Don't ever bring your computer to this store . They used to be great but as of an employee 's comments "all the good techs have left for better the paying jobs." I brought my computer in for a relatively minor problem (i.e., Unable to log on.) They fixed that issue but somehow really screwed up the rest of computer Almost all desktop short cuts were removed. I also was unable to access all my accounts (Microsoft, Amazon, my internet provider , etc., without changing all the passwords. As I continue to use the PC more and more problems keep popping up. We have used Mr. Tech Bench before, and they have always been good, but we haven't been in in a while. My daughter's Dell kept saying there was no hard drive. Took my iPad Air 2 here for a cracked screen repair. They told me the just screen itself is $329 and I'd be better off buying a new one. I asked if I had a screen myself could they put it on they just said no. No explanation, and no advice. Went online tonight and found screens for around $40, but available as low as $11 on eBay. You cannot possibly come back with how your screens are of higher quality with that much discrepancy. I already bought my daughter a new iPad (for $329). It would have been nice if you could have mentioned I could get the screen myself for much less. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the professionalism here. I waited to leave this review until I picked up my iPad. I dropped it off on Tuesday and was told it would be ready within 24 hours. I've called every day, including today, Saturday, and was told to respond between 4 and 5pm. The total cost was $130 for the screen and the glass protector. Four days after I dropped it off, the screen protector had not been placed on the item. There's lots of places out there. A faulty promise and no communication. Icing on the cake? Ok- I will give them points for speedy service, however, I had the repair done mid July on my totally smashed iPhone 5 screen. When I picked it up I noticed the home button was a little deep- meaning the glass was obviously thicker. The first time I went to take a forward facing photo I realized they never cleaned the glass on the camera before placing the new screen, thus rendering my front camera totally useless unless I was opting for the fuzzy shapes only image. These things I could live with. The last straw occurred this week. The phone fell approx 4 feet to a padded carpet and the screen disconnected from the phone so that the touch screen was not working, there were vertical lines down the middle, and I couldn't even UNLOCK the phone to get my information before having to get a new phone. All in all, if I had known it would have ended this way, I would have just had apple do it read more

So my Ipad was black and I assumed the battery had died. I plugged it in and left it for a while and nothing happened. Seemed to not take a charge. I checked the charger by plugging my ipad charger into my iphone and it worked fine. Mr Tech Bench had opened up near me a few years ago so I decided to stop by and see how much it would cost to fix. Maybe the port was bad and it wouldn't be too much. Didn't hurt to find out. Well, the gentleman behind the counter greeted me as I walked into his store and asked how he could help. I told him my ipad died and wouldn't take a charge. He asked a few questions and took it to a bench. While he was working I looked around the store at the many accessories he had for sale. After a few minutes he brought back my ipad which was on, displaying the password screen. He said I had a 90% charge so it seems to be charging fine. It needed to be rebooted. I told him, I had tried that several times and unlike what he did, it hadn't worked for me. He said it was caught in a loop most likely and he was able to reboot it. I was happy. 10 minutes of being in his shop and my problem was solved. I said " Thank you! How much do I owe you sir?" He looked at me and said, " No charge." WOW. He could have charged me easily. Many places would have had me leave the ipad for a few days then called me. Many would charge for simply looking at it. Some places would have made something up and banged me for a big repair. AWESOME! dropped my iphone and shattered the screen, luckily it was still working but i knew it would be a short time before i cut my fingers. Anyway, my cousin told me about them and then i looked them up on YELP, saw the great reviews and arrived at their place at about 5:45PM, they looked at my phone and said they would give me a call in an hour and a half or so.. i got a call at 7:45PM to pick up my phone because it was all ready, it looked brand new. Worth every penny. The gentleman that work here are all really cool and def helpful, i highly recommend this place. I'm notorious for cracking my iPhone screen, I'm not kidding. I have had my screen fixed here more than 5 times. They always get the job done in an hour and a half, tops. I've also been able to have them salvage a phone I dropped in the toilet, a phone that I dropped in soda, and a phone that was practically fried. They have never not been able to fix my phone issues. Seriously, come get your phone fixed here. I tell everyone to go here. Not to mention, they have a Groupon deal where you pay $25 for a $50 voucher - so if you're getting your iPhone screen fixed you're only paying $75 rather than $100. In September 2017, my mid-2010 Macbook Prop began running very slowly, and also would sometimes just turn off or not seem to be able to boot up all the way upon turning it on. I was completing my student teaching practicum after having just moved to Long Island from NYC and in the midst of the end of the coursework towards my second Master's degree, so I was a bit stressed out at the time. I called Apple about the problem and they said that, based on what I described, it sounded like I needed a new hard drive, and that I should reach out to a third party entity since my computer was out of warranty with them after 5 years from manufacture. I asked my husband what to do, while he let me temporarily borrow his PC so I could finish up the coursework for the semester without being interrupted, and he told me that his mom and brother both used Mr. Tech Bench and had great results. So I then waited until my semester was completed (December 2017) and then, once I'd recovered from the stresses of the holiday season, in February 2018 I went to Mr. Tech Bench and explained the difficulty I was having. They were then able to look at it and called me within a business day, I spoke to them and they explained that the difficulties I had been having with my Mac were stemming from the fact that I had way too many items saved onto my Desktop, and also because my memory was full. They had moved the Desktop items into one folder and deleted a few things so that I had about 80% of the memory full, that way the computer would be able to turn on and be used (although not for long, as they cautioned it will fill up again). While I do backup my Mac to my external hard drive pretty regularly, they said that I should delete items after I do so (which I guess I thought I had been doing, but perhaps not?) The owner discussed all of this in full with me once I came in to pick up my computer. I have to say I am happy with the work they've done and thankful I didn't have to pay $2,000 to buy another Mac (why do that when you can just keep the current one you have in working order by maintaining it)? read more

