I was still in the process of moving a few last items, and each team member was friendly, professional, and very accommodating throughout. The cleaning was extremely detailed, and i am very thankful for their thorough work. I was especially concerned about lingering pet odors since I have two cats, but the team used special products, and by the time they finished, there was no trace of any Cats living there and the place looked and smelled great. Scheduling was quick and easy, which I really appreciated. I had called several other cleaning companies before finding Majestic Maids, and many didn't even answer the phone. It took 2 people 3 hrs to clean a 1 person occupied apartment with less than 1300 sq ft (2 bedroom, loft, 2 bathrooms, very small kitchen, and dining/living room space) and no pets. I was charged $270. My oven cleaning was waived because they had to cancel the first appointment. (-)They don't charge until after the job is completed and per their policy they "process payments within 24 to 48 hours after your job is done. We do this for 2 reasons, first & foremost, to make sure you are 100% satisfied with our services and at that time we would know the actual time cleaning". I only gave them 3 stars because I provided my feedback that there were several items still dirty such as the outside surface of oven, bathroom toilet paper holders, kitchen sink faucet. They charged the full amount and didn't offer to come back and fix my concerns. (-)I didn't inform the cleaning service but I had LED string lights around some furniture that were positioned in February '17 and upon my return home they were no longer working. read more

This is a review of a job in late May 2016. I moved into a new apartment and was very excited to schedule a DEEP CLEANING. They estimated two hours at $90/hour. I downloaded the HouseCall app as recommended so I could get real-time notifications (totally useless, by the way... not one of the notifications was accurate). After waiting around for 30 minutes, I called. Linda said the crew get held up on another job and were on their way now; totally understandable. After waiting around for ANOTHER 30 minutes, I had to get back to work so I left. When I got home a couple hours later, I wasn't even sure if they had come. It smelled nice... the counters were wiped down... and that was IT. No indication that they vacuumed, dusted, much less hit the baseboards, light fixtures, or anything above or below eye level or behind a door. Clearly my job got the very short end of the stick. Linda called to check in, and I explained that I was pretty unhappy. She's very nice and professional, by the way. She guaranteed me that THREE people spent TWO FULL HOURS cleaning the apartment, and I was just at a loss. She offered to send a crew back out and asked for a list of what they "missed." I tried to explain: "It was NOT a deep clean, like for example, my bathroom... the light fixture and toilet paper holder are still caked in dust!" They came back the next day at some point (HouseCall app was again useless) and wiped off the light fixture and TP holder. And THAT WAS IT. I chose Majestic Maids out of the many other cleaning services in Baltimore primarily because ..... they were the only ones who would pick up their phone. I called about 5-6 other places on a late Wednesday morning. Having someone pick up the phone on the first try was probably the best impression they could make and so I chose to go with them. I guess all those other places missed out on my business. This is our first time using a professional cleaning service in Baltimore. My fiance and his roommate have been living in a bachelor pad for about a year now and as I am just about to move in, I wanted the house cleaned. Let me tell you, these girls had a lot of work cut out for them. The kitchen and the bathroom particularly were a mess. But the end result was just amazing -- they were able to do so much even within the short amount of time that they were there. It would have taken me anywhere from one full day to a weekend to perhaps complete the work that they did. We were promised two cleaners - only one came for the first two hours because of some personal emergency, which was fine as they adjusted the rate for us at the end. The woman who cleaned our bathroom and did most of the work was Freddie and she was absolutely amazing. She had just a bright attitude, and I felt comfortable having her in my home. She was warm and friendly and even gave me and my fiance some cleaning tips and product recommendations when we asked. Us and our dog were in and out of the house the entire time they were cleaning (which was probably really annoying to them and would have given them a reason to give us a sour attitude if they were any less courteous than they already were), but they were so kind to our dog and to our needs as we also bustled around the house moving things around. I scheduled several cleanings with them. One they didn't show up for. They apologized profusely saying they would re-schedule another cleaning at no-cost. When I reached out to schedule this they refused to respond. Another cleaning I was present for and the maids stated "I don't do windows", didn't clean the oven, and left the toilets dirty. There's nothing like the fresh smell of Pine