    Nasi Goreng Combo

Food here is really good. Staff is friendly and food comes out hot and fresh. I got the Nasi Goreng combo plate that comes with chicken sate, a fried fritter, and noodles. Great price for the portion!

Always coming back here for their combo menu for the best deal. You will get your Soto, rice, and sate plus the spring roll! PS: The portion is really really generous! Full satisfaction guaranteed with excellent service.

First time here and wow, I am very impressed! We ordered the Mi Goreng (fried noodles) and Nasi Goreng (fried rice). I've only ever had the instant Indomie Mi Goreng before, so this was my first time trying it fresh at a restaurant, and it honestly blew my mind. Everything was super flavorful, fresh, and well balanced. As a Chinese person, the flavors felt both unique and familiar at the same time, which I really enjoyed. You can tell there's some overlap in ingredients and techniques, but the spices and sauces make it distinctly Indonesian. Definitely a great local spot and I'm happy to support a small business. I'll definitely be coming back.

Indonesian Chicken Sate, Bakmi Ayam with Beef Meatballs and... Nasi Bungkus

Went to eat at Mr.Sate Restaurant, carving of Indonesian food today, and their 1) Nasi Bungkus along with both chili sauces that I've ate are so good!! 2) The Chicken Sate comes with Lontong (rice cake) and legit (real) peanut butter sauce that is really good and 3) the noodles with chicken and beef meatballs is yummy!! Their place is pretty big & the parking building's in rear so when the weather is not sunny, we can park in rear and walk-in to the restaurant immediately! The restaurant is near and clean, the Waiter - the son of the Restaurant owner, is very friendly. Their service is also fast! Their Customer Service is a plus too! The Restaurant Owner happened to bump in & greet us, she's very nice and friendly too! Happy owners make Happy & Tasty Food!! The food that she makes & we order, are all delicious and we love it! They also have made us enjoying the food in a relax environment,..much better compared to other Indonesian Restaurants that we went a couple days ago. The prices are also good / better than other Indonesian Restaurants we know! They have so many choices and the prices are very reasonable & affordable! They served a very good portion (of food) and fulfilled us. Come eat or order from Mr.Sate! I recommend You, your families and friends to try the Mr Sate's food there or order "to go" or via grub-hub delivery (as I read it on their window!) We'll definitely come back and try more food and drink soon! Thank U for making and serving a very delicious Indonesian food, esp the Sate and Bakmi Ayam and Nasi Bungkus! We all know that Indonesian Sate's always no 1 best food in Indonesia, easy & always tasty to eat with lontong! We'll come back and eat some more

If you're craving Indonesian food on the cheaper side in the Culver/Westside area, this spot is a decent option. I visited this restaurant on an early Monday evening and there were little to no patrons there. The interior is small, but comfy and there's also an outdoor seating area. There were a lot of different things on the menu, but I ended up ordering the Nasi Kuning because it came with a bit of everything. Firstly, the tumeric fried chicken. It was good and crispy, but on the dryer side which I don't prefer, but a lot of Southeast Asian cuisine likes their meat well done. Next is the yellow coconut milk rice which was flavorful and fluffy. The egg balado and perkedel were good, but I was a bit disappointed with the fried noodles. They seemed old and not very flavorful. This was all a good portion size for $16.50 and I left pretty full. The staff here are super nice and even asked me if I was Indonesian haha! There's also a parking structure behind the restaurant you can park at. Overall, I think this is a solid Indo restaurant and while it's not mind-blowing, I'd still recommend.

A gem of a find! It's a refreshing change of flavors in the asian food scene on this side of LA. The Sate has a mild sweetness with the creamy peanut butter. Beef potato had a nice little kick. Soto Mie was not that spicy but tasty. Tender beef chunks and the cabbage comes together nicely. Great flavors and great price. Would definitely come back again to try their Nasi Goreng.

MR SATE IS SO GOOD my husband said it was the best he's had as far as Indonesian food in California. Prices are great as well!!! Friendly staff. Quick service.

