While I had heard great things about this restaurant, I hadn't been in yet. I'm sure glad we chose to come here. Since I'm perpetually early, I went to have a beer at the bar while waiting and had a chance to peruse the happy hour menu. Lots of good stuff here including many beers and cocktails. This menu is available until 6 pm during the week. Bartender was a doll and gave me the skinny on all her favorites for both the happy hour and regular menus. Bar seats maybe 15 people and a tv above will keep a solo flyer busy for a bit. Once my buddy arrived, we were seated in the dining room toward the back. A great space able to seat many patrons. Larger groups can easily be accommodated. Our server Zack was awesome and came by just often enough. He also did a great job spacing out our courses so as not to overload our table. We started with soup and then had one of the starts of the evening- sliced seared tuna. This was a reco from the earlier mentioned bartender and it was a super home run. So were the Bang Bang Tacos. ( another reco from our great bartender food guru.) My friend said his salmon was good but not great and I had a burger that Zack recommended. Cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious, this was an incredible burger and I could have taken at least half home. I didn't because it was so good and I felt stuffed when it was finished. We didn't stop there though - the dessert menu looked awesome and I wasn't going to miss it. Coffee and snifter of Chambord matched with the cinnamon apple explosion was the "icing on the cake" Great meal and service. Will definitely come back and the sooner the better.

Portions are generous and the best dish of the night was the Dancing Shrimp appetizer (fried shrimp wrapped in kataifi). Overall, wouldn't mind coming back here if in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to visit. One of the best features of the restaurant is the ambiance accompanied by good service. Bar is lively on weekends, and the dining area is spacious for table parties of 4-6.

The drinks were amazing also. We started with the bread at the table and a delicious fresh butter; it hit the spot perfectly and was warm and with great crust. We decided to order from the price fixe menu since it was restaurant week. We both started with the New England Clam Chowder and it was perfectly seasoned and had a nice amount of clams, potato and croutons for texture. Wonderfully flavorful and it was good portion. Next we decided on the main courses, wifey chose the chicken scallopini with linguine; I chose the rigatoni bolognese - mostly because that was her second choice. We absolutely loved the food, portions were huge and flavors were absolutely top notch. We managed to get so full from off the entrees that we managed to have some leftovers for our kids to enjoy back at home. Of course we had to leave some room for desert. I didn't take a picture of it but we loved the carrot cake. If you're ever in the area, or can make it with reservations it is absolutely worth every effort to make it to this restaurant. Food was amazing, service was spectacular and the ambiance is chic and pleasant.

As I walked in, the owner and the employee at the counter greeted me with big smiles. I mentioned it was my first time, and they walked me through the menu. The employee quickly took my sandwich order while the owner started making my mocha. I couldn't resist the pastries, they looked so delicious, so I had to grab a small cookie as well. My food was ready in about four minutes. I was very impressed with the sandwich; the portion size and the value were excellent. The bacon was perfectly crispy, and the egg and potato were so flavorful. The coffee was a little too hot, so I asked for two ice cubes, but it tasted delicious regardless. I am already excited for the next time I return to Syosset to visit The Station Café! Small but mighty store! ¡Encontré este café en Yelp y me moría por probarlo! Me alegró mucho haber podido pasar hoy.

I and my daughter went this morning having breakfasts. This was the first time. Once we sat down, he asked us what drinks we wanted. I ordered coffee and orange juice for my daughter. He didn't ask us what size orange juice and what type of coffee and milk. He just brought the drinks. Then I found out there were two sizes of OJ on the menu. Of course, he brought the large size. I ordered the built your own omelette. I said mozzarella cheese, sausages and mushrooms. When he repeated, he said cheese, sausages and mushrooms. When the order came, it was American cheese. And he just put down white bread toasts. Usually the diner waiter would ask what type of bread, coffee, milk, and size of drink. He didn't ask any of them. Once I put down the fork, he came and asked any containers to go. Of course, he dropped the bill too at the same time. By that time, there were still many empty tables. I think the prices were little over.16oz of OJ costed $7/8 (I don't really remember). It was not fresh squeezed as menu said.