Sol and walking barefoot on a clean carpet. Majestic Maids was able to give me the peace of mind of having a clean apartment that I was moving out of. Landlords can try to unjustly keep your security deposit but Majestic Maids was like my attorney on the case! They sent 2 ladies who were very friendly and made the experience comfortable and relieving. They cleaned every inch of the apartment and I added the appliance (fridge and stove) cleaning service at $25/appliance extra. They are extremely customer orientated and make sure that they leave everyone satisfied and keep their reputation great. If the landlord has a problem with something not being clean, they will send in a lead to take care of it. This was my first experience using a cleaning service, but we decided to finally try it since our daughter turned 2 and the apartment was getting harder to keep clean. Communicating with Linda has been stress-free - she is prompt with replies, dependable and communicates clearly, both via email and phone calls. We were able to have a cleaning scheduled the day before Thanksgiving, and the person who came to our apartment did a wonderful job. I had seen Majestic Maids on Yelp a while ago, and was interested due to the four star rating. I ended up not using them, but still kept them in my back pocket. A while later, I saw someone recommend them on Facebook, and he had advised that he used their services personally. I still went elsewhere... Fast forward to 2020. I have now had three or four bad experiences, so I said OK, IT'S TIME TO CALL MAJESTIC MAIDS! I was nervous when I first reached out, because no one got back to me. It actually took so long that I forgot I had reached out. When Miss Linda from the office finally called me back, she said that they had been out of the office due to COVID (duh, I totally should have been able to figure that out by myself, but I digress...). She told me that they had received my request for a quote, and asked me about the type of service that I needed. We were on the phone for at least twenty minutes. We talked about everything from family to hoarding. But yes! We did get some work done as well!! We scheduled my appointment, and we were well on our way! On the day of my service, they arrived "Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed." After my not so stellar experiences, I wasn't sure what to expect. They asked me if there was any place that needed extra attention, and I pointed out where the previous "providers" had failed. They were here for about two hours, and as it was their first time, they made it a point to communicate with me in detail. It was a pleasure to have them here; I was ready to schedule my next appointment before they even walked out of the door!! Please don't be like me and waste time trying other places first. Linda was great scheduling my appointment. On the day of the cleaning. 2 maids arrived late because they got their schedules mixed up but oh well, they got right to work. I live in a townhouse and they literally cleaned only 3 places (2 bathrooms and kitchen) for 4 hours. The plan was for then to clean the major areas. The powder room that was supposingly cleaned looks exactly the same. I called Linda after the job to let her know that her team did a terrible job, she said it was because one of them forgot her glasses at home so she couldn't see what she was cleaning. How is that my problem? She could have at least offered a portion of my money back but she did not. Definitely will not be using them again. read more

The company sent over a crew within 2 days and they let themselves in via lockbox. When I went to examine the property it was thoroughly clean and the old refrigerator looked good as new. Through the years, I have used many different cleaning people, companies, etc. for various cleaning needs. I have to say that I was never completely satisfied by those companies, and many times ended up feeling "ripped off". This time, I needed a special team of people. My Mother had passed away in March, 2016 and her house needed to be cleaned. Because many items (furniture, etc) had been removed - there were things laying randomly around the house in the different rooms. I tried to thoroughly research and as usual, I turned to Yelp. After reading SO many different reviews, and being impressed by what I read about Majestic Maids, I called them. My phone call was immediately answered, by Linda who was very nice and sincerely sympathetic about the loss of my family's Mom. I told her everything i needed done, and she quoted me a price of deep cleaning the house for $225.00 and explained the process. I really liked everything I heard and so I booked them for the cleaning job. Two days later, my team of two - headed up by Brittaney arrived. I can't begin to tell you how much I liked Brittaney. Upon meeting her, the first thing she did was give me a hug because Linda had relayed to her that I had just lost my Mom. That simple act meant a lot to me. Brittaney got to work walking through the house and reviewing all that needed to be done. She was professional, courteous, and ..... in short, wonderful. I wish I could remember the name of the young man who was with her because he also was very nice and worked quickly and efficiently. When Brittaney got started, she