I called them in advance and told them about a burn mark and damaged fringe. They asked me to send pics, which I did, then they told me to bring it in for evaluation. I took it there and they quoted $135 with a special. When I picked it up, it was $195 and they could not fix the burn but they neglected to tell me that beforehand. Next time I'll call Stanley Steamer - better use of my money!

My roommate scheduled an appointment for a 3 room pet solution cleaning, as his cats have peed on…read moreour carpets. The scheduling process was quick and easy. The pricing was very reasonable and the cleaners arrived on time and were courteous. However, the service we received was not to my satisfaction. While the carpets certainly did LOOK better, the smell of cat urine was WORSE. A cursory internet search will tell you NOT to use steam cleaners on cat pee, because the heat from the steam actually causes the proteins in the urine to bind permanently to the synthetic carpet fibers. Shame on us for not doing that research prior to contacting Baltimore Steam Cleaners... But you would think professional carpet cleaners, who advertise "Pet Solutions," would know better. Unfortunately, our only option at this point is to rip up the carpets. Also, they said they would take care of moving the furniture, but less than half of the furniture was actually moved. The rest they cleaned around. I would have been happy to move things out of those rooms ahead of time, but we were assured that they would take care of it.
