Went for dinner on my Birthday a few years back as a surprise. My birthday is 2 days before Christmas so you can only imagine the lights and decor were amazing! Went back for brunch on our Anniversary in March, equally amazing!! The food is spot on every time! Farm fresh and made to perfection from start to finish! Beautiful farm stand and market place during the season as well. Two thumbs up from me - if I had more thumbs I would give them

Parking is limited, but once you arrive, the property is absolutely adorable with its farm setting and beautiful flowers. The service was friendly, attentive, and one of the highlights of our visit. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh, locally grown ingredients, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, almost every dish we ordered was incredibly salty. I love well seasoned food, but this was just too much. They definitely need to ease up on the salt because it overpowered the fresh ingredients. I would recommend to the chef - calm down on the salt please!!! The standout dish for our group was the hot honey pizza--it was absolutely delicious and the one item I'd happily order again. One small downside that caught me off guard was the bathroom. It was so dark that it was difficult to see anything. Overall, it's a beautiful spot with great service and a charming atmosphere!

Sept 14, 2019 - the most magical day of my life, thanks to Falkirk and all their staff. From the…read moreday I chose the location until the day after my wedding, the staff were so responsive and extremely helpful. Tommy and team helped me with every detail of my wedding - from giving me their feedback on the vendors I chose, to giving me tips of what to do/not to do. The experience we had was simply incredible. The food, the service, the kindness, the guidance - you would be making a huge mistake if you don't choose this venue. The staff just blended in with us and felt like they were a part of our family! Their food - I can rave about this for days. My family is very picky, and we have gone to many weddings, and I will say to this day, all we hear is how incredible the food was. They go above and beyond to make sure you are happy, and with a smile on their faces. Why would you ever spend money on a wedding planner? Tommy and team took care of every single detail - from making sure that my pictures, pamphlets, signs were up in the right locations, to bustling my dress the night of. The Maitre D was incredible. My family lives 45 minutes from the venue, but my husband and I now live in Florida. A lot of my planning was done from afar. What this team did to make sure every single detail was taken care of was just incredible. They made everything so easy, and so pleasant. I made the best decision of my life marrying my husband- choosing Falkirk was the next best decision I made for my wedding. If you are reading this, stop and don't go any further. I promise you, you won't regret it. In fact, it will be the best decision you make. Give them a call! Mona and Carsten

We attended a wedding here for my husband's coworker. There was a very nice valet attendant and the…read morevenue and grounds are gorgeous. The ceremony was outside and we had a nice cocktail hour afterwards. The food was phenomenal, with passed hors d'oeuvres, mashed potato bar, and a carving station. The bartenders were very nice and accommodating. Some misses during cocktail hour included ice cold broccoli at the mashed potato bar, like they just took it out of the fridge. Some of the passed hors d'oeuvres did not have toothpicks to pick up the items. We adjourned upstairs for the reception and it was beautifully decorated. Our salads were waiting at our seats. The dinner was really good and we were happy with the food and the drinks. Unfortunately, the service was not good at all. I heard that this place shut down their golf course but are trying to open sections back up, so they've mostly been operating as an event space, which likely means they don't have permanent staff. In situations like this, the staff they have are usually doing the very bare minimum, which was noticeable. While the service staff was very nice, most didn't know what they were serving, which was a problem as some in our group had dietary restrictions. At the very least, they should be able to tell you if there's meat or seafood in whatever they're serving. The cocktail hour carving station was held up because the person manning it didn't have a knife. I visited the station three times and only found a steak knife (mixed in with butter knives) on my 3rd round. The servers also did not pass any food to the people standing on line for the bar. They were visiting people thta already were sat, eating food. It would have been nice to have a coconut shrimp while I waited for 10 minutes, for a drink. During the main reception, it took a very long time for them to clear plates and when they brought our first course, they served half of our table and then another person came out with plates and skipped our table, went to a different table, and the other half of ours had to wait until yet another person came out to finish serving. They took our silverware and we had to go to the kitchen to ask for replacements because they were never brought back to us, even when we asked the servers. I accidentally spilled a cup of water that took three of our napkins. I asked for replacement napkins and it took my husband going to the kitchen to to ask but they only had two napkins left and did not even think to offer paper napkins. By the time dessert was served, for at our table left for the evening. When they came around to give cake slices, I asked for one of each, and the server said that they didn't have enough - I pointed out that half of our table was gone so they could definitely allow me a second slice. I'm glad I asked bc the chocolate cake they originally gave me was too sweet for me but the extra vanilla slice was perfect. They left us with our cake and never gave us dessert utensils. We had to scavenge for them, from the place setting of those that left the event. The served coffee with no milk. Several other tables, including ours, had to ask for milk, and it took ridiculously long to get anything. As I said, the wedding was beautiful, the reception was fun, but that was mostly because of the the bride, groom, families, DJ and emcee. The venue, decor, food and grounds, were all great, but the service was so very bad. Hopefully once they've opened on a more regular schedule, they'll have more committed, permanent staff, that will represent the venue better.

I've…read morebeen eating at Sam's of Gedney Way for years and had tried their catering at a Taste of WhitePlains event a while back. The passed hors d'oeuvres we had were over the top. A combination of land and sea--Filet Mignon with Arugula and Horseradish Goat Cheese (amazing!), Outer Banks Crab Cakes with mustard caper sauce, and Crisp Coconut Shrimp with chili lime sauce (mouth watering as I recall them). As a vegetarian option, the Brie & Roasted Shallot Tart with caramelized fig chutney went so well with the red wine I was drinking. Other good gnoshing with their Classic Antipasto platter and a couple of platters of Shrimp Cocktail. For the main course, we had Tuscan Chicken with artichokes, and sage in a lemon butter sauce, along with a Penne Pasta with Prosciutto, grana and peas in a light tomato cream sauce, and huge platter of grilled vegetables. They cut up the chicken small enough so that you didn't need a knife, making it easier to eat in a cocktail setting. The entrees hit the spot and weren't too heavy after all the appetizers. Since I had already hired someone for the night to work the party, I opted for them to drop-off the food. They wheel it in in these giant containers that keeps everything the right temperature until you need it. They gave us instructions on how to heat and serve everything. Nothing was dry or soggy. And they set us up with all the serving pans and platters. All in all, they were helpful in providing guidance on which food to order. Calling Caperberry for the next party.
