Server knew nothing about drinks (asked how to spell Laphroaig, which seems like day one material for a cigar bar; didn't know what Tokaji or Sauternes were) that were on the menu, several of which they didn't actually have in stock. Bananas foster bread pudding was delicious, however. I'd try to the Chop House, but probably wouldn't go back here.

I feel like if you like Rum Raisin ice cream, you'd like the flavors of this! It was pretty decadent but not in a chocolate-y way. I couldn't stop eating it! *Brown Butter Lemon Bar - this was the dessert of the day. Loved that it was topped with ample fresh berries and wasn't too sweet. The toasted merginue-y whip was a really nice touch too! They also had a tasty looking boozy coffee beverage, which looked bomb but we were too full!

While blue moon tastes like fruity pebbles, butterfly moon tastes exactly like froot loops and is even the color the milk turns when you have a bowl. Every time I walk by there's basically a line around the block, so clearly people love it. Thankfully when I actually went, the service moved pretty quickly. Definitely somewhere I'd come back to try more flavors.

To begin, let's start with the positive things; the ambience of the cafe was great, the pastries looked immaculate, and the employees were attentive and kind. That made the trip to the cafe worth it. But would I go out of my way to come back for another cinnamon pastry or pain au chocolat? The answer is yes, if a couple things were improved. The pastries themselves I found to be a bit dry, but they had decent flavor. The cakes/mini desserts were good, though personally I am not a big fan of cream, so they weren't my favorite. I asked for my pastry to be warmed, but when I got it was barely over room temperature. But the BREAD. The bread was DELICIOUS. It had a perfect bake and fluffiness, and it was bursting with flavor. I recommend the zaatar or leek and cheese loaf. Both were amazing. I could definitely eat an entire one The drinks are also great as well. We got a black coffee and iced matcha and both tasted good. Overall, if you are looking for a cafe/patisserie with amazing ambience, kind employees, decent pastries, adorable cakes, delicious bread, and great drinks, I would certainly recommend Cannelle to you.

The customer service here was fine as well, although for some reason one of the employees gave me a weird look when I told her I wanted to take my order to go. Not sure how to interpret that, but it's a minor complaint. All the food I got was delicious, and I resisted the urge to eat it all at once

I had time to speak with staff about the last k of space for baking and how they arrived at so many flavors. They do not bake onsite but receive frozen shipments from the main bakery in Grand Rapids as handiest the Holland, Michigan store. They defrost enough each for each day so they never run out of flavors. They were some of best I have ever had. Nothing like what you might find in the bakery section of a grocer. It's so appealing. The macarons displayed in the case were equally appealing. I don't recall all the flavors, but I had a tough time picking out flavors for my friend and, of course, something for me. I chose three macarons to enjoy at the shop: blueberry, coconut, and strawberry cheesecake. I liked the delicate crack of the macaron shells and the creamy, flavorful centers. Each sported a design to distinguish itself from the others further. I also had a piping hot Earl Gray tea along with these treats. Espresso, French and Italian sodas, and lattes are also available.
