My roommate scheduled an appointment for a 3 room pet solution cleaning, as his cats have peed on our carpets. The scheduling process was quick and easy. The pricing was very reasonable and the cleaners arrived on time and were courteous. However, the service we received was not to my satisfaction. While the carpets certainly did LOOK better, the smell of cat urine was WORSE. A cursory internet search will tell you NOT to use steam cleaners on cat pee, because the heat from the steam actually causes the proteins in the urine to bind permanently to the synthetic carpet fibers. Shame on us for not doing that research prior to contacting Baltimore Steam Cleaners... But you would think professional carpet cleaners, who advertise "Pet Solutions," would know better. Unfortunately, our only option at this point is to rip up the carpets. Also, they said they would take care of moving the furniture, but less than half of the furniture was actually moved. The owners, Dan and Tim, scheduled my furniture cleaning at a time that was convenient for me. They were professional and did a wonderful job cleaning my couch for a very reasonable price. Very nice and easy to work with. Scheduling was a breeze and they showed up on time. Two great brothers/owners came to do the work and they were delightful. We had some recurring stains on our carpet that a different cleaning company had attacked last year with no success. Two weeks post-BSC's cleaning, I am happy to report that the stains have disappeared and do not appear to be returning! Their price was very reasonable, and they did some extra work for no charge. That was certainly unexpected and very nice. My only reason I didn't give them five stars is that they did not initially clean under my sofa. However, when I asked them to do so, they did it gladly without any fuss whatsoever. I think that should have been part of the initial cleaning without a special request. On the whole, I heartily recommend this team, and I will absolutely have them return when it's time for the next cleaning. read more
