Everyone was super kind here, but I didn't have as good experience as I had last time. In general, the product uses an ingredient that hurts my stomach. Unfortunately, one of the products wasn't labeled since it was more of a seasonal item and the employee couldn't tell me the allergens for the product and so I didn't feel confident or comfortable purchasing it. A lot of people go to a store like this because they have a certain diet preference and I feel like the stuff should be a little bit more knowledgeable or at least have some incentive to ask someone who might know instead of just disregarding a customer . that being said I'm really thankful for vegan options, especially for those of us who have all allergies. Got to stop by here after having Shalimar Buffet. We decided to get a create your own about $7 dollars which for a cinnamon roll might be considered pricey. However, this is not your average cinnamon roll. The roll itself is fluffy and delicious and the almond frosting was out of this world. My kids had the Strawberry fields and the classic cinnamon roll with vanilla frosting for $7 and $5 respectively. I have been here on two separate occasions and both times were not a disappointment. The first go round I had like the caramel apple pie cinnamon roll. Which came with apples pecans drizzle of caramel and cinnamon sugar clumps. Which was soo good and warmed up is even better. I love this place!! I'm traveling and I was so happy to find one in Michigan, I had to make sure my family tried it. We went in yesterday and I made my own roll for the first time. I really enjoyed the cake batter frosting. My mom always gets the old skool and my cousin got the Cookie Monster, which I've had and loved, as did she. New biz alert! The highly anticipated opening of the vegan bakery is finally open! Cinnaholic is a vegan cinnamon roll shop that offers up huge cinnamon rolls topped with various sweets and fruits or you can create your own. They also have other sweets available like cookie dough, dole whip, cookies and they also offer some coffee. The space is kind of small and given it's their first two weeks of being open it got very crowded and cramped in there. There are a few tables that can seat 1-3 people, a restroom in the back but the main attraction is the bright counter and the display case with all the delicious goodies. Covid protocols: Everyone inside was masked, staff included and they have an automatic sanitizer dispenser as soon as you walk in. I tried three different rolls: One I custom made with maple frosting then topped with coconut, sliced almonds and apples The other two were on the menu: Big House which is loaded with syrup, chocolate cookie sandwich pieces and chocolate chip cookie pieces and fun sprinkles and the other was the Sparkle Berry which was chocolate frosting topped with strawberries and then sprinkles. Overall I was pleased with the rolls but I will say I preferred the ones with fruit more. The rolls themselves are quite sweet so stacking on more sweet stuff just made my teeth zing! They are also really huge. I wasn't able to finish any of the rolls and only had a bite from each because it was a bit too rich for me. However, the fact it's all 100% vegan is a warm welcome to Ann Arbor! Parking is available on the street or the Williams/Main garage across the street behind Avalon Bakery and by the Bus depot. There seems to be a lot of hype for this place, but there is also one in my hometown that I tried awhile back. I had the apple cinnamon bun, but I remember there being a slightly weird, bitter aftertaste but I wanted to give cinnaholic another shot. We ordered on Snackpass, and we waited around 40 min for our order to be ready, and we only ordered two buns. This time, the taste of the cinnamon buns were better than I remembered, and they did add quite a few toppings. However, I was a little disappointed in mine, as I expected more sprinkles and strawberries. I was lucky enough to be part of the Yelp Elite Experience. The concept of this place is neat, but in all honesty, I'd rather just have a big ol gooey cinnamon roll. I got the caramel apple pie with cream cheese frosting instead of caramel frosting. The Apples aren't cooked and they were a little over ripe. I'd probably sauté them a little for a better texture. The cinnamon rolls are kept in a warmer and probably cooked earlier in the day so it was a little dry and crispy on the outside. TBH, I wouldn't pay the $7+ for the cinnamon roll. It was good, but not amazing. The employee who took our order was very helpful and friendly. He did a great job explaining the options. Personally can I just say hats off for making a bakery that's vegan. I'm a long time lover of cinnamon rolls and was super disappointed when Cinnabon Quality died. It's really hard to find a genuinely great dessert that is vegan, but everything we tried exceeded expectations and then some. You wouldn't even know they're vegan!
