NO NO NO!!!! I will never order again, I ordered one time ehh not great gave me steamed rice not fried the first time and did not listen when I asked for soy sauce and saracha. I then attempted to try again, SAME thing I said to make sure it was fried rice 5 different times, still not fried rice. I called and they were very rude (Lady who answered) basically yelled to me that it was fried rice and no silver ware no soy or saracha yet again. Very small portion of chicken and poor quality. When in Mesquite this is as good as it gets for inexpensive Japanese food. They also serve Chinese but the place is Japanese owned and it's really good. My favorite is the Curry Chicken, worth every penny and authentic. The staff are always nice and they even deliver in the North Mesquite area. What a joke! Went in for lunch after sitting for 30minutes, with only two other people in there, they forgot to make my order! Went to the counter, they wanted me to wait another 10 minutes for the order! I told them no, to give me a refund and they insisted that I wait for the food! Plus, the steamed veggies (sliced carrots, cabbage, and broccoli) and the slightly sweet sauce with steamed or fried rice completes the chicken bowl. Also, try the beef bowl and beef ribs. The beef is marinated with a nice flavor that leaves the palate wanting more. The fried tofu is a must if you want something small. If you want to add a little spice to your food, add the chili sauce (not the hot sauce in the bottle). The chicken egg roll is packed with deliciousness, and it's not greasy like some other places. Unfortunately, Mr. Teriyaki switches owners left and right; year by year. This place use to be one of my favorite go to places, but they've TAKEN AWAY MY DELICIOUS SMOOTHIES!!! Mr. Teriyaki use to have the BEST avocado smoothies and the BEST ice fruit smoothies, but now they've gotten rid of it altogether. Each time the owners change the seasoning and taste of the food changes too. I use to rate this place higher, but lately I've been feeling pretty "meh," about it. I'll give them another try, but it's simply a rollercoaster ride with each owner that comes in and takes over the menu. There is no grease and the veggies are crisp and steamed. This is a no guilt fast food restaurant. The California rolls are a decent sized portion as well. I ordered from here a couple of weeks ago. I was not all that impressed by the food. The noodle seamed like that they had too much oil on them. We had asked for fried rice and receive steamed. Chinese dishes are so tasty after the current owner moved in around 3 years ago, they are always concentrated on the quality of dishes because they wanna make a huge difference. I got take-out from this place due to all of the rave reviews. First of all, I'd like to say that the people that work there are very nice and accommodating, however, I had a not so great meal. The California roll had unripe avocado and was just plain bad tasting. The seaweed salad was pretty good, but over dressed. Finally, the chicken teriyaki bowl was sub-par. The chicken was of good quality and the rice is sticky, as expected, but the teriyaki sauce was WAY over salted. I might die of sodium intake tonight... I will not eat there again and wish I had gone to Pei Wei or even Panda instead. :( read more

We got a flyer sent via mail. We have been looking for good Japanese & Chinese food so we ordered for home delivery. We got an egg roll, fried dumplings, Kung Pao chicken with fried rice and Chicken Lo Mein. The Kung Pao came with steamed rice which was undercooked. The sauce for the dumplings was terrible. I counted 3 peanuts in the Kung Pao and the chicken was tough and partially raw. The egg roll was nothing but sour cabbage. To sum up for Mr. Teriuaki it is bad and not worth the money. Avoid this place unless you want to experience Oriental food as it should never be prepared. read more

This place is awful. The teriyaki chicken was thin and rubbery, the hot and sour soup was marginal at best and the shrimp roll( sushi) was so bad I only ate two pieces. Major disappointment after reading reviews here. I presume it is primarily a take out place as I was served my dinner in styrofoam containers as if I ordered take out. This place does qualify as a hole-in-the-wall place. Small and a bit hidden. The food is freshly prepared and tastes wonderful. The yakatori chicken bowl is my favorite do far. The Hawaiian fried rice, although different, is tasty. Chicken and beef with bits of pineapple and some curry seasoning. The main good thing is that everything is fresh and not at all greasy.
