They are a waste of time. They won't discuss any prices so you have to go and pick out what you might want and then tell your contractor who then has to do a ton of legwork to get pricing. Why would I buy something without knowing what the price is? I didn't get to be a successful human, property owner, etc by wasting my time, energy, and money. Ordered tile for two bathroom remodels from a storefront in Glendale and this people gave me the wrong color, which I had seen at Home Depot for 1/2 the price of what I paid. Because I had my contractor pick up the tile and didn't see it until it had been laid down on the floor I was stuck with it for the first bathroom (it would have cost me two extra days of labor and delayed my project to remove it and replace it). I had to purchase different color contrasting tiles to match the wrong product, another extra hassle for me. According to Ajemco, the storefront I ordered the tile from, this company refused to make any type of price adjustment on the wrong tile or even to bring the right tile and pick up the wrong one. I ended up paying $3.79 per sf for a tile that was $1.69 a sf at Home Depot. Because I had purchased enough tile for two bathrooms, MSI agreed to exchange the tile I had left over for the correct color and I had to rent a U-Haul truck today and hire a couple of guys at $25 an hour to load and unload the tile to exchange it. Ajemco gave us a price adjustment on their own in the interest of good customer relations but it sure didn't cover all the extra expense nor the inconvenience and hassle I went through. I recently bought countertops from MSI and unfortunately 1 of the prefab came off white color and when I asked them to change it but they rejected and they said this is a big company and the owner dosent care. I went to two other places first and started to feel discouraged because the folks at the other place were unhelpful and selections were slim. Additionally, the people who worked there didn't even acknowledge me. So when I walked into MSI, I was blown away by the enormous selection, and most importantly, the customer service. The woman who assisted me was fantastic. Walked me through everyone, explained the differences, costs, etc. I am pretty particular about style and color and she was patient with me despite all of my questions. I never felt rushed or unwelcome. In the end, when I found what I liked, she provided me with a sample so that I could take it with me to place in my kitchen to make sure I liked it. We had a very specific and very small job that ended up happening in two parts. With stone, this can be disastrous because the stone is different from lot to lot. Oscar, at MSI took great personal care of us and made sure that the color and texture of the new stone matched that of the stone before it. I do not understand why so many people gave 1 star as MSI only deals with contractors. it is a wholesale place and they are very clear about that at the front. You can still go and choose as long as you have a contractor and give them that information. Anyway, i was told by several contractors that this is the biggest supplier on the west coast and I went. There is definitely great selection and i got to see some exceptional nature stone. Maria has been super helpful to walk us through and showed us the most beautiful granite that I have ever seen (I guess the price for that one must be very high but it is always good to look at and know something like that exists). After we made our choices, we found the existing inventory in this place has been sold out. Maria went through the trouble to find them in other places and reserve them for us. We have not gone through the delivery part yet but i do really enjoy the service so far. I will update as we go through this in the next month. read more

The ladies at the front desk were very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable about the products I am interested in. The showroom is nicely organized and the slab gallery had more than enough colors for me to choose from. Even the guys in the back were kind enough to move some slabs for me to view. I was told to contact my contractor to choose the colors that I wanted and he can purchase and pick up as needed for my project. I had asked my local distributor to get me some samples from MSI, but they never did. I finally got tired of being blown off and decided to drive all the way to Sunland to see the showroom. It was well worth the drive. I found a lot of great products, and everyone was very helpful. Maria was great at answering my questions and getting me the samples I wanted. Benedict and a tall guy (whose name I didn't catch) were also very helpful and answered my many questions. I was also impressed with the designer tools that let you see how the stones will look in your bath, kitchen, etc. It's all on their website, and Maria walked me through the process. I had originally given 5 stars, but I have to update my review due to the what happened after We selected our piece of quartz, had it marked with our name on it, and paid for it. We told Maria we would need for them to hold our countertop for a few weeks, and our installer would pick it up once we were to the point in our remodel that we were ready for it. When our installer went to pick it up, it wasn't there and had been sold to someone else. They tried to give our installer another piece of quartz that was defective with seams that were peeling, so he refused it. United wholesale flooring (who sent us to MSI) has gone to bat for us and it trying to get this situation resolved, but it has caused a delay in our remodel. Needless to say we're disappointed at best, and wish we had used another distributor. My husband and I were sent by United Flooring to pick out a prefabricated quarts countertop. Our sales person Maria made the process so much easier than it could have been.
