MSI only deals with contractors. it is a wholesale place and they are very clear about that at the front. You can still go and choose as long as you have a contractor and give them that information. Anyway, i was told by several contractors that this is the biggest supplier on the west coast and I went. There is definitely great selection and i got to see some exceptional nature stone. Maria has been super helpful to walk us through and showed us the most beautiful granite that I have ever seen (I guess the price for that one must be very high but it is always good to look at and know something like that exists). After we made our choices, we found the existing inventory in this place has been sold out. Maria went through the trouble to find them in other places and reserve them for us. We have not gone through the delivery part yet but i do really enjoy the service so far. I will update as we go through this in the next month. read more

My contractor recommended multiple places for me to check out quartz countertop selections. I went to two other places first and started to feel discouraged because the folks at the other place were unhelpful and selections were slim. Additionally, the people who worked there didn't even acknowledge me. So when I walked into MSI, I was blown away by the enormous selection, and most importantly, the customer service. The woman who assisted me was fantastic. Walked me through everyone, explained the differences, costs, etc. I am pretty particular about style and color and she was patient with me despite all of my questions. I never felt rushed or unwelcome. In the end, when I found what I liked, she provided me with a sample so that I could take it with me to place in my kitchen to make sure I liked it. And sure enough, I did!! My contractor was able to order the slab and pick up immediately!!! Don't bother going elsewhere - check out MSI! read more

As a home owner I visited few other places such as Arizona tile and Bedrosians before I came to see MSI's showroom in Sun Valley. I was very impressed with the selection that MSI had to offer. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable about the products I am interested in. The showroom is nicely organized and the slab gallery had more than enough colors for me to choose from. Even the guys in the back were kind enough to move some slabs for me to view. I was told to contact my contractor to choose the colors that I wanted and he can purchase and pick up as needed for my project. MSI made it fun and easy for product selection as well as confirming the stock available. Andrew at MSI has been the silver lining in the purchase, delivery, and especially follow up with slate ledger and tile. I had asked my local distributor to get me some samples from MSI, but they never did. I finally got tired of being blown off and decided to drive all the way to Sunland to see the showroom. It was well worth the drive. I found a lot of great products, and everyone was very helpful. Maria was great at answering my questions and getting me the samples I wanted. Benedict and a tall guy (whose name I didn't catch) were also very helpful and answered my many questions. I was also impressed with the designer tools that let you see how the stones will look in your bath, kitchen, etc. It's all on their website, and Maria walked me through the process. I'm glad I came, because there's nothing like seeing the products in person. Plus I found a lot of things I didn't see in their catalogs. read more

I am a contractor and MSI is absolutely the worst supply house we have ever had the misfortune of doing business with! Bedrosian, Emser Tile and Arizona are FAR SUPERIOR to this place. A client somehow found a quartz from them that she had her heart set on. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with these people that do not care about you and your home. Their products are vastly inferior with the other reputable wholesalers in So Cal. Beware...stay away! read more

I had originally given 5 stars, but I have to update my review due to the what happened after We selected our piece of quartz, had it marked with our name on it, and paid for it. We told Maria we would need for them to hold our countertop for a few weeks, and our installer would pick it up once we were to the point in our remodel that we were ready for it. When our installer went to pick it up, it wasn't there and had been sold to someone else. They tried to give our installer another piece of quartz that was defective with seams that were peeling, so he refused it. United wholesale flooring (who sent us to MSI) has gone to bat for us and it trying to get this situation resolved, but it has caused a delay in our remodel. Needless to say we're disappointed at best, and wish we had used another distributor. My husband and I were sent by United Flooring to pick out a prefabricated quarts countertop. Our sales person Maria made the process so much easier than it could have been. We could have been overwhelmed by so many choices, but Maria stayed with us, guided us to where we needed to be; and was so professional. read more

Customer service is the worst. They don't like working with individuals. They want to deal with contractors only, not even the installer. They will not give you prices. They will not let you select the slabs you are purchasing through your contractor And they will waste your time. They are a wholesaler pretending to be a retailer. They are dishonest. Unless you are a contractor then don't come here. The savings aren't worth the aggravation. I wish I could give them negative stars. They suck. read more

Love the showroom really organized and clean. According to some people I was informed that they do sell to public but that's a lie according to the person in front of the desk. I'm giving a one star because the people that welcome you and help you in the entrance were really rude. First time there so I don't even know the place or what is that building about. I told them that it was my first time there and they told me to sign in but in a really rude way. Really unprofessional. I saw what I was looking for and that person couldn't help me with my questions only because I was consider public. I did understand that part but why say it in a rude way. They need to hire people that love working front desk and welcome you the right way and learn how to answer politely read more

I must say that this was the most impressive visit I have ever made to choose a slab. I have never seen variety like this anywhere. Very slow service to load up items such as slabs or prefab!!! And usually a mess to look around for slabs as well!! Very disappointed

I tried to get information about Alaska Gray Ledger Stone Panels and the person I talked to was rather rude and had absolutely no practical knowledge of their product. On the recommendation of our contractor, I went in with my mother today to browse their slab yard for some potential materials for her kitchen remodel. In the past, our family's construction experiences have been arduous to say the least. So I was blown away by the attentive and hands-on service from the staff here. We were guided by a youthful yet very knowledgable lady named Valeria. My mother can be pretty indecisive, but Valeria was infinitely patient, courteous and professional which we appreciated very much. The selection was amazing and we were able to find what we were looking for in one trip. Can't recommend MSI highly enough. read more