said to me, "Don't you worry about anything, I've got you" and she did. They took care of everything. When they were done, Brittaney took me on a tour of the house to make sure that everything had been cleaned to my expectations - It looked UNBELIEVABLY PERFECT!! They had moved the rest of the belongings that were still in the house into the main room, and everything just sparkled - including the bathroom which had been a mess. the baseboards, windowsills and all of those little places we all miss - had been cleaned. It was obvious to me that Majestic Maids takes their job very seriously - they not only do the Job they promise - but they go above and beyond their customer's expectations and make SURE everything is done to your satisfaction. I purchased a Living Social for 2 hours of cleaning with Majestic Maids. Before coming to clean, they asked what my priorities were for the 2 hours. Two girls came out to the house and started cleaning immediately. My hanging light fixtures were dusted as well as my kitchen ceiling fan, which was disgusting. My priorities were my main bathroom and kitchen. They fullfilled my expectations and were also able to finish cleaning the rest of my house (except my girls' bedrooms which I told them not to worry about cleaning). I came home 2 hours later and my house looked and smelled fabulous. I also like that they will do a monthly, 2 hr cleaning. Most cleaning companies that I have talked with, want to do at least bi-weekly cleaning and that does not fit into my budget. I am certainly going to consider monthly cleaning. She also assured they would shred the credit card information after each transaction. The crew texted me when they were running late, however, it fell under the 30 min time window they had mentioned earlier. The young ladies who cleaned my house were amazing. They were on time, which is important to me. They attended to every detail and request I mentioned. I had a family members cat a few days and cat hair took over my home. The ladies made sure there was no evidence left on my furniture or hardwood floor that a animal was ever there. The bathroom tube was cleaned amazingly since my niece loves to draw in it lol. Every mirror and glass at my bar sparkled like never before. They make sure they have a good sense of what you want done before they start, and then they work until everything looks great! I decided to select Majestic Maids after reading some online reviews and seeing that they were a locally owned business. The administrator Linda was extremely cordial on the phone when setting up my service and was able to get us set up with service a week or so after calling. Our team lead by Jamie showed up on time and did a very thorough cleaning of our 2 Br/3.5 Ba house, including extensive work dusting and cleaning baseboards (i.e. things we had neglected in the years we did not hire a cleaning service). All in all the initial cleaning took about 4 hours and our home looked immaculate after the cleaning. One of the cleaners accidentally broke a lamp and they handled it right away by crediting our billing for the value of the lamp. Since then I have hired Majestic Maids for monthly cleaning. I have been satisfied with the monthly cleanings and the time and effort by the individuals who have come to clean our house. Each time they have been punctual and have done an excellent job with the cleanings, especially the bathrooms and the floors. The Company uses an e-mail system to schedule services and notifies you via e-mail of any schedule or time changes. If you need to change a date or time just send them an e-mail and they will work it out. Overall I have been very satisfied and look forward to continuing to do business with Majestic Maids. read more

Blah. That's how I would sum up my experience with Majestic Maids. I've used housecleaning services before (several times, in fact - from Merry Maids to self-employed), so I've had a wide variety of experiences. I have a small-ish rancher, 1200 square feet, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, open floor plan kitchen/living/dining area. Hardwood throughout, granite, stainless, etc. You get the picture. I keep the place picked up very well, vacuum a LOT (daily - I have a Golden...), and regularly dust most surfaces and wipe down the kitchen. My point is the place is FAR from filthy... As a working single dad, however, I just do NOT have the time to do a deep-clean, and I wanted to treat myself to a really nice spring cleaning. Majestic wasn't the cheapest quote I received (other quotes were $80/hr. and $85/hr for a 2-person crew, all estimated 2.5 hrs for what I wanted done), but the reviews were good and the front office lady was outstanding, so I contracted with them. What I requested cleaned (in addition to all surfaces dusted, floors mopped, etc...): baseboards , ceiling fan blades , kitchen cabinets , window sills. So the baseboards in the main living area were wiped where I could see (but later when I looked under my daughter's art table and in my bedroom I could tell they had NOT been touched), the ceiling fan blades in the living room and master bedroom had been cleaned (but NOT my daughters bedroom, despite me asking if they had been - lesson learned, don't ask - just look), about half the kitchen cabinets