Soft, buttery, chewy, rich, decadent cookies, brownies and large cookie cakes! Service has been alright, it's super nostalgic to eat these. Growing up my parents would buy me several cookies and a creamy hot chocolate. It's like tasting childhood ! It's usually not crowded, the smell is enticing of those soft baked cookies. They have a doughy texture, underbaked as I prefer! The brownies are so fudge and dense! Super thick and loaded with chocolate chips and walnuts. The con: very overpriced. For like 5 cookies it was $14 plus tax. Keep in mind these cookies are about palm sized, not enormous. After eating them you want more. They are addictive. I usually only get to Mrs. Fields about once every 3 years - they closed the one in the Topanga Westfield Mall recently so the nearest one to me now is Northridge. Yeah, the cookies are pricey now, $4.27 including tax, but if you buy in multiples of 3, you get some free ones. And if you buy by the dozen, the cost will drop. They're about the only cookie chain in malls anymore, Toll House and some of the others are pretty well gone. I'm glad there's still one last location nearby! It seems to be a trend for a lot of chain restaurants actually. read more

I've always been disappointed by the texture, thinness and excessive softness of Field's chocolate chip cookies. They're more like the grocery market premade type you break apart and cook at home. And naturally while they make a yucky oatmeal raisin cookie not my absolute favorite - oatmeal walnut chocolate chip. These are very expensive cookies! read more

Mrs. Fields cookie cakes have been my must have for my birthdays for years and years. They're absolutely amazing. If you haven't had one, just trust me and get one next chance you have. However, I find that their regular cookies just have way too many preservatives. They just have this texture that I just don't like. The cookies just feel artificial. There is no crunch or snap to them at all. They're super soft but not like a gooey soft. If that's what you're into, then great. But if you want more of a crunchy cookie, they're not going to be able to help you out here. read more

This morning I called Mrs. fields in Northridge to order a cake for my daughter's 16th birthday. It was a little bit of a miscommunication with the person who I spoke to although he did try hard. He didn't ask questions like, How many people will this be for? Not much guidance, but I feel that everybody can be trained, and he was very polite and pleasant. When I went to pick up the cake, Emily was there and she was absolutely amazing. She made everything right, she helped out and gave amazing customer service. She has the makings of a Manager, and I hope the company truly appreciates her as an employee read more

Stopped by yesterday and got a few nibblers (The small little size cookies). 3 sugar and cinnamon..2 white macademia nut and 1 oatmeal raisen. There was only 1 girl working there....she was busy making items (looked like a huge cookie cake) and was also helping customers. There isn't a menu posted...so I was getting ready to ask O girl what the prices were....when I noticed a lil ass piece of paper taped to the far right hand wall with the prices listed 8(....wierd. I've been coming here for years. I've bought so many cakes here. This one time the cake came out stale so I called and they said to return it for a new one. When I get there the manager would not give me a new one because they claimed my cake was still fresh and not stale. What a shame. They acted that's how the cake suppose to be. Stopped by Mrs. Fields to fill a 10 year old craving. 1st - I hate malls, dislike parking, crowds, the prices, size of mall, etc. 2nd - I remembered Mrs. Fields being pretty darn good. What happened? 12 nibblers for 6.99. Jeezo. Cookies tasted like cookie dough. Can someone please explain the baking process? I stopped by this morning and grabbed 2 cookies and a diet coke to go. The semi-sweet chocolate chip cookie was the grossest thing I ever had the misfortune of putting in my mouth. It was flat, limp, fell right apart and was so greasy that the bag was soaked through in 1 minute. It left my mouth and lips so greasy that when I got home I had to wash my mouth out with warm water! If you love cookies like me, it's hard to resist walking by this place without wanting to buy a delicious cookie. They smell so good. The brownies are good as well. I think its way too rich for just one person to eat in one sitting. It's good for sharing or for saving for later with a nice glass of milk. The cookies cakes are great. I haven't actually ordered one in a while. People tend to prefer actual cakes for their birthdays. Plus, if there's any leftovers at my house, I will eat it ALL. So can't have that for the sake of my waistline. They used to sell bags of "yesterday's" cookies, but it seems like they don't do that anymore or they sell out quickly. I'm hoping they sell out quickly or the employees take them home versus keeping them on the shelf until they're purchased to save some money. No one likes stale cookies. read more

Located on the second floor of the Northridge Mall around where Men's Macy's is. The guy helping us out was totally rude and looked like he was beyond pissed off and it was our fault or something. I have a feeling he's the owner or manager or something, but no owner/manager should ever be that rude to their customers especially since we came in already knowing what we wanted. Besides their terrible customer service, their nibblers were really good and so was their double fudge brownie. Definitely on the pricey side, but I would say it's worth it since the nibblers are nice and soft and remained that way into the next day. read more

Their cookies are amazing, but I had trouble with one of the workers. I called in an order for pickup and when I got there.... they said that one of the ladies placed my order for the wrong day, that was really messed up... !! TIP: triple check that the phone operator gets the right date !! But luckily I arrived there early and gave the girls a heads up. They made my cookie cake within 30 mins and it was made perfectly. That's why they are receiving 4 stars because of those two lovely workers. read more

Some of our absolute favorites are the potato pirashki, cabbage pirashki, nacho cheese empanadas, and of course the custard and Nutella ponchiks--everything is always warm, flavorful, and perfectly made. Today my husband, who is very picky, decided to try their lahmajun for the first time. He loved it! It was crisp, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. That was another win for Papillon. Definitely worth trying a variety of their recipes--you really can't go wrong here.

I greeted the woman at the front counter just letting her know I was there but was aware I was a bit early. Without a response greeting & somewhat dismissive, "yea...it's 30 minutes". Let her know that wasn't a problem and I'll just wait around. Every customer she greeted after me was greeted, wayyyyy less attitude. The bakery started filling up with people and my order was ready. Once I get to the counter, she boxes my food dismissively then proceeds to shove it in my direction, purposely avoids eye contact while doing so & then when I smile & say 'thank you'. Response given... 'bye'. Although the food was delicious, the entire interaction was off putting & soured the experience. Sadly, I don't think I'll be returning to this location. I understand a bad day or a rude customer, but this didn't feel like that. The entire experience felt unwelcoming & unenjoyable. The bakery its self is cute, clean & would make a lovely place for a hangout... it just won't be a place I'd choose to frequent again. Hopefully someone else has better experience. I will recommend the food. Just not the service.
