We had a little bit of a wait but it gave us time to review the menu. Hubby had the chicken and waffles, my son had the salmon eggs Benedict, and I had the pancakes with berries. There was a friendly gal at the door taking names and numbers. I could hardly believe the wait time but decided to put down my name and do a little window shopping during the wait. We were eventually called and texted to let us know our table was ready. Our table was in the very back corner, next to a group of girls loudly talking about their drunken escapades the night before. It was entertaining to say the least. Our server was super friendly and accommodating to dietary restrictions/modifications. I ordered a Turkish Benedict on gluten free toast.... So. Good. Amazing flavors. My daughter got the croissant avocado toast which she loved. I also got a pistachio latte and was pleasantly surprised to see the used pistachio butter and not a syrup. It was lovely. I had to keep my child from drinking it all! While the wait was long, it was definitely worth it. The space is smaller than I imagined. The food came out fast for how packed it was. It's worth it!

Their crepe selection is honestly one of the best parts of the menu, with so many unique options to choose from, but the House of Crepe was definitely the standout!! It was packed with flavor, perfectly balanced, and tasted just as good as it looked. If you're looking for something sweet to balance the savory, the mixed berry crepe is delicious! Everything felt fresh, homemade, and thoughtfully prepared. Can't wait to come back!!

It's small and homey and playful and inviting. We had both savory crepes and sweet crepes here and they were all good. For savories, we had the Bonjour and the Love Hate Thing. I liked the Love Hate Thing better. The maple syrup on the Bonjour didn't do anything for me. There was just a lot going on. The sweet crepes were delicious; both the Banoffee and the Cookie Monster were tasty, but Cookie Monster wins--the crunchy bits on there were clutch. The crepes themselves have a really nice texture and flavor, not gummy or tough, and they complimented both the sweet and savory fillings nicely. Next time I go I'm going to try a waffle or French toast, as all the plates around me looked great and I think sweet might be my way to go here. Coffee is Lavazza, espresso is LaPrima.

They catered an International Women's Day event for us last year and did a great job, and I've also been in several times on my own. When it's good, it's really good--but there is some inconsistency. I've ordered the same items on different visits and had days where it was excellent and other days where it was just so-so. My hope (and assumption) is that as staff gets more fully trained and gains experience, the quality will become more consistent. The space itself is very cute, and don't be fooled by how small it looks when you walk in--there's an upstairs and a back patio, which is a nice surprise. Pricing is a bit high for what you get, but that's pretty standard for Lawrenceville/Penn Ave. Overall, I'm glad this place exists and I'll continue to support it. With a little more consistency, it could be a standout neighborhood favorite.

With that said, it is a bit tight with not that many seats, but the option of window seating and seating at the bar certainly helps. I got the cookie crisp cereal milk latte, raspberry almond tart, and cheese toast. It wasn't until halfway through my meal that I rememered to snag a picture. The food was sooooo good, all the flavours perfectly individual and shining through of each item. The tart wasnt too moist or dry, the latte had a lovely light espresso with the aftertaste of the yummy cookie crisp milk, and the toast was a delicious mix of salty and sweet. I was sooo full by the end of it. Before heading out, I had to check out their products and ended up leaving with some goat cheese with herbs and dried flowers and some gluten-free focaccia that I'm excited to try.

Beautiful outdoor covered patio and extensive menu of BBQ options!!…read more We stopped for a weekend Brunch around 10:30 and the place was still completely empty! The hostess stand is a bit of a farce - the employees seemed to hope that people would just seat themselves. Even when we were greeted - they said to just pick your own seat anyway! The decor is pretty cool. I'm partial to the stacked wood for the smoker as you enter, but the rustic feel of everything made the vibe come alive. With the smoker right next to the patio, the wonderful smell of the barbecue permeated the entire restaurant. The brunch menu was just as extensive as their lunch/dinner menu. We grabbed two coffees - which seems like a rarity - as they brought sugar and milk in little dipping sauce cups. The candied bacon was a MUST. 6 slices of thick cut bacon drizzled in brown sugar for only $6. Walter's Benedict with Pork Belly will stalk my dreams... the flavorful crust charred to the fork tender pork belly casually laying on the buttery, crispy chive biscuit smothered in the perfect hollandaise is the brunch you dream of but never really comprehend. Brisket Hash was unfortunately a nightmare though. The menu doesn't inform you that the brisket will be chip chopped into fine dust and coated in hot sauce. It was so spicy that it was almost inedible and the 1/4" of oil under the potatoes and eggs proved that even the hot sauce felt like crying. In all, the amazing waitresses and cool setting outweigh the one menu issue! We will be back!

DELIGHTFUL. We got a peppermint latte and a vanilla oat milk latte. The flavors were rich but not cloyingly overpowering.