Ambiance: it's a family style Indonesian restaurant with limited seats inside, and a small cozy patio outside, and it's a poplar takeout place serving regulars nearby Service: friendly and attentively refilled water Food: plenty of skewers, noodles and rice dishes, combos have the best value here CHICKEN SATE - *** Soy marinaded chicken pieces in sticks BEEF POTATO - ***** Dry marinaded beef topped with homemade balado sauce, tender and juicy, highly recommend SHRIMP BALADO - **** Grilled shrimp with homemade balado sauce, tomato, & scallion, light refreshing taste, recommend BABI - *** Sweet soy marinaded pork in sticks PERKEDEL - *** Indonesian fried patties made of mashed potatoes, minced meat, & scallion, soft texture NASI KUNING - **** Yellow coconut milk rice with a side of Turmeric fried chicken, Egg balado, Perkedel & Fried noodle, variety of ingredients, recommend SOTO MIE - ** Mildly spicy beef based noodle soup, with egg noodles, shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, mild flavor, not spicy Price: generous portions and affordable prices, about $25 per person for a fulfilling meal

The actual nasi bungkus before I inhaled it

Food: 10/10 nasi bungkus is a definite! Sambal terasi, pempek, sate ayam, nasi goreng, soda gembira gado-gado are amazing! I love their sambal terasi! It's close to my preferred taste and so good in my palate. Service: Fast, attentive and accommodating to us as first comers. They gave great recommendation and are nice people Ambience: I don't need great ambience to enjoy good food. I need real good food to enjoy. I still want to comment this place is clean and tidy.

Use to pass by this place almost everyday when I use to live down the street, never tried it, now I have been coming here frequently. Food here has so much flavor and great portions. I highly recommend the Soto Mie and the Nasi Kuning. Service is great and ambiance is just a basic mom and pop restaurant. Give it a try!

Glad we got to try it and cross of the list. The décor here is also really interesting with an open kitchen and patio. Also, speaking of open kitchen, there's a 3% charge on the food that's call Kitchen Love. Not sure if that's the standard at restaurants in the area or if it's on the menu but that can definitely rack up with a full dinner with friends. As for parking, there's meters if you're lucky to snag a spot or there's plenty of parking structures in the area.

My sugar sugar and I were looking for a place to have lunch with our daughter and saw this out the corner of our eyes. We pass it all the time but never thought to stop. One thing I love is some good Thai food. I'm from Long Beach and we're know for Thai food! So I have high expectations!!! There's certain cultures that absolutely cook with love and Thai food is at the top of that list. The marriage of flavors are unique and divine. BKK101 does just that!! We were greet with warmth and offered to sit anywhere we like. Since our daughter is young they brought us a high chair and a kids cup to keep her occupied (thank you!). I love the look and feel of the place. Small but inviting. We ordered veggie spring rolls, shrimp pineapple fried rice, and yellow curry with tofu. The curry came with a side of white rice too! Spring rolls were delicious with the right amount of crunch but the sauce. The sauce. The sauce. Yummers! Almost licked the plate! Yellow curry with tofu was heavenly. The right amount of heat, flavor and veggies. I loved the potatoes and carrots and the baby did too! But the show stopper for me was the pineapple fried rice. Who would have thought cashews and raisins in some rice would taste so good!!!! It was cooked perfectly!!! Right amount of curry and veggies. I wanted it for myself but my mama taught me that sharing is caring. All items were piping hot meaning, they cook to order. Went early to see if anything opened or if walk-in would be faster, surprisingly they actually had something come available sooner. We opted to sit inside and loved the ambiance. Food - amazing! I read reviews first and watched a couple IG videos so I knew a general idea of what we wanted to order. Glad the server suggested the orange chicken over the walnut shrimp when we were debating it. Chil wontons, absolutely a must get, different from DTF, not crazy spicy but full of flavor and richness. XO fatty noodles, perfect chewiness on the rolled noodles and the flavors were well balanced, we enjoyed them with a little chili paste and the orange chicken as the protein. Orange chicken, soooo much more flavorful than your average Panda Express orange chicken, good sized nuggets of chicken that were crispy and tender at the same time, and the zest livened it up. BBQ pork shank, our server did warn us it's not the easiest to eat, but it's worth it, hard to see cutting it off the bone because it was so dimly lite in the restaurant and your hands will get sticky but once you get chunks off the bone and your bao bun built it's delicious especially when you get the lacquered crispy skin yummm! Only skip for the night was the mango sticky rice. Much rather would've spend $8 on something else. The mango was tart/sour. The sticky rice was too wet and mushy. It was a pass for both of us. Service - our server was awesome. From greeting to end, he was the right amount of attentive and was super helpful with suggestions.
