I don't normally like sticky bun type foods, so for me to give 5 stars to a sticky bun is really saying something. In fact, this place got me CRAVING sticky buns! The other reviews aren't fooling, I thought these were just people who love this kind of thing, and it was preaching to the choir, but no, I was hard to please on this one, and they surpassed my expectations. [Update 1-6-15: We just discovered this location is open seasonally; this one closes in the winter. (You can order buns online to have them shipped to your door from the Mr. Sticky's website, any time of year.)] This location can be a little hard to find for non-locals. This is literally beside the Lancaster Tourism Center. Mr. Sticky is in a trailer that looks like a food truck with no wheels. Since I live only an hour away I had never gone to the tourist office, so it was new for me to take this exit off 30 (veering off from heading into downtown Lancaster). If you take that route, at the end of the ramp, you curve around to this place (on your right). The tourist center is a lot easier to look for than Mr. Sticky's, so head for the tourist center and you'll have found it. I am posting photos to show what it looks like from the parking lot to give you an idea. They are CASH ONLY. I had no idea of the prices until I looked at their website and could see what it costs to ship a dozen, which still doesn't really help. So FYI when we went, it was $2.50 for a single Mr. Sticky (more for the cream cheese frosting). 1/2 dozen of original Mr. Sticky is $10, and $19/dozen. Go up a little from there for other kinds, down a little for a regular cinnamon roll. I am posting a photo of the menu. We found a coupon on the PA Dutch Country website for a free bun with purchase of 1/2 dozen, which was great. Back to the buns... My great-grandmother had this great recipe for sticky buns, which my mom would often make at Christmas time only. They were really good, but a LOT of work. Mr. Sticky is JUST AS GOOD as my great-grandmother's recipe, and without the work or clean-up, so I am totally sold. I thought it would be all dried out and stuff like Cinnabon, or Sarah Lee, or Entemann's (preservative-filled crap I have not eaten for at least 15 years) but Mr. Sticky surprised me with how fresh and moist they were! Very pleased. We took a half-dozen home and put them in Rubbermaid container in the fridge. The container keeps them moist, and the fridge retards staleness. Put one in the microwave for a minute, and you're good to go. Past few months, husband and I have been trying to eat healthier (cut out a lot of bad stuff, eating a lot of beans and raw veggies, jogging 4-5miles a few times a week, etc. ... Well, I am going to have a Mr. Sticky as my "roll" with dinner tonight, and I am not even ashamed. Ha ha ha, now THAT is addiction! read more

So my wife loves Cinnamon Buns and always wants to stop by Cinnabon at the Park City Mall. A friend told us about Mr. Sticky's so we went. Be careful, you may pass it (I did)...it is right next to the Lancaster Welcome Center right when you get off Rt 30 on the right. The cinnamon buns were the best we ever had and even cheaper than Cinnabon (and it is a local business)(12.50 for 1/2 doz). It is just a walk up window but great product. We got the vanilla and peanut butter frosting (and they give you a lot). Highly recommend. read more

They packed them carefully in tiny boxes each and gave us extra cream cheese frosting in small packages. I ate one on the way back. I couldn't wait it smelled so good! Stopped at Mr Sticky's on our way out of town after visiting Sight and Sound. I bought a dozen sticky buns to take to a family reunion. They were delicious!!! I must confess as I've never been to their retail establishment but.... A co-worker did recently bring in a batch, fresh from the oven in all they're gooey glory. I will say they are the BEST sticky buns I've ever had! I indulged in both plain and with nuts and they were equally the single most sweetest, perfectly cooked, moist and sticky cinnamon buns I've ever eaten. We normally love Mr. Sticky's, but the old lady at the register was EXTREMELY rude, horrible experience with her previously where she practically threw the food at me through the window. Arrived shortly after 7AM asking for a dozen plain sticky buns. Staff provided a box of half-dozen and 6 single serve buns. This turned out perfectly for our office party. Those that wanted to take home a single bun had the option to do so and those that wanted to partake in the office had the option to cut up the buns provided in the half-dozen box. For my money, the best sticky buns in Lancaster County are at a food truck permanently parked at the Lancaster County Visitor's Center. They're served up warm. An incredibly, gooey, buttery-cinnamon(y) glaze coats the sweet-dough roll and clings to every surface it touches. I have not yet had the iced rolls because I think my head would explode. My bf doesn't really like sweet stuff, but when we stopped at Mr.Sticky's he had to have one. He couldn't get over how epic they are. I've had a lot of sticky buns that were too "sticky".