cleaned (again, it appears the majority of the most visible cabinets were...). Later when my blond-haired daughter filled her tub to take a bath there was a LOT of curly black hair floating in the water (which I didn't notice when the tub was empty) - disgusting is someone else's hair in your tub... The job was scheduled to start at 1pm, they called the day before and requested earlier so we agreed to 11am. They showed at noon (and I had to call to find out where they were). Don't get me wrong - the place LOOKED clean, but considering they didn't have to touch one of the bedrooms (my home office), the small size of the house, the condition I keep my house in to start with, and the request for a deep clean - I expected more than I could produce myself. I'm disappointed, and will consider them a one-shot deal. read more

If you are not satisfied with any part of your cleaning and you tell them within 24 hours, they will do their best to recitfy it. This was HUGE for me. I have used other cleaning services with far less client friendly models. I love walking into my house after it has been cleaned by MM and trust the company and its employees. The cleaning service did a great job in the bathroom, but I was slightly disappointed with the work done in the kitchen. Linda checked in a few days later to see if I was happy with the service and I told her about a few of my concerns and she assured me she would discuss it with her employee who was new. I had a very easy time negotiating what I needed done in the house ahead of time (concentrate on bathrooms & refrigerator, no more than 2 hours) and they went above and beyond what was expected. I have used Majestic Maids about 6 or 7 times. At first, they did a really good job. I have dark bamboo floors, which are difficult to clean, and there was one woman (Dawn), who specifically did a fantastic job with them. My problem was not with the cleaning. My issue is with the owner and the woman who does the scheduling- Linda and Jamie. Out of the 6 or 7 times that we used them, the rescheduled on me (at the last second) at least 3 times, and the cleaners were late to almost every single cleaning- even when I was the first house of the day. On one of the last cleanings, they were late by hours . I was never notified once that they'd be late on any of these occasions. The only way I knew when they'd actually arrive was by calling after they were supposed to have arrived. The last time, your cleaners were so late that they were only able to clean for 2 hours (because I said hey couldn't be there past 6) and a lot did not get done. After the first cleaning, I asked for the carpet cleaner to not be used again because it smelled so strongly that we couldn't let our son sleep in his own room that entire day. They used the same solution on our final cleaning. I ran upstairs as soon as I smelled it, and was informed that there wasn't a note about not using it, which I was told there was. In addition, I specifically requested Dawn for the remaining cleanings. I was under the impression that she would be coming, but not only did she not come to the final cleaning, they sent 2 people that had never cleaned our house. That would have been fine, but I should have at least been given the courtesy of knowing that Dawn was unable to come. Perhaps the final straw for us, is that I was charged $195 on our last cleaning, when I was quoted $140 for bi-weekly cleanings. I was supposed to have had a cleaning the week before (which would have been 3 weeks, as we were out of town the week before), but they called at the last minute and cancelled (surprise, surprise), so it got pushed back by another week. I should not be charged $195 without ever having been quoted that- especially after having been inconvenienced so many times. I would never recommend this company to anyone-especially to anyone looking for consistency. You never know who you will get, or what time they will actually arrive, if at all. read more

I had some specific questions and she knew what she was talking about but was completely honest with me of what they are and are not able to do for me. I'm moving out of my house, and scheduled for one of their teams to come by and clean. When I spoke to them on the phone, they assured me that baseboards would be wiped, walls would be spot checked, and doors would be spot checked, also. My house is empty. All I had were some boxes in the middle of my living room. Nothing was wiped down. Not one single window sill, baseboard, door, fan blade or wall. My oven and fridge were squeaky clean... My bathroom was done well... But for $180 I could have done it myself. The women were very nice, but I don't know what they were doing for 2 hours. I had the carpets professionally cleaned early in the morning so they didn't need to do anything with those... Truthfully, on their way out they asked if everything was to my satisfaction. I lied. I'm not an overly confrontational person, and all of their stuff was already packed away in their car. I wasn't willing to pay another $90/hour for them to do what they were supposed to do the first time through. And lastly, they were late. 30 minutes late. All because they never confirmed my address, and were driving around looking for a place that didn't exist. Not pleased. read more
