I come here once in a while for their super thin tasty burgers which were great. Just went there today and just by the different surroundings, I knew someone else took over the joint. 1st thing I see is a old grumpy looking man as I walk thru the door behind the counter with his arms folded ! No smiles, no greeting..... N O T G O OD at all..... 2 girls behind the counter seem like the daughters of this mean old dude (jjust guessing). So I order my usual, and normally its about $7.50, This time its $9.50 ! So I say ok, inflation. I can understand that, but when I get my order, its clear this new management changed burger style into a thicker smaller size. I knew then what a huge mistake that was because I didn't enjoy that cheeseburger AT ALL, not to mention paying $2 bucks more . They advertise free wifi but their signal says LOCKED ! I love the food it's my go to place prices are good . I just thought the last time I placed a phone order . They were rude on the phone .

BEWARE!!! Their gyro sauce tastes really funny - I suspect they're using either sheep or goat milk to make it. It smells and tastes like a petting zoo. After a few bites of my souvlaki pita sandwich, I had to literally spit it out in a napkin and concentrate on not elapsing into a fit a dry retching. I'm sure some people like it, but it's an acquired taste to say the least. Also, their french fries were really terrible. Instead of being crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, it was all 'inside', with no crispiness at all, and seemed to be marinated in oil from the deep fryer. Love this place! Chicken is always delicious! staff is friendly and nice. Would have given 5 stars, however on my last visit i had ordered a salad w/no cheese only to go home and find crumbs of feta all over my salad that was not supposed to have cheese. Really?? ...didnt you see the crumbs of cheese left all over?? would it have been that hard just to make it how i ordered?? I called back to notify them, staff was nice and offered to remake the salad. Bottom line, make the food how the customer ORDERS! read more

I just plainly thought the service was horrible. I came in one morning a few weeks ago, to be greeted rudely and loudly by two fat greek ladies. One was younger and the other looked like her mom. The old, fat one yelled at me to take my ticket with me or i wouldnt get my food. now, dont get me wrong, some places do tease customers with a friendly smile but i did not get any thing even close to friendly from these two. as i waited by the window, ticket in hand, the two greek ladies were conversing so loudly, patrons from across the room were rolling their eyes at their arrogance. they continued to laugh and scream for what seemed like an hour. The older lady proceeded to get on the phone and call somewhere. She began yelling and screaming, in joy im assumming, at the other person on the line, again in Greek. The younger one had reached for her cell phone was was texting and chatting away near the kitchen. I saw my food arrive on the table between them and the cooks. both completely disregarded their duties and proceeded to continue doing what they were doing. I approached the counter to ask if that was my meal awaiting me. The older lady, rolling her eyes, hung up the phone and asked me "what do u want". i was shocked and told her to give me my food that was waiting. She turned around, looked at the food, and snatched from the counter and threw, literally she just tossed, it into the bag, and nearly threw it onto the counter in front of me. I told her she should learn some customer service and she just rolled her eyes and muttered something Greek under her breath, the only word i was able to understand was 'mallaka' because my neighbor happens to be Greek and she calls her drunken husband it. it means jagoff. I asked to speak to the manager, she told me she was the manager. I asked to speak to her supervisor or perhaps her manger. she caught eyes with the younger girl and they both smirked and laughed and said that there isnt one. had i known how poor the service and how ungrateful, ignorant Mr Zees service was going to be, i would have taken my business elsewhere. I refuse to come to Zee's after my first encounter, and so do my friends and family who say they have had the same, if not worse experiences with these two. My cousin says the night staff, a brunette girl, blond girl, and blond guy with an accent are much nicer and friendlier than these two. Perhaps Mr zees will regain my trust in their service when I see that these two are no longer employees. if i could i would give Mr Zees no stars, because that is what my service was apparently worth to them. read more

