I really do like this place, but my concerns seem to increase with every visit. I consider myself a regular customer so despite their error I still come back but lately and by lately I mean 3 days in a row my order has either been wrong, missing something or just plain nasty. I order one of the cinnamon rolls with icing and I requested a soft one because the day prior I could hardly cut into it. This morning they have me one with lots of cream and I was like OK -- but then when k get to work to actually sit down and eat the cinnamon roll was HARD and I could cut through it or all the cream. This location is TRASH! I went in to order two chicken biscuits and first off the cashier was acted like she had an attitude that I was patronizing the place. She leaves from the cash register after taking my money and proceeds to go to the kitchen to prepare my food WITHOUT washing her nasty hands and putting on sanitation gloves. I immediately call her back over to the cash register for a refund of my money. She asks why and I tell her and she alerts the "manager" who was standing directly behind her. I haven't had Mrs. Winner's since I was a kid, so I thought I'd treat myself to nostalgia by getting some breakfast. The nostalgia ended as I walked in the door. The grits and eggs had nobody's flavor, gave you two pieces of bacon (I was expecting a little more because it was a bacon platter), and the biscuits were not all that big. What really did for me was when I asked for a top for my cup (when I really should have told the guy he needed to restock) and he nonchalantly told me "they dey go" and went back to doing what he was doing. It took his boss and maybe my facial expression to restock the tops. All of this cost me $6.40 with drink added. The inside was unkempt and it looked like the condiment "isle" hasn't been restocked also. You're better off making breakfast at home, even if you can't cook. On Friday, November 13, 2020. I went into this location just to buy 1 dozen of buttered biscuits. What I got was some of the smallest over baked, burnt on the bottom biscuits you could imagine. The wait time, 45 minutes. This place has really gone down into the dump as far as biscuits. They had some of the best biscuits when I was a teen. I didn't buy any chicken so I can't speak on that. This restaurant NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. I think it's because they know customers are calling to complain about an order that they've screwed up. Because I was running behind due to traffic, I didn't check my order before leaving the parking lot trying to get to the train station to get to work on time. When I arrived at work, ready to eat my food that I just purchased, it wasn't what I ordered. I ordered a cinnamon swirl and they gave me a damn biscuit with gravy (eeewwwwww). When I sat my bag on the desk, I was wondering why it was wet/soaked and I opened the bag and the gravy from inside the box had leaked on the box and into the bag. I have attempted to call them 9 times since arriving at work @8:20am this morning. It is now 12 noon. Still NO ANSWER! I'm calling the number that is printed on my receipt of 404-835-27214. So now I'm pissed because I don't have any food to eat for breakfast and I have to go and spend even more money on breakfast because they screwed up my order. I came here because I haven't had Mrs. Winners in a long time because there aren't any close to me, and I was craving the chicken. I should have known better than to go to some ghetto crap on Glenwood! There was a long drive-thru line wrapped around the building so I parked my car, and went inside. The first sight to greet me was a group of homeless dude sitting at the table by the door, hoping to ask people to buy them food, which I would have if it weren't for the next scene to greet me: a customer cussing out an employee behind the counter. The line inside wasn't long but there were lots of people sitting around waiting for their orders, which looked as though they've been waiting for a while. What little chicken under the heat looked over cooked and dinky, and it was just as cold inside as it was outside. I was done when I glanced over at the 83 score on the wall (I don't do less than 95). I walked out without buying anything and took my behind over to Popeyes on Lavista where I should have gone in the first place, and had a pleasant experience compared (99 score) to this nightmare. His place needs to be evacuated, blown up, and a tree planted in its place. read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE LOCATION ON HEADLAND NOT GLENWOOD! I didn't actually go to this location, but the one on Headland is not on Yelp. I really like Mrs Winner's, grew up on this franchise chicken spot as a kid. I love Mrs Winner's but what I don't like is the fact when you get the potato wedges they give you like 4 or 5, that use to not be the case. Now once again I was not at this Glenwood location,but the East Point one on Headland and they only give that many. Also while I was in there someone was ordering a sandwich and they asked if they wanted it on a biscuit b/c they were out of buns! Really!? And I heard another worker say they didn't have corn.. Im like why do you all not have certain things, I may can see the corn, but no bun during lunch rush... Unexceptable! I must say they were nice and worked as fast as they could although the inside seemed a lil chaotic and unorganized, but still got the orders right. The drive thru seemed to move faster than I initially thought that's why I went inside, I was the next person in line and it seemed like I was the 10th person in line. I visited the location on Glenwood Rd in Decatur. This was my first time revisiting the business in 8 years. I placed my order in the drive thru. Once at the window, the cashier (T.) repeated my order partially. I reminded her of the two individual items I ordered also, with an irritated response she stated the exact order I placed. I waited a total of 15 minutes in the drive thru. I don't mind waiting as long as my food is hot and fresh. I received my order and slightly glanced into the bag and left. Half way down the road I realized that I didn't see one of the individual items I purchased. I had to go back and get it (annoyed by now because that is the exact reason I REMINDED her of my entire order). I will say that the chicken was hot and fresh. It's definitely not what I remembered loving about the restaurant. The sides were ALL disgusting. The mac and cheese seemed undercooked. The green beans overly seasoned with LEMON PEPPER (what!), the biscuit was soggy and the potato wedges were just ok. I will never visit another Mrs. Winner's again.
