POV ; it's Mother's Day Sunday 2022 9:30 AM just left Costco with flowers, need to drop off said flowers with some type of dessert for my sister in law. Nothing bunt cakes is closed( lame!) google doughnuts and this place pops up! This place was busy when I arrived, a line out the door figured it was just for Mother's Day, but after having doughnuts found out it wasn't just for Mother's Day but also for the quality. Busy but they moved through that line like magic. All the employees were super attentive, on top of their game with helping all the customers. Love the open view of the bakery. Love seeing them roll out doughnuts and cut them by hand. Pure magic. Sooo many flavors of doughnuts and price point is nice. Not over priced. Cool mom and pop shop great location, can get busy since parking is kinda hard to find but we made it work. Since so many people were coming in for doughnuts , the doughnuts they boxed for us were hot and fresh... man those chocolates that were still warm didn't even make it for the picture but dam were they good. Glaze too, didn't try all the ones I took to my sister in law but she was so happy with her warm doughnuts as a treat early in the morning on Mother's day. What a good selection of donuts. We had a craving for donuts one night and couldn't believe there's a few choices of donut shops that are open 24 hours. Mr T's is the closest to our house and the website showed some interesting donuts. We decided, what the heck, let's get a dozen. Glad we did, ate a little here and there and they lasted a few days in the fridge. We definitely recommend this donut shop and will go back. Perhaps, we might try a few other donut shops too, just to be sure. Might be a while as we have the craving for donuts about 2 to 3 times a year. Hello Everyone, If you ever come to Modesto, I kid you not... MR T's is a MUST. I was introduce to Mr. T's shop about 4 years ago by a friend and I absolutely fell in love. Every time I visit we grab a box to take home. This is a small mom and pop's shop, the service is great. Quick, easy and fast, even when there's a long line. The donuts themselves are amazing, my favorite one is the blueberry cake donuts. I get 1 dozen blueberry cakes and 1 dozen assorted mix. My family loves them and some times I take a box to my coworkers. The price is CHEAPER then I have ever seen. I am from San Jose where a box of regular glazed donuts come to $18 per box and an assorted box can be up to $22 or more depending on the donuts. (Krispy Kreme) The price here was $14.95 a regular dozen... the complaints I've read about the prices are a bit absurd. As a outsider I've never purchased a cheaper box with a great quality taste. read more

I arrived at 8:30 a.m. and ordered 3 chocolate twist donuts. I ate one approximately 30 minutes later. I was shocked and upset with the quality and taste. The donut tasted as of it was a day or two old. I tried the other 2 donuts which tasted the same as the first. Given the great reviews, I am extremely disappointed. I refused to eat the stale donuts. There is a reason why they are rated 15th in the country. The glaze donut is so light , fresh and airy . I always go for the chocolate bacon bar. The combo together is just amazing ! Did you know Mr. T is rated among one of the top 15 best donut shops in the nation? The aroma in the parking lot and line out the door is enough to tell you that you found the right spot. The line moves quickly since at least 2 people are being helped at a time. I live in Modesto and have been here several times. I'm on the fence with this review. First off the Doughnuts are oily and the oil is old, you can taste it and smell it. With the volume they do they should be changing their oil. Perhaps they're cleaning it and re-using it, I really can't say. I really don't put too much emphasis on ambiance. They way food tastes is number one service needs to be good and it's good here even when they're busy. The staff is helpful and they seem to enjoy their jobs. The big ding for me is the oily doughnuts and the old oil. If they clean that up they would definitely receive a 5 Star rating from me. I'd rather support a local business with a reasonable higher price than a big chain. read more

What happened to Mr. T? The donuts use to be soft and airy, which made them unique. I am speaking about the glaze donuts specifically. Now it taste thick and chewy, just like We Donuts. I love both donut shops for different reasons. Now, the donuts are chewy and thick, so no point of me driving across town for 20 minutes. I was a bit sad about this. Don't be deterred if there is a long line. The employees here work extremely hard to keep the line moving fast. You can see them constantly making fresh donuts right behind the ordering counter. Came across this place last night and I saw a long line outside. Donuts?? At this hour?? No way. I had to come and check this place out the next morning. There was a line out the door. This place must be really good then. Didn't have to wait super long, their service was incredibly efficient. A lot of ladies taking orders and there were names for the donuts so you don't have to point. We got the mango filled donut, original cronut, original white cake, donut holes, and a coconut donut. The donut holes were fresh and soft. My favorite donut is the white cake, they definitely nailed it here. Not too dense and was moist. The cronut was the star of the show, so crispy and addicting. I don't really like to eat the fruit jam filled donuts but the mango filled one was really good! The coconut donut was so soft as well. All of these aren't crazy sweet, just the right amount of sweetness. Now I finally have a place to go to when I'm having donut cravings at night! I get why this place has so many reviews! Fresh donuts 24/7! Cash and debit cards only, no bills over $20. French cruellers are my favorite kind of donut and I was so happy to see that they still had some even after going in the late morning. My friend got the maple bacon bar and he said it was pillowy on the inside. He also got the cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting. You have the option to get cream cheese and I think butter cream.