As I craved BBQ for the umpteenth time, I was saddened by my past visits to those Long Island places that claimed bbq but were just neon lights or chain stores or just pure disappointments... and then saw a new place opened just a few months ago that was within striking distance. I couldn't resist - I had to try again... As you drive in, stay vigilant and make the correct turn - you might miss it if you go too fast on Jericho Turnpike. Drive straight down - your reward awaits you on the left. I was greeted by Lou, who runs Prime Time Butcher; he is Father to Josh of Blowin' Smoke. This is a family that knows quality meat - we are talking Generations of Butchers. As I waited for my order, Lou greeted customers that came in by name - they've been there before and he knew exactly what they wanted. (That's always a good sign.) Josh came out to greet me and apologized for the slight delay in my order. I came in on a Tuesday evening, missing the Pastrami days on Wed and Thurs, the Brisket of Fri, Sat, & Sun. So, I did what every other aficionado of BBQ would do - I ordered almost everything else to sample the range of the menu. As I left with my order, Lou asked for my honest appraisal and I promised him I would: Long Island has Good BBQ - and it can be found at Blowin' Smoke. Ask the toughest critics: my teenagers. They DEVOURED everything: pulled pork, St Louis ribs (both sauces), baby back ribs, chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, wings. They looked up and declared this was the best BBQ they've had in NY. And then they asked if we can go back again in the future - oh, yes, we will... My greatest compliment would be this: would I wear a tshirt and hat with the Blowin' Smoke logo on it? The answer is a resounding YES. (I just hope they don't do the stereotypical black color - this place is unlike any other and shouldn't look like everybody else...) Go get yourself some good BBQ at Blowin' Smoke - and make yourself happy that you did.

As an appetizer to share, we really like the totchos or the Asian nachos. The various items listed reflect cuisines from many different ethnicities presented in thoughtful combinations. This last trip, I even tried one of the poke bowls and even that was well thought out and had good flavor. My only real criticism is that too many of their items are quite spicy which limits choices a bit for my palate, but where they can dial down the spice or put something on the side (or leave it off) they have always been accommodating. Service is quick. Decor is lively and fun. Do not expect to have a quiet meal hear as the ambiance is rather festive. Managers and staff are helpful and friendly. My friend and her boyfriend have visited multiple locations and recommended visiting Dirty Taco and Tequila - Woodbury for our double date so we came on a Tuesday night at 6:30pm. Dirty Taco and Tequila is located in Woodbury Common Shopping Center. There are plenty of other businesses and parking spaces. Many tables at Dirty Taco and Tequila were occupied and it was pretty busy when we came in, but we were seated after waiting just a little while. Dirty Taco and Tequila only takes reservations for large groups. Dan Z was our server and he was amazing. He was very attentive, happy, and friendly. He asked if it was our first time at Dirty Taco and Tequila and gave us a brief introduction to the menu and his recommendations. I had the Asian Pear cocktail and it was very yummy. The Asian Pear cocktail has Grey Goose vodka, pear nectar, st. germaine, lime juice, and agave. My friends had pineapple margarita, coconut margarita, and strawberry kiwi margarita. For margaritas, you can add salt or sugar on the rim. We ordered Guac & Chips for the table. The guacamole, tomatoes, cilantro, lime, and red onion were very good and great to share. I ordered the Bulgogi Taco and the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco. My favorite was the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco. It had pan fried shrimp, cabbage slaw, tossed in bang bang sauce, sriracha drizzle served on flour tortilla. This taco was packed with flavor and really good. The bulgogi taco didn't have bulgogi, they were steak strips. My husband had the Pork Belly Taco and Korean Short Rib Taco. He really enjoyed it. Our group of 4 stayed for about 2 hours at Dirty Taco and Tequila. They didn't rush us out at all. It's really chill and relaxing atmosphere. I also really like the decor. There is a cash discount if you pay with cash compared to credit card. Definitely looking forward to coming back to Dirty Taco and Tequila!