Waited over 20 minutes for my order. Gyro is by far the worst gyro I have ever had, still burping that crap after 5 hours and I also ordered some stupid chicken plate which had zero flavor and super dry. It is fair to say i will never go here again. read more

This place is ok. My favorite part of their dinner entrees is the rice and the potatoes. The chicken is ok and the salad is not that great. The wait there can drag, too, so if you are getting take-out I would recommend calling ahead for faster service. read more

We order from Mr. Zee's now and then and everytime we do the food is really good...I usually get the Chicken kabob dinner and it is delicious...My husband gets the Gyros and also delicious.....Very, very good!!! read more

Great food for the money, and I suggest calling your order in ahead of time so you don't have to wait. I recommend any of their dinners because of the abundance of food you get, My faves are the gyros plate and I also love their kabobs-- and, if you ask, they will do a combo of both chicken and steak. Mr. Zees take on Greek American is worth a try! The grilled chicken and hot soup are the highlights of the restaurant. The baklava is also a treat to be tried. The second location opened at Central and Montrose is slightly less as bustling as the original still as good! read more

I was not dissapointed by the food. It was very good. I ordered a chicken breast meal. Though big proportions i was able to finish it. Very Good, came with cose-law or salad, rice (pilaf), garlic bread, the chicken (of course) and baked potatoes. I am surely going to come back here. I have eaten at Mr.Zee's about three or four times. The atmosphere is a bit boring, but the food makes up for it. I've always ordered the Chicken Breast dinner. The dinner includes chicken breast (of course), rice pilaf, coselaw, garlic bread, and baked potato. It is very filling and very good. I have also tried the salads and the chicken dinner, they both taste very good. The only problem with Mr. Zee's is the waiting time, but other than that, it is a very nice place. read more

Had two orders of the chicken and rib combo at Mr. Zee's on 6-2-12 for my family. To say the least, the food was horrifying. Absolute garbage. Everyone agreed (6 of us). Threw most of it out. The ribs had no taste and the chicken was almost as bad. The food seemed very old. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

The most disgusting burger I ever had. It was literally as thin as a piece of construction paper and burned to a crisp. I took it to go to bring back to the office or I would have complained in person. All I could really eat was the stale bun which was even making me sick. I would have been better off going across the parking lot and ordering a Tuna croissant from Dunkin Donuts. Will NEVER go to Zee's again or recommend it. read more

Last week I ordered the skirt steak sandwich deluxe....Although in the past when I have asked for well done, I did get it well done...It was medium at best and tough as shoe leather....Skirt steak as you know has a layer of skin or fat on one side...This needs to be taken off or you might as well give it to the dogs.....I was very disappointed in the entire meal...Fries tasted like they were just sitting there and then thrown back in the fryer to heat them up.....I will not be going back.....I also noticed the cooks keep tapping the meat and chicken they had on the grill. This depletes the internal juices and just makes the meat dry.....Inexperienced cooks or just plain lousy cooking practices. Very sorry I spent $13.00 on a steak sandwich and had to toss most of it after trying to chew it..... read more

Mr Zee's Used to be a great place to eat . We have been eating and getting food for our parties from them for years, but the last few times we have been there the food and service has been horrible. First their portions are not consistent. One day I get great food and nice portions the next it is small portions. Like today we ordered Italians Beefs and Gyros and the Beefs were like mini beef sandwiches with hardly no meat and the Gyros had like four strips of Gyros meat and they were burnt. We have eaten here many of times before and used to like the food and the portions were worth the money but lately it been bad. Second , when I showed the Owner/Manager the beefs he was like "so wha"t as he passed a large beef sandwich to someone eating in.... their sandwich had a lot of meat for the same price I was charged.. So I feel Mr Zee's don't care about and treat their Take Out customers badly. So I advised Be sure you really want to eat here now and BE Sure to check your take out orders so you are not cheated. And I have told my Family we will not be ordering our New Years food from Mr Zee's this year. I don't want to be disappointed again.