Been here 3 times in the past year with my iPhone 8 plus. First time i cracked my screen it was of course my fault, so i brought it in for repair. I noticed the screen was immediately tinted a different color and the screen itself was glitchy especially when typing messages or typing in general. My screen cracked again and I brought it back for repair again, mostly because i found a good deal on groupon and all other places were going to make me pay over $100. I brought my phone back in on 9/8/18 and a little over a week later it was cracked UNDER my glass screen protector when i had a speck case on; a case known to protect your phone and to have great reviews. My second screen was also the same: low quality and glitchy. When i went in today they told me my "warrantee" didn't cover a cracked screen that was obviously broken because of the low quality of screen that was replaced with it. The guy was nice and trying to accommodate me and gave me a very low price to fix it, but considering i was there barely a week ago and the screen was cracked under my screen protector is just ridiculous. I know dropping a phone is my fault, but for the screen to crack under the glass screen protector with a speck case on when it only fell about 2ft is just a little ridiculous to me. read more

I've been dealing with these cell phone repair stores for a while. I fix phones myself knowing they had an inferior product then most I avoided them. When my usual supplier moved in to the city i purchased 2 screens from them. I was back in there 6 times for 1 screen because they buy 3$ screens from the dump and they know it so they "give you a new one". The second screen that they gave me was the wrong one and was not refunded so I am stuck with an screen that I have no use for. The tall guy w the beard was unbelievably rude and told me to go somewhere else and complain to them. Go to apple and get a real apple screen put in for less money and it doesn't void the warranty+ it won't break in you're pocket with a life proof case on it. Worst people if ever delt with they make there money by ripping people off that don't don't know any better. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I went to have my tablet repaired and they said they could do it but they had to order the part. I paid in full. A week later they called me to have it fixed. I brought it in. When I got home they called me to pick it up because they needed yet another part. When I got there it looked like he tried to take the screen off but cracked the inner screen. He told me it was all included in the initial price. I waited 6 1/2 weeks, called them and they said it was on back order and they dont know when it will be in. Then they said I only paid 25$. I have my invoice with their stamp of paid in full. Please do not trust them with your phones, computers, or tablets. They are a bunch of unqualified high school nerds. An absolute disappointment. I just went there and they are saying I never paid the full amount which is a load of bs. I paid in full. Im going to boycott this business and call the BBB. Do not trust these thieves. read more

Do not go here. I cracked my screen and thought easier to just go local. i dropped it off and about 2 hours later i picked it up and went about my day. i have bluetooth in my car so that day i did not use my phone directly. The next day i took a call at work and when i put it to my ear my face started to hit all the buttons, usually the screen is supposed to black out. they completely messed up my sensor. by the time i was able to get there that night to complain they had already closed and then i left for vacation just saying deal with it when i get back. well on vacation like a fool i dropped and cracked my screen again so i said you know what il just go to apple to get it fixed since i know they will do it right, well after 2 hours at apple they said they can no longer fix my phone since the last ppl that fixed my screen did not use proper apple parts so everything is voided and basically good luck there's nothing we can do, so i went back to mr tech bench and explained the situation of the sensor not working, and apple not being able to help me. apple did say i could ask the place to put my old cracked screen back on which is apple certified and then bring it back to apple so i went back to Mr tech bench and was handed nothing but attitude and unwillingness to help. The girl at the counter told me to come back another day since they are closing soon and i could pay $10 for a sensor bar plus buy a new screen after i explained they are the ones that broke my sensor in the first place. I asked if she could just put back a cracked apple screen on here and she was like uh we don't know if we still have yours, and i said it doesn't have to be mine just throw any screen on here and then the boy in the back screamed apple wont help you since they know we opened it up. i explained that's not what apple told me, and why wasn't i warned of this when i came the first time. again more attitude and rudeness and finally i left. with my crappy cracked screen, do not go here. worst customer service ever, if you make a mistake you should fix it thats all i was asking for, i was completely willing to buy another screen but when they told me i would have to pay for a new sensor bar, i was livid. read more

I went here to get my phone fixed after the screen detached from it. I told the guy assuring me that the screen had broken a few months before so he recommended taking it back to the place where I had previously gotten it fixed to see if a warranty covered it. Unfortunately more than 90 days had elapsed so I was leery about getting fit fixed at that place so I decided to come back to Mr Tech Bench.
